Muh'd Bashir:

Hello bro, where did you see all these cluelless allegations abt Islam. At least prove your point & stop all these antagonistic comments fed to you by anti-Islam media.

Please is it anti-islam that create havoc in Nigeria, frequently behead innocent people, burn churches, and loot stores? Nigerians seem to possess eternal resilience to absorb and overcome whatever the jihadists can throw up.

Muh'd Bashir:

I'm sorry to say bro, but your comment is in error. The term Islam means submission to the will of Allah(SWT) i.e. God. This means a person who submits to the will of God is called a"MUSLIM". So, right from the first human-being created i.e. from Adam(AS) all through to Jesus(AS) & Muhammed(SAW) all submited themselves to God(As stated by God in Islam). As we can see above the first muslim was prophet Adam(AS).

Are you by this refuting the Koran verse that says that Mohammed is 1st moslem? And that before him there was no Koran?

I dare you to show me an unequivocal/ambiguos verse in the bible where he claimed divinity. The most common phrase used in the bible is "son of man".
As for ur trinity stuff, that verse in kjv, that speaks about trinity in the bible was removed from the RSV by 32 christian scholars of the highest eminence backed by 50 coperating denominations....if that verse is now removed, what's your trinity based on...check the whole bible, u wnt find the word"trinity"

A messiah and messenger of God.

"They said, the Jews (in boast)That we killed Christ, Jesus, son of Mary, the
Messenger of Allah,They did not kill him, Neither did they crucify
him, but it was made to appear so, And all those who differ therein are full of
doubts, with a no certain knowledge, with only conjectures to
follow, for a surety, they
killed him not”....

So-brit:
@logicboy, you are wrong on that statement that all religion is ethnocentric and hence human creation. Christianity is the universal religion except u want to buy into some schools of thought that christianity is not a religion but a way of life. From the mission statement of Jesus, christianity was not for the jews alone but all mankind. Guess u have lost touch with the scripture before u called it quit with religion. U may need to go back and check if that's your reason.
Well it seems u haven't read the bible much. Anyway take a look at these:
Jesus Only For Jews:
Matthew 15:22-24
"And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out
of the same coasts, and cried unto him,
saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son
of David; my daughter is grievously vexed
with a devil. But he answered her not a word.
And his disciples came and besought him,
saying, Send her away; for she crieth after
us. But he answered and said, I am not
sent but unto the lost sheep of the
house of Israel".
Matthew 10:5-6
"These twelve Jesus sent forth, and
commanded them, saying, Go not into the
way of the Gentiles, and into any city of
the Samaritans enter ye not:But go rather to
the lost sheep of the house of Israel".
Note:
1.) Jesus refuses to attend to a gentile
because he was only sent to the Children of
Israel.
2.) He warns his disciples not to preach to
gentiles.

Ignorance made you to leave. You know nothing about christianity! Jesus is God
If jesus is god, why is it so difficult to find this in the bible...take a look at these:

1. Bible Says that God is not Man
The Bible says:
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man…”
Hosea 11:9 “...For I am God, and not man...”
Jesus is called a man many times in the
Bible:
John 8:40 “…a man who has told you the
truth…”
Acts 2:22 “Jesus the Nazarene, a man
attested to you by God with miracles and
wonders and signs which God performed
through Him in your midst, just as you
yourselves know.”
Acts 17:31 “He will judge the world in
righteousness through a man whom He has
appointed”
1. Tim. 2:5 “…the man Christ Jesus.”
God is not a man, but Jesus, may the mercy
and blessings of God be upon him, was a
man, therefore, Jesus was not God.
2. The Bible Says that God Is Not a Son of
Man
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man...nor a son
of man…”
The Bible often calls Jesus “a son of man” or
“the son of man.”
Matthew 12:40 “…so will the son of man
be…”
Matthew 16:27 “For the son of man is going
to come…”
Matthew 28 “…until they see the son of man
coming in His kingdom.”
Mark 2:10 “But so that you may know that
the Son of Man has authority…”
John 5:27 “…because He is the son of man.”
In the Hebrew Scriptures, the “son of man” is
also used many times speaking of people
(Job 25:6; Psalm 80:17; 144:3; Ezekiel 2:1;
2:3; 2:6; 2:8; 3:1; 3:3; 3:4; 3:10; 3:17; 3:25).
Since God would not contradict Himself by
first saying He is not the son of a man, then
becoming a human being who was called
“the son of man”, he would not have done so.
Remember God is not the author of
confusion. Also, human beings, including
Jesus, are called “son of man” specifically to
distinguish them from God, who is not a “son
of man” according to the Bible.
3. The Bible Says that Jesus Denied He is God
Luke 18:19 Jesus spoke to a man who had
called him “good,” asking him, “Why do you
call me good? No one is good except God
alone.”

Ur comment dsnt change who Jesus is. He is Lord, He is God
His comments might not but would you disagree with the bible if it says he is not God?
Try these points:
Mark 6:10
“Why do you call me good?” answered Jesus,
“No-one is good but GOD ALONE!”
Matthew 5:17
“Do not think that I came to abolish the Law
or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish
them, but rather to fulfill them. I tell you the
truth, until Heaven and earth disappear, not
the smallest letter, not the least stroke of the
pen, will by any means disappear from the
Law until all things are accomplished.
Anyone who breaks one of the least of these
commandments and teaches others to do
the same will be called least in the Kingdom
of Heaven. But whoever keeps the
commandments and teaches others to do
the same will be called great in the Kingdom
of Heaven.”
Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’
will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only
he who does the Will of the Father who is in
Heaven. Many will say to me on the day,
‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your
name, and in your name drive out demons
and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell
them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from
me, you evildoers!”
Feel free to ask your pastor about them. I have more points for you

You understanding is poor hence your conclusion.

1-John 1:1,14, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... 14And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

2-John 20:28, "Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

3-Col. 2:9, "For in Him [Jesus] all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form."

4-Col. 1:19, "For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,"

5-Phil. 2:6-8, "...although He [Jesus] existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

6-Heb. 1:8, "But of the Son He says, “Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom."

Jesus is one person with two natures: divine and human. This is not a logical impossibility and it is something that is supported in scripture.

Jesus is God who came down from heaven to this world in form of man to sacrifice himself for the sins of the whole world. No ordinary man is pure enough to sacrifice himself.

These verses below are proofs to support Jesus acting as God

He is worshiped (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33).
He was called God (John 20:28; Heb. 1:8 )
He was called Son of God (Mark 1:1)
He is prayed to (Acts 7:59).
He is sinless (1 Pet. 2:22; Heb. 4:15).
He knows all things (John 21:17).
He gives eternal life (John 10:28).
All the fullness of deity dwells in Him (Col. 2:9).

Am so glad with your replies.
Am sure you wil agree with me that if one is considered God, it doesn't mean he is god. Som people worshiped inanimate objects, animals. Does that mean they worshiip God?
If he was, why did he deny being called Good?
1.We all know that a God is independent but jesus was dependent:
I cast out devils by the Spirit of
God…."
Mathew 12:28]
"…I with the finger of God cast out
devils…."
Luke 11:20
"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I
hear, I judge: and my judgement is just;
because I seek not my own will, but the will
of the Father which hath sent me., John 5:30
2.Nothing is greater than God yet take a look at "My Father is greater than I."John 14:28 "My Father is greater than all."John 10:29. If his father is greater than him, he definitely can't be God.
3.In ur points u gave me a verse showing that he knows everything, but in this verse am about to give you, u wil c that he wasn't All-knowing
Mark 13:32 “No one knows about that day or
hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the
son, but only the Father.”
Since Jesus, may the mercy and blessings of
God be upon him, did not know, he was not
all-knowing, and therefore, he cannot be the
God whose knowledge is all-encompassing..
4. U said according to the bible that he was called "son of God" now, let me give u verses showing son of God title is not limited to jesus(pbuh)
in Isaiah 62:8
refers to the entire house of Israel as being,
‘Sons of God’.
Romans 8:14 Paul tells us about those who
are led by the spirit:
“because those who are led by the Spirit of
God are sons of God.”
So y do av to just pick out jesus as the only son of God?
You pointed out yourself that "5-Phil. 2:6-8, "...although He [Jesus] existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-....." If he didn't regard equality with God, y do u regard him as such?..all the verses you have being quoting tells me that, he was worshiped, he was called God, he was called son of god which I av discredited that he is not the only son of God, he was worshiped doesn't mean he is worthy of worship, he was called God even when he denied bn God..
I hav so many things to say to u nw bt until u reply me, I wd know if ur understandn is competent wt my explanation or not.

It is assumed that such a person whom you claim is divine knows his purpose of coming to earth which is to die for your sins. If he knew of this y did he pray begging God to b rescued. Does God pray?
JESUS PRAYS FOR RESCUE
". . . and began to be sorrowful and very
depressed. Then saith he unto them,
‘my soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even
unto death' . . ."
"And he went a little further, and fell on
his face, and prayed, saying, "O my
Father, if it be possible, let this cup
pass from me; nevertheless, not as I
will, but as thou wilt."
(This is the quality of a good Muslim who
submits his will to the will of God).
Matthew 26: 37-39
"And being in an agony, he prayed more
earnestly;
and his sweat was, as it were, great
drops of blood falling down to the
ground. Luke 22:44
He even was sad that he was going to die "elai elai lama sabachtani" lord, lord, why has thou forsaken me....."...u need real bible study my brother

My view: many people call Jesus God but he never called himself that like many Nairalander call GEJ Retardeen, slowpoke but he never call himself that

The issue is not religion, but it is the TRUTH. As a living homosapien you ve got a duty to find out the truth. How, you may ask. Well find out where you came from, where you are now and where you are going hereafter.
Well, if you hav difficulty in finding out I can recommend a being who was here some 2000 +years ago and declared the he is the WAY, LIFE and the TRUTH . He is JESUS. Why not check it out, and hold on to the truth of your conviction.
