West African culture hasn't evolved to that extent....In majority of the western country, it is very common. It's not about HOLINESS, it's more about CULTURE

So Nigeria has degenerated to this level of hipocricy? Look at what religious bigots have gotten us to. Nudity was a part of our culture and life then was better. We have hidden our bodies so much that curiosity to see what is beneath is partly responsible for the high moral decadence prevalent every where. Why would I not put on a pant to the beach? There are dress codes for certain places and the bikini and swimming trunk for men is the code for the beach. Do we need to wear cassock to the beach?

This is why i hate going to Nigerian beaches. Girls will dress like they're coming for holy communion. Why can't our girls copy this one thing from whites.

I am very comfy wearing a bikini on the beach. I don't feel self conscious considering some women are topless sef. I remember when I was in St Tropez and both men and women were fully n.aked on the beach. I'm an adult and those things don't faze me.

However I probably wouldn't on a Nigerian beach. Unless its a private beach with civilised people. Lol. I have never been to a beach in Nigeria so I don't know.

I hope this post doesn't sound too haughty. undecided

You go to a Nigerian beach and see girls all decked out, like they're on skinny jeans, some fab top and heavy makeup and jewelry...like wtf? I don't bother going to those places anymore cos clearly a bikini is out of place...

The answer is obvious - u cant be comfortable in this part of the world appearing half-nake/d in public (WE cant even do that even in our homes before our children.) I dont understand why we copy oyibo so sheepishly. It would hav been a different thing where u hav segregated beaches for male and female (as in Iran).

Dum.b !

You hate going cos there are no free n@ked bodies to watch..

Why should we copy indecency and dress codes from the whites? why don't we copy good things from them..or atleast, the morals from the arab nations...

Honestly, if I see a woman on such skimpy things, Its a great turn on for bedmatics but a NO NO NO No, for marriage! Abi wetin I wan see again wen all the world don see her unclothedness, colour, shape, size and all.
