In 1976, the name, Anambra was invented by military govt led by Muritalla Mohammed which created Anambra and Imo states that year. Before then, Orsumoghu in Nnewi South, Iseke, Uli, Amorka, and many other autonomous communities in southern Anambra were in Orlu division. They and Orlu are all affected by the mayhem of unknown gunmen and soldiers.

It is a known fact that Orlu people are the richest Igbo and the first to discover trading in west Africa. They are the pure Isu and Orsu. They are divided unequally into Imo and Anambra. They are the ones that occupied Orlu zone and some parts of Okigwe and Mbano in Imo state, Isuochi and Isukwuato in Abia state, Ihiala, Nnewi, Aguatta and Orumba in Anambra state and Igbouzo and Ogwashi ukwu in Delta.

Anambra state is very stagnant and the least progressive state in the whole of southeastern states. Stop being foolish and ginger your government to work and develop the state and stop thinking that defending it online will change people's narrative about it. That state is a disgrace. Anytime people travel to Anambra state and come back to north they will always tell us how noisy cheat beating we are, that nothing is in our place. That Anambra state that supposed to be the leading Igbo state is urgly, disorganized and lack good roads. My cousin married to an Owerre girl . We went to Owerre and brought her back to my village in Neni Anambra state , at first she was looking around as if she was scared. So when I asked her what was the issue, she said that Neni village is by far more developed than Owerre . I asked her , what does she mean, she said I should look around and see mansions and well paved roads everywhere, that Owerri is more or less a slum and a glorified village compare to Neni. We all laughed over it. But she insisted that imo state is so backward and Owerri is a ghetto. At last we understood her point and told her that government and individuals are building Anambra. That it’s not the same in imo state and that’s why Owerri is still a village and abandoned by both the government and the people. Now if Neni could be a lot better than Owerri, it tells you how backward imo state is , more especially Owerri. I have been saying this just like others that imo state is yet to have a capital city, what you have is a ghetto. If Neni can be better than Owerri, how much more Onitsha and Awka , those ones are like America compare to Owerri. Now it is making sense why most imo indigenes prefer to live in Onitsha and Awka than to live in a slum and a glorified village that’s Owerri.
Anambra is the greener pasture of ndi imo state, there’s no one family in imo state that doesn’t have one or two families living in Anambra but you cannot find any one Anambra indigene living anywhere in imo state. That’s a pointer to you about which is more developed. Anambra has so many things imo state doesn’t have and that’s why Anambra is greater than imo state in all facets of development. You can compare imo state to Ebonyi or Ekiti but never Anambra . Know this realities and know peace and stop crying because it can never change the backward condition of imo state .
