Women tired of men staring at their legs this summer can now deflect any unwanted attention with a pair of these hairy stockings.


The practical fashion item is proving a hit in China after an image of the garment was posted on the country’s version of Twitter.

‘Super sexy, summertime anti-pervert full-leg-of-hair stockings, essential for young girls going out,’ read an attached caption, according to Shanghai-based bloggers ChinaSMACK.

Women about to splash out on a pair of the bushy stockings may want to think again however, with the legwear receiving a mixed response from the public.

‘Damn, so disgusting!!!’ commented one user.

‘Essential for the subway?’ said another.

However one user speculated the latest fashion fad could backfire: 'This will not only prevent against perverts, it’ll definitely also result in preventing handsome guys from approaching you.

While the trend may be proving increasingly popular in China, it’s unlikely we will see the hairy stockings in UK high streets anytime in the near future.
