Guys please I need your help......Just this morning my phone's fingerprint(umidigi f2) stopped working.i noticed the option on settings have disappeared.......I really need help, anybody?
Did you play around with your ROM using PC? You have to be honest for a solution to come.

If you did, you gat to pay UMIDIGI to get your fingerprint back.
If you didn't, factory reset, then flash stock ROM for a test

Good evening. My 2 months old umidigi A5 pro isn't charging again even though I am using the original charger that came with it. Where can I fix this please
Buy Oriamo cable. It's ₦500.

The phone doesn't go bad so easily.

Mine stopped charging last week, after 4months. If I'm using and charging, the battery goes down. Had to get a new cable.

Though the old one can still transfer files.

If you're charging and using your phone at the same time and discover it's become very hot, drop it so you don't fry the phone.

How to flash a custom ROM on A5 pro.

1. Unlock bootloader
2. Flash TWRP
3. Flash ROM.

Requirements.

i. A PC.
ii. SP Flash tool v5.1924(latest version) (Download it).
iii. Required Drivers. ( Download it).
iv. Unlocked bootloader file. (Download it).
v. TWRP by Hadenix(Download it).
vi. MT6763 file in txt format (Download it).
vii. Disable verify file. It goes along with TWRP. (download it).
viii. Custom ROM. (Download it). I recommend Pixel experience. You can try out other ROMs if you like.

You can get all these files from the telegram channel. https ://t .me/umidigia5prochat. Just request for it.

There are to categories of ROMs
Treble ROMs and non Treble ROMs.
A5pro is a treble supported device, so you can flash Treble ROMs.

Before you flash a Treble ROM, you must flash Umidigi A5 pro treble vendor after unlocking the bootloader. Request it from the group chat.

Flashing non-Treble ROMs does not require you first flashing Treble Vendor.

The Pixel experience I talked about is the non-Treble ROM. There's is a treble ROM for it too, but I use the non-Treble Pixel Experience.

Steps to follow to flash.

1. Unlocking bootloader.
•Go to you phone settings≥ About phone, find build number and touch it 5 times to make you a developer.
•Go to settings > System > Advanced> developer's option, enable the option for OEM unlocking and USB debugging.

★Make sure you backup your apps and necessary files in your internal memory before this next step, cox your phone will be formatted.

On your PC
•Install the required drivers.
•Unzip the unlocked bootloader zip file.
•Connect your phone to the PC
•Open the unlocked bootloader file and run the batch file, your phone will reboot in fastboot mode and require you to press YES or No to unlock the bootloader.
•Press YES (Vol up).
All your data will be cleared i.e your phone will be formatted.

2. Flashing TWRP

•Put disable verify file in the root of your SD card and insert SD in your phone.
• Unzip SP Flash tool file on your PC.
•Unzip TWRP you downloaded.
Rename your TWRP img file by Hadenix to 'recovery' on your PC.
•Copy your scatter file to the folder where you have recovery img.
•Move the folder to SP Flash tool folder.
•In your SP Flash tool folder, click flash_tool to open the software.
•Under scatter loading file, look for the folder where your scatter file is and click it, and click open.
•You will see lots of green column pop up under download only.
•Tick ONLY recovery box and UNTICK the rest. (A strong warning). Don't be afraid sha, just tick only recovery box.
•Click download.
•Now connect your phone to your PC.
•Hold Vol down and power button Wait for the recovery to flash 100% it will show on your PC till you hear a disconnected sound and release your fingers.
•Disconnect the phone form the PC.
•Hold Vol up and power button, till the screen lights up, when the screen goes off release the buttons.
•Hold Vol down and power button, till the screen lights up, when the screen goes off release the buttons.
• Again, hold Vol up and power button, till the screen lights up, wait till it boots to your new recovery.

•It will ask you for password, at the bottom look for how to ignore.
•Click install.
•Look for your SD card among your list.
•Cick disable verify decrypt and flash it.

3. Flashing ROM.

★Backup your stock ROM incase you want to go back to your old ROM or your new one refused to boot, just a precaution that everyone that flashes ROM's follow
In the TWRP go to backup and slide to the right to backup.

•Put ROM in root of your SD card.
Wipe data and davilk.
Install the ROM from SD card.
And that's it.
Follow the steps carefully to prevent bootloop.

And don't be afraid to flash a ROM if you're tired of your stock ROM.

So it can be done without backing up on an external storage and I won't lose my fileshuh
I got banned for posting my number here.

Use an SD card bro. Except you want to do a dirty flash.

It is always advisable to do a clean flash to prevent complications, clear davilk cache and wipe data (will delete everything you have) before flashing.

Nope. That's exactly how it looked when I bought the phone. I'm a tech novice so I know next to nothing about flashing, stock rom and whatnot.
What do you think ?
You're in the latest version and you're using the European version of the phone.

Just reset your phone and you're good.

I'm planning to get the A5 pro,all I see is complaints upon complaints.
It's a great device. No one is forcing you to get it. You can get anyone you like. But don't get jealous when you see it later with someone and start regretting.

Personally, this is the best phone that has happened to me, I'm not thinking of buying any high end device, I'm still so comfortable after 6 months. I still think I will after 2 years.

I'm using a custom ROM, and it's more than cool.

The phone supports Treble. That means you can flash any GSI android ROM. It means I'm going to get Android 11, 12 and so on. I don't think I will get tired so easily.

When I bought, the downside was, I wasn't satisfied with front camera quality but I was surprised about the back camera performance.

The ear speaker volume was low, had to be using loudspeaker in a noisy place.

With custom ROM, the speaker is now loud enough, I no longer use loudspeaker for call in noisy places, it improved my mic quality, there's now noise cancellation.

I use nano liquid screen protector. I don't have proximity sensor issue and the phone is not ugly(screen protector make phones ugly), no visible scratches too.

Those are the cons.

In your system Manager, check if you restricted any app from using data.

Check if there's an update for your phone, then update.

Reset your phone if any of those doesn't work.

After reset and it still doesn't work, just wait for an update from Gionee, if no update comes, download your apps from Google.

Well I followed your thread and never commented. I feel like to comment now that you're in a difficult situation.

It's a sad incident, you were looking for fun, I'm sure you will get over this and it will be your last warning.

As a matured guy, don't date or have sex with any girl that has a boyfriend.
Before having sex or whatever, use a condom. It might be difficult to go out to buy because of shame, if you are ashamed, then don't have sex, you may regret later for not buying it. (Very important). Me that is ashamed of buying one and not ready to be a father yet, I've decided to follow God and allow him guide my life.

Now to the issue, despite the girl is annoying, you have to pretend as if you love her, she follow her to go do pregnancy test. I'm sure she's not pregnant and even if she is, it's definitely not you.

What can I do to solve this
If you are so interested, flash Android 10 pixel experience. Call speaker so much better, I was surprised.

If you can't, use MTK engineering to increase the call volume, it will increase only a little though.
I can't guide you on MTK engineering for now, it no longer works in my ROM, but you can read some threads back.

Can you help me do the installation? Is your phone already rooted with the rom installation? Can you tweak your phone the way you desire? Changing of fonts, etc
I can't help you because we don't live close to each other.
If you follow the instructions carefully, you will get it done.

I'm not tweaking my pixel experience ROM yet because i didn't root it. To root it, I just have to flash Magisk a zip file.

But the tweak enabled version of the ROM will be out next week, so I won't have to root, but I will still be able to tweak

The pros, you get new features, your OS is updated to Android 10, just think about everything Android 10 has.

No serious cons for now, but I think the battery drains a little more than the stock ROM, but then later it still looks as if it's the same battery life, I don't really know where to place it, I get 6h screen on time on normal usage.

Yes. After flashing TWRP. Backup your stock ROM from TWRP before flashing your custom ROM.
