Emmmm...... it is spelled 'HAPPY'! Since you speak in the "past tense" by using the word "has" to preceed 'cause', it is "caused" that you should write!
....and the phrase is "irreparable loss/damage"!

God, are these the type of "Graduates" that EBSU is churning out?
.....ones who cant even construct a single sentence, without grammatical summersaults!
Make them resume quickly abeg, use the time to teach your students how to write proper English ... or Vernacular sef! grin grin
OGAREMEMBERR THAT 4 DE.TEN YRS ASUU HAVE BEEN DOING DIS, NOW STUDENTS HAV BEEN IN HOUSE FOR OVER 3YRS, SO WHAT DO YOU FROM DEMpun intended.

First, Let us put this in perspective: The Government and ASUU rae negotiating but have not been able to REACH AN AGREEMENT.... in the last four months.

Now, IS ASUU THE ONE TO BE BLAMED FOR THIS?

Secondly, is ASUU not a REPRESENTATIVE OF AND NEGOTIATING ON BEHALF OF EVERYONE IN THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM (including the Lecturers and students of EBONYI state University)? Wont they benefit from a well funded educational system? Wont they benefit from proposed autonomy of Universities? Wont they benefit from improved remuneration of Tutors , improved infrastructures and kitting of University research Laboratories? Wont they..... l can go on and on!

If the answer is YES, then the action of EBSU can best be described as that of a "TURNCOATS, BACK-STABBERS AND TRAITORS"!

No one likes the strike to go on but when a "deal" is just around the corner, ...and knowing that the type of govt and leaders Nigeria has are those who are not pro-active in thinking but who only language of understanding is STRIKE ACTION, strike have become inevitable and it is same in all other sectors of the economy.

You will be shocked that once ASUU is able to achieve some of its "set demands", this same traitors (Sam Egwu and EBSU) will be the first to stand-up and demand to benefit from the deal reached!

Anyway, l am not surprised at their action and position or is it not the same 'University' where the "CLUELESS ONE" got his Ph.D from?
"Like for Like ....garnished with a nice dose of 'dem-dem'".

people at times, deserve the kind of wicked and oppressive Govt/ leaders they get! wink wink

You said they are fighting for everybody in the University so why don't they carry everybody along, they have been doing things in secrecy of late and there is evidence that they are dragging feet to resume, any serious minded university management that is serious will definitely get pissed with the manner ASUU has been handling the this matter since the meeting of the local branches.

There is reasonably no need for EBSU to run out of patience. 4 months plus is not a period to toy with. It appears that this school is ready to operate in isolation; nonethelless, the school shall still meet with their branch of ASSU "on the way to calvary".

"SOUND EDUCATION" does not start and end by a "Lecturer" standing in front of the students! KPA! KPA! KPA!

It also involves GOVERNMENT making money available to pay the Lecturers, when due! KPA! KPA! KPA!

It also involves your University Laboratories having the right and required EQUIPMENTS! KPA! KPA! KPA!

Dont forget that students also need a conducive environment to have "sound education" (Hostels, Food, Transport Security, e.t.c) KPA! KPA! KPA!
All these are the RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GOVERNMENT KPA! KPA! KPA! grin grin grin grin grin

u aren't a student?,are u? ,otherwise u
did know the meaning of frustation...

secondly, haven't you noticed that this strike has turned to a complete joke??,after taking months to reach an agreement with d fg?,whom even make concessions, they suddenly started making fresh demands again....the strike may as well go on till next year with d new developments..

and for those saying their resumption can't worked out..well many people said that during the unilorin saga...they must be biting their lips now..

u don't have the interests of your students at heart and keep them at home for 5 months or so,especially after the governments has also make concessions..and ASUU are really hypocrites ,for the revitalisation of our university system must start within ASUU if they are really keen in adressing the dross,ASUU as an organisation is probably as corrupt as the govt itself

incase u don't know, more unis are ready to jettinson ASUU and called off this stupid and faceless strike

why some people still supported ASUU,while continuing to hold all nigerians to ransom,i will never know

I don't see a success in the 'Withdrawal' because School management don't lecture, ASUU members do.

How are they doing it in Ilorin?

Good thinking. Nice to know the scales are falling from people's eyes. Every discerning observer knows that this strike is politically motivated.

They negotiate with FG in the day and fine tune strategies with APC at night.

How they doing it in Ilorin?

Though UniIllorin is a federal university, it is not a member of ASUU. They never joined the strike and normal academic activities are ongoing. Illorin opted out of ASUU after extended closure previous ASUU strike which resulted in court case outlawing ASUU in that school.

GBAM!!!!!
Exact question that has been bugging my mind. EBSU, DELSU, LASU, RSUST, etc are all state owned universities. The Visitor is the State Governor. The governor appoints the VC, and funds state Universities. What business do they have striking against FG?

read your statement again, what federal government wil all the billions of oil money cant afford, is it the poor and improvished ebonyi state that wil be able to afford it. What is even the IGR of ebonyi state. Now i know you have a logically dull mind. I was following you initially, but i hav to unfollow you now... Take it or leave 9O% of state universities are trash.
Do you how much medical diagnostic equipment cost. I have seen ebsu doctors that have never seen a CT scan. They have only seen it pictures..
