portage: We can recall Osaze and the likes, but if we still have the same attitude towards football game, we will not win!

We have been lacking in football ever since Atlanta 2006 and world cup in 2004. The area we need help is in the technical area. If you can recall, the only time we did well was under some self acclaimed technically sound foreign coaches.

In as much as I am not advocating for a foreign coach………Keshi can still do the same job of winning, all he needs to do is shun all NFA bureaucracy and work like somebody that is hungry for a win all the time. Yeah, NFA decides the funds for football development………and it is a sad situation.
na you host those tournaments you mention above? Na so we dey know people wey no dey watch ball.

I think we need to be honest with ourselves; this team may be champions in Africa but can't cut it on the world stage. Big kudos to Keshi for getting them to play as cohesively as they have been doing but there are too many limited and pedestrian players in that team (Musa, Ogu, Ambrose, Ideye et al). The talent pool isn't as good as it used to be, thanks to the inept buffoons who have been destroying our football for years now. We aren't actually that different from our friends; the British (English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh) football teams. Our football has stagnated.

Emmysteve: i foresee a future in this team. the presence of Emenike, onazi, and moses would av see us through
you are right on point. Keshi has more job to do in fixings our attack

Musa gave out the second goal for crying out loud. I really don't understand why I'm yet to see the 'try' in Musa's effort, with every passing game. Musa tried?

I dont support Osaze coming back.....or Martins....in a country of over 160 million citizens...so there's not ONE striker that can be trained to world standard?!
Nff should look and dig deep....some talents are just waiting to shine.#localtalent

portage: Nice game all in all. Very entertaining if you ask me.
We need to overhaul the whole of NFA plus the coaching crew. The whole Ministry of sports should GO.
Stephen Okechukwu Keshi needs to update himself technically as far as football is concerned. We really appreciate his efforts over the years as a player and presently as a coach!
Football is presently more than than just kicking the ball……I think you need to kick the ball with a purpose! Things like free kick is an advantage………so as players, you need to take maximum advantage of the situation….Thus, we need to start training players to be specialists in things like spot kick, free kick etc etc. Check out Daivid Bekham, Cristian Ronaldo, Finidi George, Austin Jay Jay and the likes............

I think Anichebe would be a better option. I haven't seen Martins play for time, so I can't really say much about his current form.

Also, if we can scheme through all the football leagues in Europe, we should be able to find two or three young Nigerian players that can compliment what we've got right now.
Yeah, Anichebe would be a better option. The guy is strong and very fast.

The goalkeeping position is also up for debate. I think Eyeami should have caught that first goal. The ball wasn't hit hard and was very slow .
