onegentleguy: Yayira: Yes I did advise folks to stay off DIAMOND BANK. ...and the the reason wasn't far fetched; Given the last few spate of the coys financial print(particularly in the last 3 quarters), the RED FLAGS did seem to be exacerbating. However @ a price below 0.80k(I bought @ 0.71k), it was clear that investors apathy on the back of an unwarranted fear of the unknown had set in. This is where a trader with an eye for a quick inherent VALUE in the short term should swiftly cease the opportunity that comes from a clear case of excessive FEAR on a quoted stock. ...this was the case with DIAMOND. It was clear that the investors therein had become overly fearful. ...there was an imbalance with fear in relation to the actual drive in value. That imbalance created an arbitrage opportunity to tap from. ONEGENTLEGUY likes to tap from such imbalance !! ...especially when the said coys P/B, BVPS and EEM shows that there is still an inherent VALUE therein. Again if u have been following up on my few post just before and after the merger announcement, u would've decoded when I keyed into DIAMOND. ...especially if u can read between the lines.(refer to one of the post which was a revert to my ruggedprof above) The reason I chose to advise some folks who consulted me privately instead of on a public platform like this is because with these sort of trade(the intention was always to trade it and NOT invest), it makes sense to avoid putting it out publicly so when things go wrong u wouldn't be blamed. I like to be very careful in cases like this so one can protect his integrity. So Bottom line is; DIAMOND wasn't HEALTHY(still isn't) but in the midst of that poor health, there was an opportunity. ...we simply took advantage of it by been contrarian !! Cheers. 4 Likes 1 Share |

For now we shall patiently wait on the RIGHT time to accept back ACCESS once the 'divorce litigation with him is settled'. I prefer to implore the use of technicals to trade certain unhealthy stocks. ...which is what we have done with DIAMOND. I only marry FUNDAMENTALLY HEALTHY coys while also keeping a tab on them !! On the other side of the divide, Mr AIICO is currently the only coy that is'nt making me a happy man. ...down in the red. But we know it shall eventually deliver in a big way !! #JUSTBELIEVE #ANDKEEPBELIEVING DISCLAIMER: NOT a recommendation. ...due diligence still applies as always pls. Regards. 1 Like 1 Share |

tritritri:Oga tritritri, I beg to disagree with you on this! Those who bought entered the bus based on merger news, insider info, believe that you should be greedy when others are fearful, some saw beyond what others sees, and for such or other reasons. She didnt pave way for anyone. Forget the forth and back discussions here. What happened to her was sheer luck. ...and for the record, she was the one taking everyone's concern wrongly and negatively cos she couldn't see it as a genuine concern from members. Shikena. Pls spare Loco on this one. Everyone was afraid of what the outcome would be when there were massive dumping, including you and her. I just think I should respond cos it wouldnt be fair on the part of members who were genuinely concerned about those in the bus but took as enemies instead. 1 Like |
