I broke down in tears after seeing these pictures, am from this state and from Umuahia to be precise, why a Gov will choose to fraud his ppll beats me. Please some one sld take a close look at those pictures again & u'll discover that most of them are photo tricks & some are that of some private properties probably own by TA himself. What I know is that God will liberate Abia state one day.

all4naija: Is Abia state development in the villages? I am curious to know as the images I have seen of Igbo villages seem to be better than those posted by the OP.

Abia people seem more like people who have lost hope in themselves and hence see nothing good from their land. Even when others give a false negative impression of Abia, Abians seem to agree with that.

Here are some pictures of Aba from

It beats my imagination how gullible people can be,i have not come to terms why people choose to live in denial.i read this thread, and i couldn't help laughing at some people's sycophancy.now,is Umuahia the only area that needs development in Abia?i saw seeing pics of secretariat complex, govt house under construction and a few other government buildings, how does that directly affect the masses?apart from umuahia, what has he done in igbere?Aba?obingwa?ukwa? What? I know somebody will say he has done some roads in Aba,which ones?unless patching and filling up potholes now amount to reconstruction of roads.T A knows he has failed and that he is a failed governor if not the worst performing governor in Abia state that is why he is setting up propaganda machines on all fronts to garner support but be rest assured that people are wiser now,no amount of propaganda will make black to be white.people in Abia know the truth and the truth is that the government of T A Orji has failed Abians,we are patiently waiting for him to run out his tenure.

T.A Orji is a reflection of Self Retreating. Having wasted four years and done nothing, I believe it is becoming clearer to him that he ll step out of office in 2 years time with a very bad record and a STUN CH hatred from Abians. He has thus come out to reset this hatred whereas all his effort according to Abians will always be in vain cause its coming rather late. On several occasions he has been booed by Abians for not performance.
be that as it may, I expected to see structures that re already in use- not 70% still under construction.
What have u been doing?

The issue here is that the way you people write and with the type of pictures some of you post, most people who have not been to Aba would think there are no paved roads, walkways, green zones, industrial areas, clean residential areas and trees. We rather see you guys post pictures of flooded and dirty Aba with dilapidated buildings.

Are those pictures I posted real Aba pictures?

There is more than the eye could see in this. All in these picture are in Umuahia. Can he also show us the pictures of the roads that the masses use especially in Aba, the commercial city where 80% of the people live, How about the schools that our children attend, the General hospitals, Can these fools also show us the access roads in the rural communities?

What he has put in pictures is far less than N10billion naira of the state in six year......Poster does this add up?
Those who are timid and naive talk more for fear of not being noticed. Abia state governor TA orji is one of such.
Re: Infrastructural Development In Abia State (Pictures) by Rolax: 3:37am On Jul 19, 2013
Political contractor! Political boot-licker! How much did Orji pay u to campaign for him on Nairaland? For 365days times 6years,all u can show is Copy & paste pictures.Pictures one wealthy individual can bring to reality within a period of 1 year. Good summary of his 'productive' 6 years in office indeed! I am Abian; but go to Imo state and see what is achievable in just 2 years.visit Calabar, Uyo, Lagos etc you will truly testify that it is better to use funds to develop the state than to use it to hire cheap political parrots to obtain favour from the masses. Go back and tell him that we don't need words, 3d copy & paste pictures or political businessmen anymore. Tell him the masses are no longer fools that he is used to calling them. Also remember to tell him he will always be remembered for his so called "goooood works". Tell him that Abians are happy for the scholarship and tuition-free for all education policy he is adopting. Extend our heartfelt gratitude for reconstructing all the State and federal roads in Abia; Thank him for making Aba the cleanest city in Nigeria. Thank him for judiciously exhausting his first tenure in office and asking for more. Thank him for buying-off radio and TV stations to advertise his 6 year old Dubai-tower model multi-trillion dollar State secretariat. Kudos for renovating the Federal secretariat since all the state projects have been completed. Tell him it is time to lend money to World Bank rather than dumping it since all Abians are billionaires. Tell him we'd miss him after his 8 years dividend-packed leadership. We pray to God to reward him accordingly! Iseeeee! Cha cha cha Ala-Ngwa Mmammanu! Ala- Abia kwezuonuooooo! Ndeke anyi aaaahhh....

Truth is that since you do not want to see any good, you will not see any good! Thereby, making y'all confused and just rambling on and ond on...

You go from saying he has done "nothing" in the state
(as if since he has been governor, he just sits on his hands and the state runs itself... lol).

and then if something is pointed out... you adjust your ramblings again to only this for 6 years blah blah blah"

and then they show you more, you say "these are only for government, masses don't use these buildings, hospitals etc..

and the new song now is that there is nothing for the masses.

For all of you who have not been to Abia State since Ochendo came to power... you have to shut dafuck up, okay?

same for those who are claiming to be Aba residents, just so they can hurl insults and blame the governor... to to the radio set up for you guys if you really live in Aba and want to complain.

There is no state, absolutely no state in this country that you will go to and not see lots of bad roads.

So taking pictures of bad roads in rural areas and uploading them here saying its ABA is pathetic and makes you look so desperate and I kinda feel sorry for you. lol.

Ochendo is improving the life of Abians, it cant all be done at once, he has to start from somewhere.... and if he has started in Umuahia, I see no wrong in that.
I believe ABA as a commercial city got potential... but honestly, its the private sector that can drive that and make it happen while the governor creates the good environment... and I aint buying your propaganda that he's ignored Aba.

Have I said if you have not visited or takena tour of the state you should shut it? Well, shut it, and shut it real tight.

I wonder what the team of journalists that were doing some good governance tour around the country are doing...

crackhouse: my dear i am sorry to say that you are sick. how does these benefit Abians? No roads, no school, no employment, only one hospital and market with less than 100 shops and you are here making noise. it's a pity
Re: Infrastructural Development In Abia State (Pictures) by remarkD(m): 5:11am On Jul 19, 2013
Oga Sir:

Listen to me, and listen real good. Abi read this my post to you, and read it wella wella, okay?

I see you posting xyz about Ochendo (I regret the mistake I made of writing "Ochendu" earlier... I mean, seriously? the man na eche ndu? abeg, anyways, not to digress...)

and I comment you for your relentless efforts, even when your threads have 2 posts and 5 views, you don't care, it doestn stop you from opening another thread when you find another successful achievement of T.A. Orji.

But,

1. (and this applies to all Nigerians hailing their Oga they support) Please, and I beg you seriously, only post successful and completed projects that are ready to be enjoyed/utilized by the public.

enough of this news of partnership this partnership that, PPP, QQQ, "set to be ready by" and all that jazz.... we've heard allo this for years, that is old school... this is new school...if I May borrow the words of Rachel Jeantell... we in new school... my generation, and yours too... lol.
but I hope you get my drift... ONLY completed projects do we care about.

2. Anyone can come on here and type pages and pages of stuff... with technology... propaganda flourishes on the internet... but you can also use this to your advantage.

For example, they claim he has not done anything to help the masses...
(since you claim in one of your or someone elses post, that new housing projects have been built? water schemes etc have been constructed... and all that jazz on electricity...

the only evidence that will suffice for all those saying nonsense on the internet is for you to take a video came and go to these places... and take that extra step to ensure that what you are recording, which the eyes of them haters will see... is clear and evident.

Please, I take god beg you, save us all the write-ups, cause as you can see from this thread, they don't believe you.

Let your next thread on nairaland be a video recording... okay? agreed?

I am awaiting that personally... to see that title of the thread that has the word "video" in bracket... and I will use my hard-earned money to push that thread to front page and congratulopia you.

Ekwuchaala m.

Onye nuru ya gwa nwanne ya (that is all those others saying Orji is working, video record the ish make we see am korokoro... is the next best evidence than coming there with our two legs to see...
patrikobi: Governance in Abia and who made it better

It is true that governance in Abia state has procreated a lot of challenges, consequentially, greatest if the greatest. A few like T.A has comprehended what democratic leadership is and how democracy can be ran to improve development in the wider sense.Leadership starts with nerve-racking passion that seizes you, and will commove the gradation mentality, and this phenomenal apathy varies with leader to leader.
Governor T.A has the mental resources and intellectual gradients which determines how he responds to the challenges and this has yielded much advantages and brought lot of change, either to sustain, transformation, retain growth and uphold the validity of progress Abia state over a period of time.

T.A Orji has examined the backwardness and build up rot which ensues from improper handling of issues that could obviously be traced from the inventive period when Abia state was created . He is a leader that does strive for a balance on its success and continuity, attract development in its justifiable act of genuinely democratic-polity and systematic approach forming basis of a democratic reality.it is true that is widely believed that Abia state can be said to have had a dysfunctional domain of history of downsize performance coming way back as from the time of creation of Abia state. people cast aspersion ,its is an every day norm, and it is always said that Abia leaders, governors, present and past lack transparently most reliable structures, certain operative context and diplomats hinging on knowledge in all their varieties as their ultimate resources and have fallen below the immediate goal of democratization of the electoral process which contradicts what is been expected of them by their followers.

Unlike T.A Orji, some if not all those who were before him were focused on personal interest by employing constricted and artful leadership styles and made no difference. T.A has demonstrated his administration without cynicism, and such an operative system is a necessity to achieving a critical project. He has manifested a firm reliance and his relationship-oriented manner has create the affinity amongst the people of Abia state.

T.A is a leader who is not arrogance, he is neither hostile nor dominance. he is possesses the character of a leader that does not create deep-seated antagonism between his aides and his underlings . T.A ORJI is a leader who is ever ready to endure the trashed heaped on his head, and he must not revile.

The past leaders in Abia had assumed that we do not have any dreams to be fulfilled, they lost track of the rudimentary process which was important to embark on and lead us to our destiny. Propaganda ate deep into their system, selfish interest brought down their values , and the significant of democratic leadership was not met and which made them to fail in their very tenures.

Not too long again before the fruitless tenure of Orji Uzor Kalu collapsed under the weight of repression , dictatorship and autocratic.-he turned the Abia state to a political laboratory and came up with a grandiose political transition that was described as the most non-democratically and non-profitable in of its era which produced no democracy. An administration which created the dullardity of no transformation. OUK's dual tenures were an industry whose business experience held no water in democratic terrain. Obviously he was unable to diffuse the polity in good manner.

But after his eviction from office by constitutional duration, came a man we should support his efforts ,that are spontaneously bringing the desired socio- economic development. T.A Orji made the different and with total consummation we will encourage him to observe continuity and be more clinical in avoidance of uneven disposition of democratic and political influence in order to balance energetic sense of purpose with a concern for the service of others.

I must tell you the truth, my friend. Your whole lecture series points to one direction, confusion and clueless rambling. Your pitiable grammar, you illogical connection of facts, nay, opinions and your lack of originality of thought renders your write up fictitious. Stop this useless propaganda and look at those projects critically, they do not merit even a clap in slow-motion after six years of dull leadership. Borrow a lesson from Akwa Ibom state, and then you will understand what it means to transform a place.

guys, we are not hating, we only believe nigerians deserve the best considering the wealth we have. When you talk of infrastructure development, we expect to see a large number of high quality roads, bridges, health centers in rural communities, etc. Most of the buildings shown here are government offices in umuahia, how will they elevate the quality of life of abians?
