That yeye tree just found it comfortable to grow there. The fact that it is fork a spring has added to the water’s cleanliness and clarity. It doesn’t bear so much sediment. Even if it did, hitting the Niger delta, it is most likely bound to do depositional work. Forget whatever the heck is growing there or existing there. Rivers have their sources, channels, tributaries and distributaries. They form part of drainage basins.
