There are thousands & thousands of U.S special forces. Navy Seals have always been hollywood boys. Show us pics/faces of " Seal Team 6" please...i'll wait. African militaries are much smaller & hence their special forces. For their specialist roles, they dont seem to take operational security seriously.

And NO those U.S special forces guys are not clearly visible. Infact they all look the same. Would you be able to identify them when mingling in the street? As opposed to Africans (and others) who post selfies on Insta? Please
Seal team 6 included.

You won't hear much about Delta operators. Like their ops in Somalia.

Majority of those pictures aren't taken by the operators but the media as they operate with local forces on the ground.

You do know OP Copper hasn't yet arrested an pirates?..... They just aren't there to begin with. Unlike the Nigerian navy which has to deal with challenging security problems in Nigeria, Benin and Sao-Tome & Principe.

The Nigerian navy requires a minimum of 6 Navy ships at sea from each of the naval commands. We also need ships in Benin to cover up to Togo and maybe Ghana. There's also Sao-Tome. 9 ships have to be at sea at any given time, while replacements at the docks, so we are talking a minimum 18 ships. When we say ships in Nigeria, we refer to vessels which are 45 - 50 meters and above.
Its irrelevant if OP copper has led to any arrests or not.....Our EEZ is still the largest in Africa and our Waters are the busiest in Africa, thus effective patrolling of our Waters is a necessity!!

Thus IMO NN needs 3-4 OPVs (Of which you already have 2)of 80-90m, and around 3-5 IPVs of 45m+ IPVs....thus including NNS Thunder and NNS okpabana at any given time , around 6-7 ships patrolling your waters !! Through in a few harbour patrol boats and a refitted Aradu you have a smaller, cheeper but just as effective fleet.

When you make an ignorant comment, i'm more than obliged to educate you. World Armies page on Flickr has photos of South-African Hornets with the MRLS and Mortar system. Go check out the page. Nothing secret about that.

The South-African Commando on Instagram who wants to scale 7 of the world's highest peaks has his photos clearly splashed all over instagram. If I decide to search for South-African commandos, including your Parabats, I'm sure i'll see enough photos.

Don't pass off ignorant comments just to feel full of yourself.

Parabats aren't secretive... Those vehicles were seen for the first time very recently, 2014 I believe

I have yet to see proper pics of currently serving Recces or guys from 7 Medical Battalion

Who is this guy on Instagram?

There's no way for me to put this nicely. This has to be the most stupiid comment i've read all year, no offence.

Charity should begin naturally at home, tell you commandos to stop posting photos on Instagram. According to you, there is a law banning them from doing that, yet your "Professionals" are breaking their own laws. We don't have a problem with showing faces in Nigeria, there is no law against it. Our military high command post images showing faces.

Yes run away. You came to me as usual, now you are out of ideas. Those U.S special forces men are not clearly visible, anyone here can see that. Kindly tell us who this guy on Instagram is, so we can see for ourselves.

If there is no law banning Nigerians to post pics what made you feel obliged to comment on my post?

The "parabats" are regular SANDF paratroopers.

There's the pathfinders which are up there with the SF.

Your ignorance. I find ignorance to be very nauseating.

A bit of common sense would tell you perhaps if i could remember his name i would have shared it. His image was "regramed" to a Nigerian military page i follow. When i come across his page again, I'll share it in this thread.

Go drink some sugar water for the nausea. You jumped on my post, from previous experience you would know I make you feel undecided, now you're
complaining?

My usual response to you is go and jump. And no it would not be commonly assumed that you can't remember his name. You brought him up,
the natural assumption would be you still have an idea where to find him.

So when you do eventually find him (if ever)....I'll be patiently waiting for those pics or a link. Thanks

Nigerian Ships patrol as far as the Coast of Equitorial Guinea to Senegal. That's significantly larger than South-Africa's coast.

Nigeria currently operate, NNS Thunder, NNS Okpobana, NNS Prosperity, NNS Centenary, NNS Ologbo, NNS Nwamba, NNS Ohue and NNS Barama have also joined in. That is 8 ships for patrol duties. With NNS Unity to join the fleet, we have 9 ships. How you came by 2? There is also the Falcon eye and RMAC systems which compliment Naval patrols. Yet the Nigerian navy has consistently said the service requires more ships.

It simply goes to say our currently available ships are not sufficient for naval duties.

MRLS has been seen for years, hence i didn't mention it. I'm genuinely interested in seeing Hornet Mortar pics from before this year, again, I'll wait. Not saying there wasn't even one pic available, but it was not seen and posted publicly willy nilly.

Look how you mention that one guy, doing something clearly worth mentioning (climbing 7 peaks). Kindly tell me what to search on insta
for me to find him, I want to see all the juicy pics he posts. Yes please post your most juicy SA Special Forces pics here, thanks.

You keep deciding to jump in on my posts. So please, show us SA special forces pics.

How about a missile on the vehicle?

Easy job for those taking and making notes regarding certain units and their standards.

Actually South Africa's search and rescue area is vast from Antarctica all the way to the Northern Angolan boarder.

I believe Mr Selfie taking RSA Airborne Commando has taken permission to take this selfie. You probably think everyone in Africa is illiterate as South-Africans back home.

If i decide to search further on Instagram, I am sure going to get more photos.

Oga Henry240

The US Elite forces you posted here are not posing for selfies, they were shot by someone with military clearance to do that... If you see them close, they'd be wearing beards with eyewear and they'll look totally different when they're on the US streets.

As far as photos go, there's no formal structure on how your Ops pictures are taken and shared. Yes the level of professionalism with the Recce is far ahead from any elite unit you parade. In everyone of the pictures you post, I see individuals not soldiers. Henry240, check Kenyan, Botswana, Senegalese and even Ugandans they look like soldiers NOT Facebook boys wearing military uniform.
