Dear sister, the weapon of prayer is the most power.

God bless you.

St. Dominic also went with prayer...and action...and words.

So did Jesus and all his Apostles.

So did the missionaries.

So will I.

I get your point. I hope you get mine.

Cheers.
I do totally my brother.......
guess I have to ask for more grace.

I believe there is more to Sacred scriptures than meets the eyes. A number of things written in it will remain mysteries until the day when all things will be revealed.

If your question is whether God can wrath such extraordinary works then my answer would have been in the affirmative because God can do all that is logically possible. If he can suspend the Earth in space then parting the Red sea would be a very small task.

On the other hand, if your question is more inclined to asking whether the events actually happened as it is stated in Sacred scriptures then my answer would be: I do not know!

The only way I can know for sure is when the Church makes an official pronouncement and defines whatever scriptural passage as an article of faith. Until then, everyone is welcomed to speculate based on their personal faith.
where have you been?

The Immaculate Conception of Mary
since December 8 this year falls on a Sunday
and in the liturgical calendar of the Church,
the Sundays of Advent of the Church, The
Sundays of Advent takes precedence over
other solemnities and feasts, the observance
of the Solemnity of the Immaculate
Conception of Mary is transferred to
December 9.
The dogma of the Immaculate Conception of
the Blessed Virgin was defined by Blessed
Pope Pius IX in 1854. He said: “The most
Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first
moment of her conception, by a singular
grace and privilege of Almighty God and by
virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, The
Saviour of the human race, preserved immune
from all stain of original sin.” Pope Benedict
XVI in his reflection on the observance of the
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception in
2011 said: “This truth of faith is contained in
the words of greeting the Archangel Gabriel
addressed to her: ‘Hail, full of grace, the Lord
is with you!’ (Lk 1:28). The expression ‘full of
grace’ indicates that marvelous work of the
love of God, who through His Only Begotten
Son incarnate who rose again, wanted to
restore to us the life and the freedom, lost by
original sin.”
By God’s grace, Mary was freed from original
sin as a way of preparing her to be the
mother of God. She received the original
grace of holy purity and the final state of the
blessed life that we also, by collaborating with
Divine Grace, hope one day to receive. The
readings in today’s liturgy narrate how God’s
plan of salvation was translated into reality
through the cooperation of Mary. In the first
reading, the liturgy recalls the figure of Eve,
the first woman in the Bible. Church Fathers
saw in Mary the new Eve that unties the knot
bound by the first woman. As Eve was created
in purity and integrity, also the new Eve was
miraculously preserved from the
contamination of original sin because she
had to give humanity the Word, who was
incarnated for our ransom. In the Second
Reading, the apostle Paul reminds all
Christians that God wants to see us holy and
blameless before Him.
The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
is a time to rejoice for the gift of god to
humanity in the person of Mary, and to
recognize the truth that each and every
human being has been created by God to
accomplish a particular mission that only she
or he can achieve.
May our Lady show us the true path to
holiness and purity of hearts. In a world filled
with selfishness, greed, and pride, Mary’s
example shines like a star in a dark night. She
is truly a star that leads us to Jesus who is the
true light of the world. May Mary conceived
without original sin pray for us who have
recourse to her.MAY GOD BLESS US ALL!

Re: A Thread For Catholics by MrAladin: 11:57am On Dec 09, 2013
PROOF OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION
A good sister asked for proof of the validity of
the immaculate conception dogma.
I briefly replied :
Evidence is simply that God dwells in the
holiest of places and if he ever came into the
womb of Mary (which he did), he must have
prepared it free from every stain of sin. Her
womb, like heaven became unstained with
even the slightest taint of original or actual
sin.
Again if Jesus were to save us from sin, he
too would not be affected by original sin. If
Mary were affected by original sin, then Christ
too would have suffered this too and would
therefore be unable to save Us since he
himself would be in this sin with us. However
if Christ would save he needed be outside this
pit of sin to draw us away from it. And Mary's
immaculate conception was a way for Christ
to be free from this sin and be in good
position to draw us from it.
Plus, he also has revealed this truth to the
Church over the years. I hope this suffices.
God bless you.

i'm i correct?

Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, the solemn dogma defined by Blessed Pope Pius IX in 1854. As Our Lady Immaculately Conceived is the patroness of the United States of America, this is a holy day of obligation in the United States.

Through the centuries the Church has become ever more aware that Mary, "full of grace" through God, was redeemed from the moment of her conception. That is what the dogma of the Immaculate Conception confesses, as Blessed Pope Pius IX proclaimed on December 8, 1854: "The most Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God and by virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Saviour of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin."

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy; hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To you we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to you we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, O most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy towards us, and after this our exile, show us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary
