Are you going for grad or undergrad studies. Use google you'll get good formats. Both for the Essay and reference letters. If you work then you submit professional reference letters. Type it out and give to your boss or co- workers to retype on d company's letter head and sign on it. If you don't work then get one from your lecturers or HOD same way

In my opinion I feel mentioning that you're into business is what hurt your chances. The VO could not relate the public health degree with how it will make your business grow or expand, also you couldn't give a good reason for wanting to pursue this degree(it will give me the tools to affect my community). The Vo sees you as a potential immigrant(Notice how the VO asks if you've travelled out before and why not, also if you've got children. Just trying to establish ties) maybe if you were going for an MBA or Ms in finance or economics with the idea that it will give you the skills to run and expand your business it would make more sense to the VO. You can also leave out the business part and tell the VO that the degree will make you advance in your field and will lead to higher pay and promotions in your career path. Cheers!

Sorry for that !!! ur interview went will, u know those VO always look for one thing or the other to deny applicant thats why he asked about ur travelling experience and also ur tie to ur country is not that concrete.Re-apply again but when next u want to go please kindly add a letter from ur company stating they are aware of ur study leave, ur personal business document and if u also have ur marriage cert. pls go with it.

My wife was amazed at the number of people that seems to be denied due to lack of a good tie when she went for her interview. It is just funny on the contrary that neither her or I got any question that was directed towards a tie, even-though she mentioned that I was already a student(F1) in the same school she is attending too as a student(F1).

I have a feeling that the peculiarity of one's case or even answers to other question that are not tie-related could make the vo suspicious.

You might want to pay more attention on the background work too (e.g like filling of DS 160).

You are right, you might want to use your ED slot wisely. I also believe that since your resumption date is exactly 2 months from now, you don't want to use the ED option and even if you do now they might not grant it. Just keep checking their site, you should be able to get something soon I believe. The house might also find a solution soon.

And besides, You CAN'T get a Lagos appointment date for Early or Middle JULY anymore, they have all been taken.

So we are left with Late JULY, which is perfectly Okay by me..

The vo seems to have made up his mind since about the 11th line of your interview.
I quite agree with syahboy, the vo must have tried to link your past experience with your future goal. (Business to Public Health).

The other thing is that, you did not mention if your are going for a B.Sc or M.Sc. May be if we get more info on the interview, it will help a lot.
