For starters, my mom was never shallow, or judgemental of anyone. She certainly wouldn't label anyone "ugly".

And if "hypothetically", she said my girlfriend was "ugly", I'd just laugh it off, and respectfully let her know her label made no difference to me. I see her differently, and it was me who'd be living with her, not my mom!

I form my own opinions about people, even if the majority say different. That's why I have a brain. I listened to someone once, and it almost cost me dear.
