ProphetUdeme: is mary also included in the trinity?

She's only included in your own perception of the trinity.

Why bless her name..

Luke1:48
For he has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed

She is dead long ago and her bones awaiting rapture

Tell that to the marines and get outta my comfort zone you flibbertigibbet.

Mr Prophet the last I checked, there was nothing like a "pentecostal thread" for anyone to "bash in into". I really am not particularly concerned about your quarrel with Damerry. As far as I am concerned both of you can as well get into an 'e-fist fight' if you want to but don't do that here.

#Damerry kindly escort your friend out and do whatever you guys love to do outside.

we still use holy water in the east, we still shake hands, the sign of peace is optional anyway.

But the use of sanitizers before and after the eucharist...that is just interesting.

Todays reading were beautiful, sorry you didn't hear a sermon.

Not that I have become perfect yet: I have not yet won, but I am still running, trying to capture the prize for which Christ Jesus captured me. I can assure you my brothers, I am far from thinking that I have already won. All I can say is that I forget the past and I strain ahead for what is still to come; I am racing for the finish, for the prize to which God calls us upwards to receive in Christ Jesus.
Phill 3:12-14.

How wonderful sometimes when I hear the choir chant the litany of saints...Sancte Paule, ora pro nobis...Sancti Fabiane et Sebastiane, orate pro nobis...Sancta Teresia, ora pro nobis...Omnes sanctae Virgines et Viduae, orate pro nobis...Sancte Augustine, ora pro nobis...Sancta Lucia, ora pro nobis....it goes on and on.

That litany usually fills me with pride, with reassurance, with hope...and a sense of belonging. In this litany is noticed; the name of St. Paul, he now has finished the race, the prize is now his own, his name in the book, never to be blotted out forever. Yet he was once like you and I, uncertain about the future, yet trusting unshakably on the grace from Divine.

Among those saints, are people who while on earth, even I in my sinful state; would have regarded as bad influence. They turned, they forgot the past, they strained ahead, and they won the victory. They await us there, in our home, a home prepared for us, a place of eternal joy.

Many have I related with here on this thread, to some I may possibly introduce myself here on earth, some i may not possibly meet, however one thing is sure, If we persevere; we will surely meet in heaven. I'll like to think that it will be great when I look at you and say "Hi I am Syncan of NL"...how happy we shall be.

Heavenly race; I no go tire, heavenly race; I no go tire, heavenly race; I no go tire....I no go tire.

Good morning brethren, a splendid day and a fruitful week ahead to all.

Mass Reading & Meditation for August 11, 2014

Meditation: Ezekiel 1:2-5, 24-28

while I was among the exiles by the river Chebar, the heavens opened. (Ezekiel 1:1)

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Don’t put God in a box”? It’s because we know that he doesn’t fit! But imagine that all your life and all your parents’ lives, the idea of a relationship with God revolved around a fixed location—not a box, exactly, but a room: the Holy of Holies in the Temple in Jerusalem.

In today’s first reading, Ezekiel and his fellow Israelites have been deported to Babylon—far away from their beloved Temple. But then, out of the blue, the glorious presence of the Lord appears to Ezekiel in a place no one expects. He shows up not in the Holy of Holies but in a pagan land!

With allegories, visions, and parables, Ezekiel carried the word of the Lord to the Jewish people in exile, constantly emphasizing the sovereignty and majesty of God. He is God, and he can appear and speak wherever he chooses. He is not limited to a building or a nation. Whether he was giving a message of judgment or consolation, God reminded his people over and over again that he is in charge.

A few hundred years later, God again broke through his people’s expectations when the Messiah came as a servant who died and rose for his people’s sins.

Even knowing all of this, it’s hard not to put limitations on the Lord. “But this is how things were when I was growing up!” or “She can’t possibly serve the Lord. Look at how chaotic her life is.” But the secret for recognizing God’s work doesn’t come by focusing on the limitations; it comes by humbly looking for his glory in whatever form it may take.

As you start your day today, try to think of two circumstances in which God might show himself in an unexpected way. Maybe you can try to find him in the quiet neighbor who always keeps to herself. Or you can look for him in a hard situation you are working through. Know that when you begin to make space for the Lord like this, you will look back one day and notice how some of those limitations and expectations have changed to reflect your ongoing experience of who he is.

“Lord, invade my world with your presence today.”

Psalm 148:1-2, 11-14; Matthew 17:22-27

Alright we have something to talk about.... And that is ....

The life and ministry of Saint John the Baptist

I did have a brief discussion with some people I incidentally or coincidentally met about the great biblical figure, though brief but quite interesting.

In my subsequent posts, I will put up some questions and bible references to kick start this discussion

NB I am not going to write thesis on his life and ministry but salient questions for discussion.

At the end, what did we learn from his life, ministry and death in connection with Jesus Christ...
