This development reminds me of the story I read sometime back that Nigeria politicians will be ban for getting honorary doctorate degree from Public universities in the country. This means there is hope for those politicians that are yet to get theirs from non-Nigerian Universities

The title of this thread is misleading. When you say "Oge bags a doctorate degree" you will think she studied her butt off like some of us to get it. Instead, she was honored with a doctorate degree just like Dame Patience Jonathan was honored with one too.

Anyways, I checked out the university's website out of curiosity and found out that it is one low life American university like that with absolutely no campuses in the United States. The university has campuses in Brazil, China, Ghana, Nigeria and Ukraine only. The university is approved as a non-profit university by the United States Department of Treasury and is incorporated into the State of Idaho (the potato producing state). It is not an accredited university.

Obtaining a degree from a non-accredited university here in America is like obtaining a blank sheet of paper which no decent employer - whose worth their grain of salt - will recognize. According to the university's website, the university was created just for people in developing countries to give people in such countries access to a university education. ℓ☺ℓ @ doctorate degree. Oge dat couldn't even graduate from Nnamdi AZikiwe University because of a carry over. She refused to come and rewrite her carryover cos she felt she is a star and d lecture involved refused to waive it for her. D lecturer is actually d toughest in theatre arts.

She did no earn a doctorate degree. She was honored with a doctorate degree by Wisconsin International University, USA. She now has a honorary doctorate degree, the kind that people like Kollington, Barrister etc, had.
