babajeje123: Yippee...it's testimony time and a very long one it is. The whole journey started in August and we had December as our move-in date. Our searches led us to Persimmon, paid reservation however we had no peace of mind. One, how they would be able to finish the plot in a space of few months, two the reviews we read about Persimmon were not encouraging and the fact that we would stick to their Internet provider discouraged us from proceeding with them. So we requested for money.
Then, we moved to Keepmoat. A very decent property with a lot of freebies for shikini money. Integrated fridge & freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, flooring with carpeting, turf in the garden, and a wardrobe in the master bedroom. All for 167k pere with 5% deposit. We reserved that day! But the property is in a different location from where we are. We didn't even care, so happy submitting all docs till the result of the local searches came out. The area is prone to flooding. Wetin be this? We sha consulted, talked to people and the advised we should go ahead as the area has never experienced flooding in the last 50 years. But my mind no touch ground at though we kept moving by faith. Went to do door knocking one day and the guy I spoke to talked well of the area. No serious snagging issues since he moved in, quick response time for little issues that came up, he sha spoke well but mind refused to touch ground. Then one day, I felt like checking what the council tax in that area is for same property. £174! I've found a good reason to cancel. Currently paying £110, paying £174 means we will be doing 010 daily. Brain-washed madam and we cancelled though we lost so money. We continued to search and we found Gentoo. They didn't think all our boxes but ticked the important ones. We can sleep well without praying that it should not rain and council tax will make us do 101 at least . We knew we won't cancel cos we found peace throughout the whole process.
Contract exchanged yesterday, completion was today, going for keys tomorrow. Let somebody shout hallelujah Big congratulations. If I may ask please, what lender did you use for your 5% and what's the interest rate? |

Bros, abeg do VFS submission Atleast you'd stand a higher chance of getting a response before your travel date. Parcks: Good morning house,
I have an invitation to attend a conference in SA as a panelist. I iused the DHA eVisa portal and until now, it’s still reading “Awaiting Adjudication outcome “.
But I’m checking on Nairaland (should have checked before I used the online portal 🤦🏽♂️) and some persons are saying physical application is usually better.
Is it possible to still go to their office and apply? Or do I wait until I get a response from them? My flight is on 7th Dec., 2024, so I don’t know if I still have the luxury of time.
I will deeply appreciate a response, house. |

Good progress with your DevOps learning . You can be sure it will pay off in the next months, I can almost guarantee you that based on experience. One opinion (if I may), go for Terraform first in your Infra as a code preferred tool. Reasons - 1. Far more acceptable across orgs, coys and multinationals. 2. Works with almost all platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle, Firewalls, Onprem VMs, K8s, mention it) 3. Integrates better with 3rd party variable, dialogflow and mgt tools (terragrunt, terratest, Sentinel). 4. Open source, the support, documentations and available examples (on github) is next to none. All the best |

I’m confused . Have contacted 2more solicitors and they confirm same. Have you considered using the same solicitor as the seller? standfit007: Very heplful feedback, thanks.
Wondering how many days the hotel booking need to be as i'd have to pay direct to them right? will AirBnB be okay here? and/or any named hotel recommendation in midrand area? to and from flight should be what dates? do i need personal insurance? Hotel booking for 2weeks should suffice (shouldn't your new employer take care of that though?). Anyways, the good news is you don't have to pay. I used Airport Inn Isando for time and I just sent them an email and used their reply for my book (however that was long ago). Flight (also unpaid) can be one-way or if you want return, atleast 6months apart. Insurance is required for student Visa (or so) but you don't need it for CSV. Please refer to the DHA website for updated requirements though. Maybe I'm out of touch on some of these items. |

standfit007: Hi. Please do you have any info that passport is collected/submitted during submission of Critical Skill Visa(CSV) application at VFS? Secondly, assuming the response to the first question is a no (ie, passport isnt collected/submitted until there is a decision like Canada visa), how long is an applicant given as max time to provide his passport at VFS for stamping of the decision by SA embassy? Moreso, is hotel booking and flight required for CSV application submission?
<Any other person who reads this and got any response should kindly respond. Many thanks for your assistance >
A trip has been scheduled whre passport is required and of course the application for CSV is to be made before the planned trip. You don't need to submit your passport for CSV anymore. According to VFS, when the decision is out, you have 6months or so to collect your decision else it will be returned to DHA or embassy. And yes, you need hotel and flight bookings for CSV applications, POF isn't huge though (5-10k rands equivalent will do) as you must have a job offer to be eligible in the first place. |

justwise: I will take the NHS job offer, 5m is a lot of money yes but Nigeria has no value system and the economy is very unstable .
Take this as a five years project and the family will be settled, someone has to do night shift to make this work. It's interesting how this argument has "evolved" sha. I recalled it used to be "200k job in NG or relocating to Canada" around 2013 or so later it became, "if I earn 500k in NG, I have no business relocating" then "Bank Mgrs relocating are fools" blah blah then the benchmark moved to 1m, 2m......now 5m I'm not advising anyone please (the question seems hypothetical to me at best) but if in a bid to keep the trend logical, the NGN salary moved from 200k to 5m in less than 15years, I wouldn't bank on it when deciding my future. |

Just to submit, you won’t proceed to add documents. Can anyone try it out please and give feedback. Thank you Unless it changed recently, yes you can submit another application on DHA portal while your visa is still active. I've had to do it for someone before. |

Any help please? I did, quite recently. Travelled with British Airline. It was quite straightforward The lady at the counter checked and said there's a memo on their system that it's permitted. No issues whatsoever. |
