Chief Loco, this is your answer:
Most of those rules don't hold in Nigeria especially 3, 6, 9 and 10. There is an abundance of historical incidents that invalidate them for NSE.

Thank God you say it.How much are u loosing now?

If una no wan see you money inside limbo, go for fixed income.

It is fool paradise to think say you can make money in short time.

I have been counting my losses since February applying average down approach. 2 weeks ago, i decided to be on watching mode, although, promised myself not to sell at loss come what may. Reading a couple of analysis from many ogas this weekend, i begin to be tempted to average down again on Zenith only. Is it a good direction? Useful advice is needed from everybody before giving instruction to my broker.

tough call . . most successful traders preach against it .
it can drain available capital very quickly and worse still is d mental drain on ur emotional capital
but some traders are very comfortable with doubling down on d losing position oh.
IMO, i think it's more forgiving or appropriate in an uptrend and can be very complicated in a down trend.

Chief Loco, this is your answer:

This your NUMBER 10!

This was what reduced my profit on fidelity substantially earlier in the year. The memory is stuck in my head.....watching millions of bids at 4.33, and I didn't offload. Greed!

Eventually offloaded at 3.xx. It's still my biggest profit on NSE though.

We learn everyday wink

Things are happening at lightening speed this year.

If the index loses on Monday (tomorrow), the losing streak this year will tie with what we witnessed around October/November 2014 (highest since 2010).

A reversal is likely soon.

Not a recommendation o.

severe bearish streak . .

Oct 2014:
- oil broke below $90/bbl for the first time in over 3 yrs , d index started a 2 yr bearish trend

July 2015:
- both oil and nseasi had a relief rally q1 of 2015 before the down trend continues .
- oil rose 48 to $66 before heading down to $30 by 2016 jan

I think the bearish trend might continue for a while as foreign investors are shifting to US Treasury Bills as the yield is getting better. IMHO,I might be wrong and some stocks might experience a reversal.

The loss of patience and lack of clear direction during the long wait for Buhari's ministerial list also contributed to the bearish sessions in 2015

MSCI MOVEMENT IN PORTFLIO FOR 1 JUNE 2018/GENERAL MARKET COMMENT

The fund bough some and sold a lot.

For the earlier part of the week, selling may still continue as the total volume as at Friday was still thin.

I have added some other information to make better decision with the activity of the fund. Anytime the weekly NAV is negative up to 5%, I will start reducing my activities in the market.

Using the fund’s portfolio as a guide, “green” mean buying while “red” is selling.
