That speech was good to you? It's ok to support tablets without supporting anything that speaks at the tablet ceremony. These speeches have been droning and excessive. Agb was the best speaker so far, but went on for way too long and most of the speech was spent announcing the rich people in the audience (as is typical in nigerian speaking). I find it hard to believe that there isn't a single good speaker in Nigeria. Not one. I can watch on Obama speech like a move. Even George Bush who was considered a bad speaker wasn't as bad as the best nigerian speaker. yelling into the mic, listing rich people, no organization, no structure, no ideals, just boasting. |

calculate the cost of purchasing 9 textbooks per student, the stress of borrowing books from library, the introduction opon imo, i believe will offset a lot of stress and open the ever vibrant osun student a level playing ground to compete with others in private schools and children abroad. this is innovative. The exposure of students to ICT in this age will take us Nigerians to greater heights. .........Please give Nigerian youths , Power, ICTs, Infrastructure and you will see the greatness in us.....Osun ti n Dara oooooooooo 2 Likes |

Demdem: Of course. I have always said this during the days when Beaf made it his life mission to stalk and demonise Aregbesola 24/7 here. I pointed out that this is an administrator who was commissioner of the year twice in Lagos that is the most populous and most cosmopolitan State in Nigeria. You cannot be without decent brain cells to achieve that. Always good to look at the history of administrators as that quickly tell a lot about their capability and the likelihood of them delivering. |

LOL idk what your screen shot is supposed to help you do. wait, I'm assuming the Ipon Imo is the new laptop rewarded to ACN laptop warriors?! LOOOLLLL eh he, so this is why there's a global conference about the new laptops. Anyways, this will boost the SW's thread making, screenshoting, satelite picture posting, and pension earning political activities so i'm happy that many will be fed from this program i think it's a great program, but the ceremony is excessive and symbolic of what i don't like about the ACN. 2 intiatives per governor and 8 years worth of loudness on the internet. If we are to develop a real opposition we can take one that has a 4 hour summit about laptops as a contender to the PDP because in the end of the day the rest of us aren't getting paid to buy the hot air you're blowing. Imagine. all of this for 1 initiative. I dont think America did this when they went to the moon LOL. 1 Like |

Is this not the state that imported their chief judge from lagos state. Text book gon the student don't read talkless of opon ifa or what are they calling it. To know a visionary governor mr fashola he did his own by giving text book to student who need them and later collect it when they are leaving the school which continues like that. This technique by fash to me is cost effective and sustainable he also provide e-library to schools for e-learning. Why will he draw attention to SSS student only when we know that the jss level and the primary is where attention need to be given or what will it benefit a student to forcely pass waec and can't sustain it. That is why lagos breed good student than other state. The primary school level in lagos state has good and standard background thanks to private investor. Let osun develop student in a cost effective way by using text book and building learning enhancement environment before he furnish them with this system. That will make more sense. |

Garri the 1st: there was a camera on a crane. Bush didn't used a camera on a crane to announce the Iraq war, talkless of Ipon Anambra laptops lol. I commend the program but the noise making typically drowns out any and all yoruba achievements. Next you will say Omotola is the top actress in Nollywood and Fashola the best governor in Nigeria lol. Anyways. Congrats to Osun, it's good to see the government doing it's job but every brick layer that lays a brick doesn't need a ceremony to announce it. This is why I like Chime Sullivan, no time for noise, if anyone wants to know they can go and see and until then he just stays in his office working. |
Re: Opon Imo Launched By Osun Today by ekoilee: 4:14pm On Jun 03, 2013 |
Ikengawo: Ode, Iraq war was announced in the Oval Office so no need for a crane, but the event in Osogbo was in a huge hall and you need a crane to cover the whole hall. Damn!!!! Must you ignorant and unexposed villagers open your odious mouths... Geezzzzz... |

This opon imo is just like advance calculator which is meant to substitute text book and does not browse for that matter so how does it introduce ICT knowledge to the student assuming it was laptop and desktop then we will talk about the advantage of ICT it will bring. To back my point that this opon imo is a advance calculator it can't be updated its just programme like that you can't edit anything. This disadvantage is to the advantage of text book and don't forget text book is transferable and cost less to maintain. 1 Like |

eko ilee: You can search the event on your Ipon Enugu and see that it was in Ilesa, not Osogbo. The found a huge hall in Ilesa, put a crane in there, brought their paid media, brought their 'big name supporters' (tinubu lol), and made 4 hours of noise for Ipon Nassarawa. This is Obama announcing that his killed Osama Bin Laden. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-N3dJvhgPg crane free development. 1 Like |

the guy is trying abeg, let this kids know some of this things. nobody can claim ignorance of the fact that IPADS and the kinds are the learning equipments of tomorrow as they will phase out laptops. dont know why some ppl should condemn him when he had the foresight to see into the future. as per those shouting about porn, i see no sense in wat u are saying. some of those kids already knew this things before the coming of IPADs, so i dont see the complain here.the child wey go spoild go spoil |

Opon Imo is not a calculator, it's a notebook computer and this is basic exposure to computing. Who knows how many students are going to end up developing serious interest in computers and computer technology just by having 24/7 access to this device. The notebook is transferable because it's linked to your school diploma, you exchange your school certificate with the notebook. Again, read the FAQ link posted to further educate yourself about this program. |

It's hard to say good good Agbersola, when his supporters, party and wireless connection army are degrading the program with hypocrisy and noise. 1 Like |

the only governor in the southeast that does this is that ape Orji because he has no real achievements to boast of and compensates failure with noise. Similar to the ACN. The rest, most particularly Obi and Sullivan will tell you what they've done if you ask them but no need for a global summit over laptops because nobody can honor a noise maker. It is ok. Rauf is paid to improve education and he did it, but im not going to throw a global summit every time a painter paints a wall. |
