teddyrain: Slimmy, just know that every denial is a blessing in disguise. I knew how I felt when I got denied last April.
See let me say the truth to you. It does not matter what you say or not say, when its time for your success dem no born any VO well to deny you.
I went to the embassy yesterday without statement of account, yet I was not asked for it.
The VO never allowed me to explain anything, to the extent that he said "why did you choose a liberal arts college" and like say I use juju he now said "forget don't worry, just go and sit down while I recall you". And on me coming back he handed me my pick up letter.
Even when I was talking he was not interested in what I was saying, like "I'm here to give you your visa but just blab, let it seem like an interview".
Immediately after I was interviewed the whole network went bad, but after my own has already been recorded for approved visas.
Till now I'm still wondering what happened because everything was smooth and exceptional. I was at the back of the large mammoth crowd but how I overtook and became the first to be interviewed and issued a visa, is still a mystery. God did it for me.

I know I did something extraordinary from what others do spiritually, I have a secret to tell of how it looked like jazz.
If anyone cares to know, contact me I will tell you for free. (For christians only)

Slimmy it is well. Your next try is final.
Thanks idazbawz. I'm planning to leave by early August with either Delta or British airways.
To all who wished me well before and after, may God reward you all according to your hearts.
Amen.
Amerinancy have you booked yet, let's travel together. I will be coming to your place on Friday. I hope no dogs? shocked

LOL
Your interview was indeed some divine miracle. I remember when I got my own I kept on wondering where the words came from. As I just stepped out of the door, my slow and confident walk increased into a brisk one...then into a jog...then a sprint...I raced all the way to where my brother parked...Despite the AC being on full blast, I was drenched in my own sweat.

If its the spirituality...If you hear my own, even me couldn't believe it was me doing all of it. Personal rehearsals usually turned into prayer sessions... Don't let me continue.

All slimmy needs to do is to soak himself in some major prayers.

michealkaz: Oti se oo, baba ti se oo, o un to bami leru baba ti se o... ..!All Glory and honour to God in the highest. Him and only Him deserves all praise. VISA was approved on thursday 17th July 2014 and i just collected my visa today and i felt i shud post this after succesful collection.

, I took a ride to the embassy in the evening around 3 pm to get a feel of the place and familiarize myself with the place, then i went and rent the nearest and cheap Hotel so i cud get early
I got to know about Famous hotel from this thread. I got their around 5:30: did checks
---//--
the interview started and numbers started popping up...
I was sitting at the middle front seats away, so i was listening and seeing approvals and denials. I was literally feeling my heart in my mouth and seriously praying my number doesn't pop up on windows dat are denying.

Here is my interview transcript :

Me: Good Morning ma

VO: Morning *looking into her computer screen*

Me: Umh... How is your day going

VO: looks up, shrugs, blushes, gave a big grin and said... It is OK... Thanks

Me: I smiled too *in my mind I said I Don get u today* (Confidence was beaming in me at this point)

Vo ; So how did you find about the sch ?

Me :though my dad was very helpful in find sch in usa, we searched online through usa sch search websites like - usanews.com, princeston.com, student-review.com """"as i was mentioning this" d VO was nodding .. I was just getting more confident

VO: So why did you choose Concord University...

Me: I did lots of research and my dad was also helpful, i found out that the sch has just added two new laboratories to their general computer labs these labs are Computer security Lab and Computer Networking Lab. Am specialising in computer Security and this new Labs will help me in good research for my specialisation..

She was just Nodding"
VO : So What did you send to apply to the sch ?
Me : i sent my high school transcript, My Weac result. My Sat and Toefl and also my dad financial statement of account.. !
VO : u send ur Waec and your sec sch trancript
Me : yes !!!
VO : Can i see it
Me : i gave it to her. ( My waec certificate ) She look for closely for originality ..!
Vo: so you took finish sch 2010 and got weac 2010 ?

Me : yes

VO: *nods* *hands back my waec and sec sch transcript ! so who is going to pay?

Me: My dad would be sponsoring me, he is a comp engr and he also has is own IT firm...
VO: Do you have his Bank account..
me : yes..
vO : can i see it
me : i gave her my dad personal and bank Company"s account statement (NB) : pls do not give them all the documents.. Remove the bank statements only and give to them.

VO: she returned and types for a few seconds* Then said... YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED!!! pick it up three days time, * hands me my i20 and the white form*

Me: Thanks with a big grin! I pack my stuffs and literally

Anyways... Umh.... Imma drop a few personal hints here...
1) Fast and Pray
2) Fast and Pray
3) Fast and Pray (7 days or more you won’t die trust me, u go chop all u want when u get to the USA… lol)
4) Be confident
Confidence is key Mehn it can't be overemphasized... U have to know what u going to the US to do, and also good reasons u choose d sch..! be emphatic and articulate with ur responses.
5) Practice.... I practiced with my mum, my brother and my mirror... Looking straight into their eyes and mine in the mirror.
6) Look for stronger points for why you choose your sch.. Strong point like what the sch have that will help your career. ...!!!!
7) Get there early *nurtures ur confidence*
*MY OPINION*
9) Thank God... And believe they have no reason to deny you... They want u to go, they need ur money, they need to fill up spaces and u already have a space with ur admission. Your visas would be issued by God's grace!!! Amen!!!

Thank to this thread that made me know every thing from A-Z... I even got to know about the hotel to rent here @famous guest house obalende where i stayed fot the night..! Am so grateful to all the admin in the thread.. I have following this thread since january and an got my visa at the first entry.. Thank you alll. Thank you NL..

I graduated 2013.

Ah, you are on track. You have no gap to fill at all. You can do without the work experience. Letting them know about your NYSC program which will not be concluded until after your resumption date is risky. The one year gap between your graduation and now can be easily explained. You've been researching on good schools in the US and also preparing for the standardized tests.

But you may also want to put a voluntary job there if you have any means to back it up.

slimmy05: House, I was delayed due to I didnt have my degree cert as its not available. I tire for uniport. Imagine since 2010 degree cert not still available. VO was like for 4years? I told him I even have an attesation from my school. He said anyone can print such even as it has university stamp and seal.

I will reschedule and go back again. It is not still ready as it take 5years for degree cert to be ready.

You know when issues like this arise, it gets you distabilized.

Was just very funny to me. I have been making contacts to get through to my registrar which I finally did and got his personal number. Would try and search for available date.

Will update y'all soon. Still got some busy schedules. kiss See the GA I've been writing my ass out for. GRE twice Ielts ;DThis VO them funny sha. I've paid for visa fee, so I will be on the lookout for available date.

Thanks y'all. Where is graviton and walspring. Stewee, thanks all

Indeed it was a delay.......For the VO to delay u becos of degree result is absurd. There are many other things the VO would have used to pass judgment before denial. I don't have mine, just statement.
Slimmy......do not be discouraged. U have advised people same so we wudnt need tell you again. Go go go, you are good to go.
All the best.
