Ikengawo: That speech was good to you? It's ok to support tablets without supporting anything that speaks at the tablet ceremony. These speeches have been droning and excessive. Agb was the best speaker so far, but went on for way too long and most of the speech was spent announcing the rich people in the audience (as is typical in nigerian speaking).

I find it hard to believe that there isn't a single good speaker in Nigeria. Not one. I can watch on Obama speech like a move. The critical question i need supporters of this idea to answer is;

1. Is it sustainable? And how, dont just give me numbers tell me how?
2. Whats the technical know how of the teachers in osun who will anchor this program?
3. Any support program for damaged items or stolen items.
4. How many schools in osun have functional laboratories of libraries?

I heard a confirmed fact from students who have been given to append their signature that in case of damage or stolen items, students would be responsible for replacing the stolen or damaged items from their personal purse.

Same way he distributed same uniforms to all public students and within 2 months the uniforms have turned ragged and dirty due to poor quality and lack of replacement for the uniforms in the market. I dont know how you expect students to wear just a single uniform everyday from monday to friday. We should shy away from all these propaganda and face reality. There are some basic things lacking which should be tackled.

This opon imo is just like advance calculator which is meant to substitute text book and does not browse for that matter so how does it introduce ICT knowledge to the student assuming it was laptop and desktop then we will talk about the advantage of ICT it will bring. To back my point that this opon imo is a advance calculator it can't be updated its just programme like that you can't edit anything. This disadvantage is to the advantage of text book and don't forget text book is transferable and cost less to maintain.

i think it's a great program, but the ceremony is excessive and symbolic of what i don't like about the ACN. 2 intiatives per governor and 8 years worth of loudness on the internet. If we are to develop a real opposition we can take one that has a 4 hour summit about laptops as a contender to the PDP because in the end of the day the rest of us aren't getting paid to buy the hot air you're blowing.
