kettykin: This people dont get it , you call somebody who tells you the truth envious.

Now Tell me what would Abuja become if the Federal Government did not move the Federal Capital to Abuja , my guess is a very thick Jungle good for hunting game.

Same applies to Lagos without the Commercial Capital status and status as a former Federal Capital Lagos would not be better than Borno state or Cross River state.

The Yorubas who claim to have builr Lagos should have atleast also built Ibadan so that Ibadan would be the 3rd or 4th most innovative City. But what do we have , Ibadan is currently the Dirtiest State Capital.

I once said in this Forum and i keep Repeating it that Lagos without the fore Core Industries which Abacha forgot to move to Abuja ( and which inshalla the next Northern President must move To Abuja by 2019 if Nijiriya remains one) would not be better than Borno State talk less of Kano.

The 4 core Industries which has given Yorubas undu advantage over other tribes are
1. The Banking Industries whose headquaters are in Lagos ( the biggest 4 banks are not owned by Yorubas , Zenith,First bank, UBA,Ecobank and Acess) only GTB is owned by Yorubas , these banks HQ should be moved to Abuja to Ensure National Cohesion and unity. No part of Nigeria should be given undue Advantage over others parts .just as every part of Nigeria should develop at its pace

2. The oil and Gas industry whose Headquaters are in Lagos ( the Multinational Oil industry Headquaters in the Up stream oil industry ;Shell BP, Total fina elf,Chevron, Mobil e.t.c are in Lagos which is against the Norm) These Oil and Gas companies have their Rigs in the Niger Delta and make all their Money there and it is great injustice to the Niger Delta people to have the HQ in Lagos when Lagos is not a Federal Capital or an oil Producing State. They pay their tax to a non oil producing state, Notice how all the Freedom fighters and rights Activist from the South West dont talk about this injustice to the NigerDelta one of such fools was in Abuja to take the FG to court over some flimsy excuses and he seems not to know about the injustice to Niger Deltans , God Help Nigeria .

3. The telecommuncation Industry whose Headquaters and gateway switches/Billing platforms are in Lagos( these Telecommunication Industry located their Billing Platforms in Lagos ) These shoudl move their Gateway Swiches and Billing Platforms and Headquaters to Abuja to enhance interconnectivity among other things it will be also easy for NCC to adequately monitor them and provide real regulation against bandwidth abuse , inteference and supervision. Presently they are in Lagos even though they are making money from the Niger Delta and the Commercial cities of the South East, the Big trading states of the North and they are paying taxes to Lagos state Government despite making money from other states.

4. The maritime Industry for a Country as Big and diverse as Nigeria to have all its 3 Deep Sea port in one place in a state Apapa leaves one in a state of shock and utterly speechless, this is nothing but a claculated attempt to kill off enterprenuership for a counrty with one of the Largest coast lines.
Nigeria has 6 ports 3 of such ports are in Apapa and are deep sea ports while the other 3 ; warri, onne and calabar are in nger Dleta and are very shallow sea ports . The FG should as a matter of Urgency and National stability implement 3 Deep Sea Ports in Niger Deltaand make Ibaka Port a Maritime Hub for the Country
The Nigerian Maritime industry is even bigger than the Banking industry. and is about 20 % of the GDP for an import dependent country like Nigeria , all this add up to the GDP and Economy of Lagos
This will ensure that even in state of war and ApapaPort is attacked , the country can still depend on the Niger Delta Ports for its exports and imports and it reduce the stress on the Roads as a result of transportation of Imported goods

The Federal Government through the Ministry of Aviation should ensure that the International Airports in Enugu and Cargo Owerri come on stream and also that Eastern Flights to and fro Overseas originate and terminate in the East so that the Enugu Airpor and Ph Airport can become Aviation Hubs and not just for Pilgrimage to Isreal, if it means sacking all the stumbling blocks in aviation ministry then so be it .

And if they move the four major industries to Abuja, How will they succeed when the market is in Lagos?, Is it Telecoms or maybe they can send pole and mast from Abuja to 18 million lagosians or na maritime, maybe hey would transport the goods from abuja to lagos by road...

Come on man, you cite your head quarters where it's most advantageous and as @ now, Lagos has it!

Omo! See child's play. My father's farm big pass ur father's farm. Last time I checked tribalism has not be able to solve any problem in Nigeria. It only create hatred among the good people of this nation.
While those who we choose to lead us are depriving us of the necessities of life, the
followers are so silly that they choose not to fight the corrupt leaders but one another. This is pure display of ignorance and fo..olishness.

Sir,thank you for the polite response , what i really advocate is for the Relocation of the HQ of all Oil and Gas Multinational to Niger Delta , Niger Delta has the Oil and Gas Deposits and not Lagos. The Telecomm and Banks have a rightto cite their business any here the deem fit but their Head quaters need to be in Abuja for close supervision and regulation. Now Niger Delta needs a Deep sea port , it will run side by side Lagos port and provide for Redundancy , why leave Lagos ports as Deep sea port and Niger Delta ports as shallow sea ports if not to covertly strangulate the economy of Niger Delta , i believe at the apporpriate time who ever was responsible for these lop sided decisions will be brought to book no matter how higly placed.
if it is population that is the sole benchmark for citing industry headquaters ,then Kano ought to have all the industries then.
