I disagree with this. DSS operates in a different realm than other security agencies. There's no way they can deploy the same way as SBS, a military unit.

SBS kitting usually depends on the area they are deployed.


DSS are like Nigeria's version of FSB and FBI. Local law enforcement, but better trained and funded.

1: 3M Comtac III peltor Two way (Protection + Communication) headset. Mount to helmet if not using helmet wear them with headbands. (600$)

2: IR Strobes for IFF or Distress or Marking positions. (You can through older MS2000 strobes towards enemy because of they are strong) (100$)

3: Counter Weights OR Battery boxes (For Powering NVGs) to balance out weight of NVG so that neck strain is reduced.

4: Use a white flashlight if you want.

. PVS-15 is roughly 12,000$.

The rifles are similarly higher grade allowing operators to lay out Uglies flat from the typical specop short range of 5 m to average combat distance of 400-600m. Sig arms 751 and SCAR Hs start at 3000 $ a pop.
Equipping just one true specops operator can easily cost upwards of 20,000$. We haven't even begun the transport,the RDVs,Recce Vehicles,ATVs, Direct Action Penetrator Choppers which are armoured for hot LZs etc,etc.

light is good? Why do all CT Units around the world do for maximum protection and hightec grear in every aspect? And for the SBS i assume a lack of founds at the Navy to equip all SBS operators to the highest quality standards they would deserve.

Sure i agree especially the SBS is in urgent need for an upgrade, and of course you wont want top put an 100$ optics on a 3000$ rifle.
