The two SIB's there could very easily and predictably be Skye and Diamond. Diamond has had negative eps since forever. Skye has been dead for more than 2 years now. The other none SIB on that list could be Unity which had a disastrous FY 2016 result. Heritage, although not quoted, is also rumoured to be having liquidity issues. You bypassed these ones and started mentioning Fidelity and Sterling.
Next time make informed posts on issues, not just post for posting sake and nearly giving someone heart attack grin

A strong naira is not synonymous with a strong economy. The naira has gained 25% since February 2017 on the back of 12 interventions of a total of $2.27bn. The questions on the lips of Nigerians are:

-Is this for real?!
-Is it sustainable?!
-And what next?!

Simple economics tells us that, without a change in the market structure, gains in the exchange rate are likely to be temporary and transient. Surges in supply with no policy shift will only entrench multiple exchange rates and encourage arbitrage.

The CBN is increasing forex supply with good intentions, but as they say “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”. Whilst Nigerians ponder on how much the naira will gain, we see the CBN trying to catch a falling knife without sustaining any wounds.

In this edition of the LBS Breakfast Club, Bismarck Rewane and the FDC Think Tank explains the economics of exchange rates and the impact of a strong naira on sectors of the economy and your business.

Please be reminded that the CBN did 12 million futures contract USDNGN July 2017.

They got the contract at N250/$

This should tell you where the dollar - naira rate is headed.

Keep an eye on what transacts on FMDQ and you will be able to foretell what the FUTURE holds.

Enjoy your day people.

Thanks for the info, but do futures guarantee supply of dollars?

I hate when our economy FEEDS ON BLOOD, but it is a reality I was born to meet and the politicians wont even need my assistance here.
I just pray we use this brief period to do the needful... undecided
It may not really be as brief as expected as the fight involves two 'bad ass' guys... angry

Are you a Fundamental Analyst?

Many "investors" on this forum trading on NSE are short-term traders and not Fundamental analyst. "Fundamental analysis works better for value investors who are generally known as long term investors" ...@OakPearl. Fundamental Analysis is a top-down approach to selecting a fundamentally sound stock to invest in.

First and foremost, you need to evaluate the general economy. The economy is like the tide carrying individual companies like boats. When the economy expands, most industry groups and companies benefit. If the economy is in good shape, then move into group selection. Based on govt policies, which groups will benefit more, most etc? This will then be narrow down to company selection...

The final step to this analysis process would be to take apart the financial statements and come up with a means of evaluating the company to invest in... Sound fundamental analysis will help identify companies that represent a good value, a strong balance sheet, stable earnings, and staying power...

Key Questions
-Is your analysis robust enough?
-Is your investment acumen is for long term (6 months or more)?

If you focus your investment judgement only on declared dividends by companies, you are not a fundamental analyst but a DIVIDEND HUNTER and it will back-fire at some points...

Yes ke.

If dividend has been decided since december/January, and the stock price start doing between 50%-100% around march/April.

Who do you blame for that.
