emiye: Osaze shoulg not be recalled to the team, we will get it right soon without calling the old legs.

For those shouting emenike ......., he could have flopped also in this tournament, just as IK uche was a flop in AFCON. We will get it right, very very soon, the most important hurdle for the team is to qualify for 2014, world cup, Lots and lots of friendlies using a mix of players will give us a solid team at all compartment of the game , we have guaranteed players at the defence at the moment (omeruo, oboabo, efe, echiejille), the midfield and the forward are were the real work needs to be done. Eagles will soar. Mark my word. A world class team with a bunch of early twenties guys. The super eagles destiny is so bright. If we make it to the 2014 world cup, we will be the first african team to make the semi finals .

Abeg, shout it out loud. We will get their very soon. Recalling Osazee and co is like returning to ones vomit. You would throw up almost immediately. Let's be positive and keep building.

shymexx:

Why do you lot critique everything?

Who in your current team is better than him?

We all saw his work rate and how he held the attack line pretty well at the 2008 olympics in China.
I'm not saying that Anichebe is not a very good player, but to say dat he is very fast, haba! He should be recalled, being an Everton top striker is no little thing.

Jarus: We are technically out of this tournament even if we beat Spain.

If we beat Spain, best result, 3-1. We will be on 6 points, +6 goal difference. Spain will be on 6 points, +9 goal difference. Uruguay will only need to beat Tahiti 6-0.

Even with that most generous assumptions, we won't qualify.

Of course, me and you know we can't beat Spain 3-1.

So it's as good as we are out.
Thanks for being realistic here jare, meanwhile, I like that word 'technically'. We always like using calculators made for complex and realistic problems, for making permutations that are not ideal.

Even though it is sometimes difficult to believe in the contraption called Nigeria……….........However, the football sport/thing is something so difficult to shy away from as a Nigerian. I have personally watched Nigerian Eagles play ever since 1986! I may be too young/old for some people on here………….but the passion is still and forever there!
Diego Forlan, we know him already and Suarez is not a stranger to us…….The question is why is it so difficult to counter their capabilities when we play against them?

Perhaps you have'nt observed that although Musa is quick, he has no tactical intelligence? And yet he plays full 90mins (Left to me as coach, "if" I was to include musa in my team, I'd introduce him as an injection player at the end of the game *that is after he las learned to cross sensible balls*)
Or you have'nt noticed this current crop of S.E strikers are all impotent, Ujah, *Ideye*, Akpala?
Look dude, either Osaze, Martins or Uche should be called back, there should be balanced mix of experience and youth in every team, packing up a Bunch of home based youngsters who still have a lot to learn to Major competitions does not make any sense at alllll...
I.K Uche underperformed@ the AFCON competition because he was fatigued and needed to be rested, mind u he scored almost all the Goals during the qualifiers.
By the way I'd love to pair Emenike and Osaze up together

collynzo2: Every shot on target against Nigeria is now a goal, the last time we kept a clean sheet was against Kenya and there was no shot on target at all, against Namibia one shot on target for them, one goal. Enyeam should be dropped, let the rebuilding be complete! Drop Enyeama!!!
by the way I would have preferred Ejide ... That's what happens when you midfield hold the ball for to long and dictate the pace of the game see Victor Valdes for example !!!
