Covert1:

See your shallow thinking -- expensive to you mean more modern and sophisticated, sry for u, that thinking (which actually is the problem across the board in ur country) is why ur airforce is stuck with expensive hardware it struggles to maintain and therefore inefficient.

All our Gripen are in the air mate, try to keep up

Covert1:

Pricing is a matter of lobbying by the various entities involved in the production of the different types Mil-35M, Mi-28NE & Ka-52 which is offered for dedicated specific roles.

The Mi-35 and Mi-28 are made by the same company - Rostvertol.

Covert1:

But to burst your bubble the Mi-35M is still considered the sturdier of all three and remains presently the work horse of Russia's Aerospace forces and other elements of it's armed forces.

Weird then, why would Russia be "aggressively phasing out" the Mi-35

Covert1:

Nigeria's military planners don't buy for the gallery but what works, easy to maintain and cost effective. That way you don't only exist on paper. Copy that..!

No, they buy what they can afford.

Nigerian Air Force MI-35m is capable of carrying 700 rounds of 23mm cannon.

It can also carry 80 rounds of rockets or 16 ATAKA ATGMs.

Very beautiful and entertaining Nigerian Air Force documentary.

It is becoming increasingly clear that we might not purchase the JF-17. No mention of the aircraft in any of the last 3 documentaries produced by the Air Force.

We have ordered and paid for 3 JF 17 aircrafts. That money is not returned. It is a contract. NAF in the next few years will have some MIGs, JF17, Super Tucanoes, extended life Alpha Jets and extended life L-35ZA

You have no right whatsoever to attack Covert1 because you have a contrary opinion to his. It seems you just learnt a new word, so why not try it out on Nairaland.

If you have a disagree with Covert1, state your reasons not to attack him.

Are you trying to say he is wrong and the MI-35m isn't the work horse of Russian Aerospace forces in Syria, despite the presence of the MI-28N and the KA-52?

Nigeria actively pursued the purchase of the T-129 ATAK Helicopter, however we found the MI-35M suits our needs more.

Cost had nothing to do with it, as the 12 MI-35m we purchased cost more than 400 million dollars.

How much does 12 MI-28N cost?

There are alot of considerations which are taken into account when buying a weapon system. For Nigeria the MI-35M provides us an insane amount of capabilities, capabilities not found in the MI-28N or T-129.

What nonsense is this? Who made you a referee

Isn't it folly to defend an error that the Mi-35m is the best Mi series helicopter? Who is talking about workhorse.

You are hopelessly idiotic.

He clearly said according to the Nigerian military, the MI-35M is the most advanced attack helicopter from Russia.

Have you seen the parameters used by the Nigerian military to come to that conclusion?

Instead you come here throwing new words your English lecturer most likely made in class.

Like i said earlier, you have no right to dispute his post if you haven't made a contrary argument yourself.

Now, run along, go do your 100 level assignment and prepare for school tomorrow.

A fool is recognized
How come at this age of your life you still engage in childish shifting of the goal post to feel alright

Now to properly show your acute stupidity I shall quote the scoundrel you are defending

Being a dedicated attack helo doesn't equate more sophistication; that is a matter of roles.
At this very moment the NAFs Mi-35Ms are the most modern and sophisticated of all Mi-series combat helicopters on the African continent.

From this we can all see that ;
1) you're the hopelessly idiotic fellow here
2) You're poor grammatically hence you're jittery when anything beyond your vocabulary is mentioned
3) you have acute inferiority complex
4) You are a godforsaken brat!

We end this education here spits

Covert1:

That's a story for your ego. Each is a great asset in it's own right albeit Nigeria's New Mi-35Ms are much more modern.

Pls refer your enquiries to the NAF which says "it is the more sophisticated of the Mi-series of Helicopter gunships".

Not only are you idiotic, you clearly have a severe lack of comprehension problem.

It is clearly stated in Covert's post. He quoted the Nigerian Air Force.

Run along to school boy, you're way outta your league here.

No, they buy what they can afford.

Guess an Air Force that can shell out over 400 million dollars on two different occasions for two state-of-the-art assets -- the Mil-35M & the A-29 Super Tucanos -- is "buying only what they can afford" still beside those they have numerous Force Multiplier assets which have cracked pilots to fly them and gets the job done from the 60's till date both home and abroad.

Meanwhile your president Ramaphosa flies commercial airlines because his plane is grounded because your Air Force can't keep it in the air, hmmm, come back to me when you can afford to do that minimum but for now run along with your myopic fantasies of Nigeria's New Mi-35M which has left you gasping for breath for days on end.

Henry many thanks! Suddenly nonentities imagine they know more than a formidable professional military organization: The NAF.

Ostensibly the "insecure appendage" whose moniker you respond to thinks he measures up. Even his spellings of what he assumes to make him be counted is wrong—he is only to be pitied not dignified with response from the accomplished gentleman that you are.

The price for the 12 Mi-28N delivered to Iraq was $1,2 billion, the 24 to Algeria over $4 billion - more than what you spent on your Mi-35 and Tucano combined.

So, yes, cost is exactly why. There is nothing wrong with that.

Some of these nonentities wake up from their miserable lives, log in to nairaland and pour out the frustration of their hopeless, empty lives here.

As soon as any person presents a contrary opinion, instead of addressing the topic of discussion, they immediately start attacking one's person.

The stupid little secondary school dropout instead of focusing on the issue goes out to level an un-provoked insult against your person.

I've told him to concentrate on his books instead of whiling away here.
