Breakfast (5days ago). It's been long I cooked. I've been on bread diet. Buhari administration no want make we eat again. Just imagine, a module of rice is now 1,100. May God help us o.
Meanwhile, I saw strawberry in Jos the day before yesterday. A pack of about 13 - 15 fruits cost #500..

Please does anyone here want to sell oven (local oven preferably). My budget is 13k. I really miss baking...I miss baking fresh bread and meat pie. Baking is my therapy.

Good morning chefs/foodies. The pics here are making my stomach grumble this morning

U would have said this around September!

I don port go Ghana, trying out some familiar Ghanaian dishes. I can say our dishes looks better and healthier than theirs. Also tastier. Except the Akara I posted( has more oil than ours). Their okro soup is a disaster.

I think they mixed up western and their traditional food together most times. They also have some cuisines from Nigeria with little alterations.
I will make their chicken veggie stew this weekend. I like that but will skip some things.

The Ghanaian lady I buy things from her African shop. She boasted their cuisines are better than ours and I told her I will try some popular ones out and report to her.
But checking them out on YouTube, I doubt if I can try much. Imagine cooking veggie jollof rice and u pour in the veggies first before u put your rice undecided.

Spot on, having visited East / North / West Africa countries for holidays with the exception of Central / South African countries , l, totally agree with you, for correct food & varieties , Nigeria takes the African gold Cup as having the best cuisines in my opinion based on my visit to the countries mentioned above, I don't know what Central / South Africa / has until I am able to visit in the future,

Furthermore, for example, l tasted foods like fried cassava like our potato chips in Nigeria , corn food / unriped mashed plantatains / rice all put together in the same plate with beans as their soup, ground nut soup with sliced garden eggs inside the soup in East Africa, something like Ogbono soup with rice in Niamey, Niger Republic, Mexican peas / couscous / flat bread like chapati in Algeria / Morocco etc grin

Naija no dey carry last o...laslas, they'd take your best food and make it theirs.
Do you know that the party jollof rice recipe we all brag about today originally belonged to the Togolese ?
Speaking about the Togolese... They also have some good recipes too but they're kinda tricky to replicate
