As for me, I wasn’t surprised 1 but by this result. We’re ranked and we’re expected to defeat Egypt… Let’s not overrate our team until we defeat a superior team (on ranking) I.e Senegal, Algeria, marocco

Shehu is better
You must be an agent to say such nonsense. It’s people like you that elected an incompetent dullard like buhari knowing well his history of incompetence. On current form, the likes of shehu, and musa dosent deserve to be included in our 28 man squad. Look at how no one is questioning zaidu inclusion

Anyways nice one Sha....I also like Ejuke as a player, but chill his time with the eagles is almost upon us, chill for him, Moses Simon is still inform sha
Bro just advise Simon to give us a goal, assist or pre assist against a small team like sudan. Beg am abeg na sudan

You fit come see Ebuehi perform now you go scratch your head. I think a team is good when you have positions that can be filled so just as well by the sub as those who make the first 11.
The aina that played today was absolutely class. It was his best performance yet for super eagles and if he continues in such manner, no one will suggest that he should be replaced

Ejuke is one the super eagles players I love to watch....but you must give kudos to Moses Simon, going forward he and I heanacho, plus aribo behind them plus a lil effort from awoniyi were the reason kept the Egyptian on their toes....stop rubbishing his inclusion because you want to see end product...go and watch the replay of Sudan and guinea bissau....you go belleful for end product even pack some put inside take away pack dey go house....but wetin end there match...na 0-0...
Go and watch replay of Algeria /Sierra Leone, u go watch end product taya till your eyes rise like Tinubu and oshiomole own...but wetin end the match...oga na 0-0...so give kudos to Moses Simon for his pumping effort of cross into the box, whether some connect well or not....no dey do like woman nyash there
Bro, I’m sorry but when I’m analyzing my wingers, I pay attention to their end product I.e Goals, assist, pre assist or even shot on target. I will never accept abysmal end product regardless of how many players dribbled. Simon on multiple occasions beat his man today (credit due) but as usual, his end product was absolutely abysmal. He couldn’t even force 1 single shot on target despite dribbling past his marker easily.. our wingers should go and watch finidi George tape in the early 90’s and see how a winger role is defined.. the Ejuke that some people are wrongly accusing of selfishness, constituted a 2 shot on target in 20 minutes
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1: 11:01pm On Jan 11, 2022
I just checked our part to winning this tournament assuming we top our group. (Most likely).
If we win our group, we would face the 3rd place team at group B, E, F (likelyhood) malawi, zimbabwe, E Guinea, Sierra Leone or mauritania, gambia… If we past that stage, we would likely face
Ghana or Burkina Faso.. (I want Ghana)

Semi final: Senegal.. if we can defeat Senegal, now, I will commend our coaching department. I am not one of these mumu analyst that will be deceived by 1 game

Bros supernerd, you are waisting your time explaining to that 12years old mumu that sees football as dribble dribble dribble with end product hitting keeper when actually he can play a simple pass to add to goal tally preferring to a workaholic who constantly was a menace to opponent defence and also in his attempt to defend he got dribbled by the opposition attack....sir don't pour water into an empty head with big big whole space like that of a goalkeeper post net...plss sir don't explain to him again
Ejuke had 2 shots on target in the space of 20 minutes. You guys are making it sound like, there was an easy outlet to pass the ball. His team mates weren’t visibly open and Egyptian defenders were on them that’s why he didn’t pass.. I only care about End product I.e goals, assist, shot on target

Lol... Baba this match really sweet you die.

I pray we don't underestimate our next 2 opponents.

Super Eagles are usually known to start poorly then grow into the competition.

I pray this one nil victory against Egypt is as poor as it could get, meaning we are bringing the kitchen and the sink to the remaining games of the tournament.
Wait, until we qualify for the next World Cup before getting carried away. Even Rohr defeated Egypt 1-0

Iheanacho received the official man of the match. Foolish lying slowpoke

His cross led to our goal. And his crosses caused mayhem in the box almost everytime for Egypt even though he could have done better with the accuracy of the delivery.

Just give it to the man. He did great today.

And yes Ejuke was good too when he came on but he wasted a beautiful opportunity set up by Nwakali.
Please let’s not lie to ourselves. Simon dribbled his opponents east but his end product was “ABYSMAL” As a winger, your first responsibility is to learn how to adequately cross a ball and if all your crosses keep going astray, idk for you. Even the cross that led to our goal was another nonsense cross.. however, I am glad that Simon showed his capabilities of dribbling his opponents because in his past few games for SE, he couldn’t beat his marker.. average performance for me

Ekwensu pogi oku! What foolish mouth watering performance when there’s no end product to it. Most people here are absolutely clueless at analyzing football. Anyway, I can’t wait until dennis, lookman and osimehn returns

The Moses Simon of Nantes finally came to the Party

Moses Simon was the most impressive of our Wingers today. From an analytical point of view on the defensive side, we knew he would be busy helping Zaidu with curtailing Salah but some points in the game, Zaidu handled Salah on his own and Simon had even more influence on our attacking transitions through the left (Salah's wing) than we had through Chukwueze on the right (non-salah wing... trezeguet was there).

That was crazy. Moses Simon stunned all of us. All of us. He played like a man reborn and out to continue the tradition of a Moses tormenting Egyptians in in generation. grin

Moses Simon is a strong candidate for MOTM but he sits third for me behind Aribo and Iheanacho.

Ahhhh.... I never even drop full analysis and I am already waxing lyrical. Chaaaiiii... What a game. What a Victory!!!
His end product was abysmal sorry. Ejuke end product was much impressive in 20 minutes

TheSuperNerd:
Like I said pre-game...

I also hope Aribo is licenced to get forward a bit more and cause an attack overload alongside Nacho and Awo today when we are in attacking transitions and when crosses come in.

Eguavoen did exactly what I envisioned. Aribo!!!! Chaaiiii... what a player we have in that lad when he is Played close to the box.

His beautiful chest pass to Nacho was highly intelligent and totally caught the Egyptians off guard. Where did this happen? Aribo was right there causing an attack overload for us IN THE BOX alongside Awoniyi who went for Simon's Cross which fell to Aribo and which he intelligently touched only once with his chest for a pass to Nacho who finished with aplomb.

I said that Aribo will be key to us not having a problem with numbers arriving into opposition box coz he will be there complimenting the presence of threat the other forwards will create in the box.

Omo.... nothing gives more joy in-game than seeing what you have seen analytically from a distance play out right before your eyes with success.

Aribo is Gold. Preserve that lad. And let him retain the licence to bomb forward into or towards opposition box in our attacking transitions. Beautiful!!! Thank You Austin Eguavoen and Salisu Yusuf. Thank you ooooo

This is the Super Eagles we have been screaming about. Not what Rohr the Virus served us all this time.
This is only one game. Remember the same Rohr defeated Egypt 1-0

Eju-wetin!!!!! That guy was just plain selfish today and was looking for personal glory. He produced saves twice from the keeper because he was trying to go alone. Chuks wasn't great too, I suggest having Olayinka on the bench at least perhaps he would offer something else. And next time abeg, make we use Onyeka instead of Nwakali in my opinion. It seems Iwobi will be used on the flanks based on his cameo.
That’s his style of play. To me, he was more productive than Simon, chukwueze and needs to be starting

Sorry bro but Ejuke has no excuse especially for the second he could have hit a one time ball to Iwobi which would have left the Egyptian defender at sea. It was when he advanced and slightly changed his angled run that the defender could now block Iwobi's path.

Chidera has bags of ability but his decision making has to improve massively.
Coach needs to speak to ejuke about his selfishness.. iheanacho needs to work on his atrocious first touch

Moses Simon was your man of the match?
Alright, your opinion, and i respect that.

Moses's performance was not a far cry from his previous performances.
Most of the forward passes was directed to him, making him look like our star man.

In my reckoning, as far as top performances are concerned, he is not even in the first five.
Don’t mind them. Most of these people no sabi shi shi about analyzing football

Dennis would had scored possibly a world class goal. His end product is the best among all our wing forward (this season)

Ejuke that played ekuke football is the one you're praising grin

You people no kill pesin for this thread.

Ejuke had Iwobi in the middle and didnt pass and played into the side netting and you called that one threatening the keeper. huh
Ejuke end product was much better than Simon own in today’s game but he needs to look up and become less selfish.. as a winger, your first duty is to learn how to cross the ball

All the Nwakali supporters can finally allow us hear word. But they won't. They will come here to say he wasn't given much time.. Nwakali is not SE material. That guy is wack. Severely wack.

0 goal and 0 assists in over 30 games for a player plying his trade in the segunda league as a supporting striker is an eyesore.

The only reason he's in the team is because his big daddy likes him ..
He wasn’t impressive today but still could have had an assist in the last minute or pre assist if not for Ejuke selfishness

There’s no pride boss. The man dribbled past his opponents today but as usual, his end product was abysmal. He couldn’t even force their goal keeper to a save… I will give him credit for dribbling his opponents numerous times… all I need from Simon is quality end product, Goals or assist

Ndidi,
Iheanacho.
Despite all Simon dribble, he couldn’t even create a clear cut chance or force their goal keeper to a save. End product was abysmal as usual. But, I will give him credit for dribbling his man considering how difficult it has been for him to do such
