Mujtahida: 12large1 On a second thought and coming off the back of my watching Supersport program on the road to Qatar, I reckon that there's truth to your assertion that increased number of teams for Africa can lead to better performance. Because what it means is that in 2026 when we get 9 teams to represent Africa, the big boys are likely to represent us in good numbers rather than now where they have to play off each other and knock themselves out before qualifying for Qatar 2022.
But then quality of play must improve. Because if you compare the performance of the African giants who qualified for previous WCs against their European and South American peers, you'd see that we have not really lived up to expectation like finding two African teams in the semis. Notwithstanding, I agree with your position. Look at it this way. By default, European teams were allocated a higher percentage of slots at the World Cup despite not being the most populous continent. It made them win, control and saturated the entire tournament to the extent, that when Africa teams allocation increased, European teams already controlled the World Cup. How can you expect an African team to excel when, they have a low percentage of allocation, unfavorable biased referees even before kick off and elite clubs not investing into African players except for global superstars. The World Cup is just another political ridden agenda that Europe use to colonize the world. It is why, I’m not that enthusiastic about it anymore. A tournament that my own continent has 0% chance of winning and you want me to be jumping like an idiot…. MBA nu |

safarigirl: Isn't Nwakaeme 40-years old these days?
My memory of him is so far off. 40 or 50 he is Nigeria best player so far in turkey league higher than musa while dennis has been better than iwobi this season |

Oasis001: A tactically sound Coach has the Tools to succeed as Super Eagles Coach.
Maduka still gonna get picked ahead of Uzoho by any Coach as GK.
Backline..... Aina, Akpoguma, Balogun and Sanusi should always be the first Choice based on Form and Clubs' pedigree.
Middle...... Onyeka and Ndidi pivot gonna be hard to break.
Attacking Midfielders...... Chukwueze, Iwobi and Aribo.
Forward.... no other choice but Osimhen.
Musa, Simon, Onuachu, Shehu, Omeruo shouldn't ever make the List again. Instead, Awoniyi for Onuachu, Ebuehi for Shehu Lukman for Simon, Moffi for Musa, and hopefully Olise or Ejaria for Omeruo (enough of packing Defenders in the Squad). If we’re being honest and partial in selection, Orono doesn’t deserve to start. This season alone, Emmanuel dennis has been Nigeria best player at EPL but he isn’t even getting invited. In turkey league, nwakaeme has been our best player but no invite |

Mujtahida: It is not by increasing the number of African teams at the WC that will guarantee an African team doing well at the WC. It is about improving the quality of football our national teams play. Compare the quality of the Afcon for example with the Euros.
If your point is about equalization of the number of African teams to balance with that of Europe as a way of increasing the number of teams representing Africa, I'd say you have a point but to stretch that and make the argument for increased representation a guarantee for an African team excelling, is an overreach. Don’t defend the colonizers they don’t have your best interest at heart. World Cup allocation should be equalize by continent and impartial referees should officiate games. African team will excel at the World Cup on those terms |

He go come find another exact player like osimehn to partner with osimehn lol |

You want an African team to excel at the world stage, equalize the World Cup allocation, assign an unbiased referee and most likely, an African team will excel at the World Cup. Anything contrary, you will have the usual group stage, R16 or quarter final exit. Let all continents be allocated 5 spot each and the remaining two positions should be contested by a playoff draw |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1: 11:59pm On Nov 18, 2021 |
The World Cup allocation is just so biased. A continent like Africa that has 54 federations are only allocated 5 spot while Europe with 55 Federations are allocated 13 spots. Why wouldn’t Europe be winning these tournaments or doing great when by default, they were allocated many positions. Some people here will now have to effrontery to trivialize an African team that qualifies for world cup knowing how difficult their part is to attain. Can you imagine Europe being allocated only 5 positions Next, som low self esteem son of a prostitute will find a way to defend their Caucasian kings |

Daninya33: I perfectly understand the point you raised sire. Let's see what will unfold from now till December.
If Nigeria qualifies for Qatar 2022, it will be with our skin in our teeth. A continent that is providing only 5 spot in 54 countries. Anyone that qualifies among those 5 will be with their skin in their teeth. History has shown that anytime Nigeria sacks a coach in a World Cup year, it ends up in abysmal failure |

PurpleHouse: You don't know Super Eagles. Maybe you just started watching football. We are the pride of African football.
We are winners and not cry babies. We fly and dominate with beautiful football, we may not win all, but Africa loves and FEAR Nigerian football because we nor dey look face.
Right now, we are a disaster to watch.
And next year, we will be a disaster and a whooping boys to every team with this man. You must be very unfortunate and failure in life to attack me in such manner. You better respect yourself because I didn’t insult you first. Before you were born, I was watching super eagles. I do with facts and not feelings because feelings cost us in 2002, 2010. A coach should only be terminated if he fails to meet his contratual agreement. Every other thing is feeling |

As much as I no longer a rohr fan, I still believe in honoring a written document and so far, rohr has met his target. ‘Good football’ wasn’t documented on his target. Let’s wait until ANC and if he doesn’t win ANC or reaches the final, he can be relieved. I don’t want history to repeat itself |

Philosopher1979: HOW TO SACK ROHR
We can give rohr a new role in the team. We will give him the role of technical adviser, scout and general manager. That is he will just give his own opinion on how the team should play, manage the players and keep them from a mutiny and scout players for us. The coaching, training and tactics will be managed by Salisu Yusuf. Salisu Yusuf will be the real coach while Rohr will have his role. He will still collect his salary but he will not coach the team except to ask for advice. That way Rohr will not really be the coach. He will also ask as the spokesman for the team But Salisu Yusuf will coach the team and select players. They should just give him a new role and appoint a coach for him Salisu a man that was caught red handed on camera requesting for $1000 bribe. I am not God and I believe in forgiving people. But, salisu coaching Nigeria will be bad for the image of super eagles because as soon as an unknown name is invited, everyone will accuse salisu of bribe. So far, rohr has met his target and we must wait until ANC to make a decision. If he doesn’t reach the finals or win the ANC, he is likely to be terminated |

The hardwork, hunger, pace, strength etc honesty, if he stop missing easy chances and learn how to position himself, he is world class that’s if he isn’t world class already. Can you imagine having 2 osimehn as your strikers?? I want to see sadiq or moffi partnering Osi |

I.e (Egypt) for me, losing to CAR is one of the lowest point in Nigeria football history and any African unseeded team that watched that game will want to face us. This is exactly why I am skeptical of sacking rohr in a World Cup year |

532 formation should only be used when facing superior opposition like Brazil, Argentina, Germany or the absolutely best in Africa because we’re trying to make up for lack of levels and it must be done with your best selections. For now, our most creative players like chukwueze, ejuke needs to be on the pitch supporting osimehn and they cannot fit in a 352 formation |

Why are Nigerians scared of facing the best teams at the next round of WCQ. Often times, you hear statements like, “let’s avoid Algeria, Ghana” etc….. for me, I want us to face the best that Africa has to offer and prove that we have earned our qualifications and also deserve to challenge the best at the world stage. Some of you guys rather we face a weak team, qualify and embarrass ourselves at the world cup |
