Everything said there about the phone is true. I'm currently using one. I was among the first peeps that took the risk of getting it through international order without seeing any user comment on it cuz I trusted Gionee and the phone has been performing very well up to expectation. It has IR blaster which wasn't stated there.
You can get the phone, there's nothing to fear.
There's no need to ask me any further questions about the phone as the answers will all be positive.

The only thing is that you won't get a perfect case for the phone in the market.

Any suggestions on this system UI problem and the notification problem?

The system UI will stop crashing after sometime. For the notifications, only the developers can correct that, but it seems they are not interested. Using notification apps will bring double lockscreen which is not cool.

Download Dataeye you won't regret it.

It did it job well at preventing other apps but couldn't stop Android OS app.
The app's data consumption is still increasing.

Android OS system app has used most of my data when I've done absolutely nothing with it.
I've tried using data saving apps like Datally and internet security to block it from assessing my mobile data but it seems not to be working. I can't continue this way. Someone should help out.

It's because you did not keep the battery life healthy.
You charge to 100% all the time, infact you leave it on charging throughout the night.
You drain to 0% leaving the battery dead all the time.
There are some little rules you have to follow if you want to keep the battery life healthy.

When you have held it for long and succeeded in unlocking it, something like a spanner will show close to the gear.

Follow my previous instructions, it will work.

Hold it for 1 minute.
Then check if you will see system UI tuner in settings.

Take note that when you hold it, the gear will start rotating. If it's not rotating, it means you didn't touch it well. You know this phone has 2 point touch screen.

Swipe down from notification twice to see notification tiles, like WiFi, data connection, location, etc.
You will see a settings icon at the top right corner which if you touch, will take you to settings.
Hold it for 15 secs.

my kicaaa power de suprise.. all of a sudden .. it's no longer chatting fast... over 3 hrs of changing from 0% it still 12%..

for past 3days now no matter how long I charge it doesn't cross 20%..


am still using the follow come charge and also a Samsung 2a charger ..


when I got de phone newly , de tin charges very fast..

notice this problem three days ago( after the phone went down to 0% first time since I bought it, since then it doesn't charge fast

For you. If your charger head is still working well , test it with an original tecno or itel USB cable, if it charges well, then go get an original USB cable.

Hey peeps I found a way to remove the big G and the entire signal bar for those interested.

1.Swipe down from notification.
2. From your notification tile, hold the settings icon that looks like a gear wheel for up to like 15secs to activate system UI tuner.
3. Open settings and look for System UI Tuner.
4. Settings- System UI Tuner- Status bar.
Look for mobile data and disable it.
