eforce: If he is dead, his life would still be celebrated, he is an icon, he lived for something, he made a mark, if all youths would live like him , making marks in their respective field of work, then we would not be a developing country. If this man truly died, the nation should roll out big drums and music sets to celebrate this intelectual giant. In life and even if he dies, he will live in our minds as one of the greatest men ever. I wish it is a lie though.

They are praising him, raising his reputation to high heavens, Achebe should be celebrated abeg, dead or alive.

Chinua Achebe, one of the world’s most celebrated writers and author of the classic novel Things Fall Apart, is dead.

SaharaReporters learned that Achebe, who was the David and Mariana Fisher Professor of Literature at Brown University, died last night in a hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Professor Achebe had been sick for some time.

He was 82 years old
