Bro I will just advised you to prepare for the worst. This is actually my very first redmi phone, I have enjoyed everything until this deadboot thing started. Truth be told it's been a very bad experience and I honestly doubt if I can use any of redmi phones again. I bought my phone from Slot around Feb, I experienced the deadboot issue aug when I updated to 12.0.16. After updating the phone refused to come up again. I was advised to take it to the service center since it's still under warranty. Getting there the attendant told me it will use 3-5 working days if it's software problem or 14-17 working days if it's hardware related and all my data will be wiped off. While I was trying to decide on what to do, I saw someone who came with the same problem and he said this is the second time his bringing the phone back to them with the same issue. He said tho they fixed it initially but the problem reoccurred after few days. At that point I had to take my faith into my own hands by patronising phone engineers in my area.(Although it will void the warranty but I don't mind). The engineer told me am like the 13th person that has brought the phone with the same problem. He fixed it withing hrs without me loosing any of my data's. But the strong warning he gave me is never to allow the phone go off for any reasons, just like he said I have been managing the phone and it's problem ever since then with the hope of finding a lasting solution to it. Even the recent update for 12 .0.17 showed up on my phone, but the engineer advised me to ignore it Cox he can't guarantee if the phone will come up after rebooting from the update. So sad Redmi could not find a lasting solution to this problem after major complains from most of its GLOBAL versions.

The problem is from the power IC that was not made properly for the first batch of Redmi 9T and Poco M3 produced. They later discovered and started correcting it from April, I have one made in January, I hope I don't experience the issue.
Xiaomi do not have a fully reasonable working service center in Nigeria. What they did to the customers in India an Bangladesh was that they took the dead phone from them and replaced the full phone panel with a new one not having the issue for free.

I'm not sure they would do that here. The boards they have may not be enough to go round or won't want to lose profits.

I have been using Redmi Note 9s for more than a year now and I just discovered a problem.

It takes a lot of time to charge, sometimes it could take like 10hours just to charge up to 60% or not move at all, or I could be pressing the phone and charging and It won't move pass the % I started with which is not like that before, and sometimes . The charging as just been abnormal it only increases whenever it feels like.

I still use the follow come charger, infact it still fast charges(with the fast charge I still experience the same problem) and still firm doesn't shake. I don't think it's the charger head too, because I experience same thing when I use problem. I have used another chord same issue.

My guesses are it could be the charging port or the battery

What do you guys think?

Currently typing with my Umi. I have a Xiaomi too.

Xiaomi is better in software updates.

For quality assurance, they are getting to be pretty the same, looking at reported hardware failure in many Redmi 9T and Poco M3.
Umi A5 pro had touchscreen failure too.

Xiaomi is slightly better overall.

N,8s1. lf l boot on the phone, on the home screen, apps on the home screen will load itself, without me touching the screen.

The screen is fake. Ask for a refund and buy again from a reputable seller.

I've seen a lot of people with same issue, I hope mine doesn't get to that point. I even turn that stuff on @ pic.

I'd advise you try again after 3 days, after the battery has drained. Plug in the charger and try turning it on.

Thanks, I tried this too, but the problem is with WiFi usage and the WiFi restriction button for system apps is not clickable. So I can't put it off.

In Gallery settings, turn off sync with cloud.

Turn off every form of synchronisation and backups. Settings, Account and sync.

Check settings of your Google app too

please I need your help. Whenever I connect my Redmi Note 9S to a WiFi network, my Google app and Gallery app automatically starts zapping data. Right now, in less than 15mins, the Google app has used 800mb+ and the gallery app has used 220mb+.

I have tried to restrict WiFi usage but the button is greyed out for both apps so I can't put it off.

I have put off background data for both apps.

I have cleared cache and data, restarted my phone too.

They cannot be uninstalled so that's not an option not even as a last resort.

I have put off Cloud Sync and Find my device.

Wanna help. Open Security App, click Data usage, Restrict Data usage, System apps, ticks the apps you don't want to use data under their respected SIMs.

Don't do that course if you can't handle disappointments. You go write well, dey expect 'A, you've been reading from beginning of semester, doubled the intensity during exam week, you go eventually see 'F for board.

Edited: But may J suggest something for yhr two of you that may just solve this problem? It's just a guess but may it'll work. This is because I think the screen problem is more of software glitch than hardware problem. Why I think so is because none of you two reported any physical insult to the TV or any undue exposure to bad mains current. Also at different times before I have experienced instances where the "source" option refuses to come on and I won't be able to change from AV source to HDMI, home or any other source. Then I will need to reset the TV to bring things back to normal.

In one instance, I noticed one of the speakers stopped functioning and believing that it was a hardware problem, I decided to connect my earphones thru the Bluetooth and also discovered that one of the speakers of the earphones also did not work. This made me to conclude that the problem was not with the TV speakers, but probably with the software. At that time, rẹ-installing the TV solved the problem.

So here goes:

Reset your TV: On your remote, press "options". Scroll to and select "TV options". Them select re-install TV.

Your TV will re-boot within 5 to 15 seconds and hopefully this should restore all things to normal.

Please refer back to this place and let us know your feedback.

Their TVs are both suffering from hardware failure, not a software thing.

It's over 24hrs now my redmi 8 can no longer detect my Airtel SIM, I have tried switching the position like swapping the position of my 9moble and Airtel SIM but it's still not detecting, and when I tried the SIM on another phone it worked perfectly.

Your SIM is dead, u got to retrieve it. Check if it will come up in another phone.

Their network is full of shît, I couldn't use it.

At night, I also have to struggle before I can use the night plan I subscribe for.

Reboot to Safe mode and use it that way.

@bolded I am concerned about performance the A12 camera was poor. It's really gonna stress me when I work hence no point keeping it. The error is that I ordered online, if I had bought it in physical store store I would have known I can't work with such camera quality. The 9t I wasn't even pleased with it either,from the call recording voice out command, combined volume and notification setting, terrible Bluetooth connection etc,I already intended selling the 9t but felt I should manage it for 6months then dispose. Cos it's more loss for me, reselling the A12 I lost money couldn't sell at the amount I bought, added more money to get the 9t and now to sell off immediately wasn't wise either cos will loose abt 10k+ se u understand .That's why I jist kept the 9t ooo thinking at least 6months usage is something. Before e crash,honestly am worried if the phone is fixable and how long more I have to wait,my business is suffering The Samsung I love is M31 but above budget.

During updates, don't touch the phone till it's completely updated and booted.

In your case, Hold power button for 15s. If it doesn't work, wait for about 3 days for the battery to be completely discharged and try again.

Try updating to 12.0.10. it has no issues.

There is a thing called Data usage in your phone settings.
How about you check that
