Come closer; here's a quick fix way of getting over initial shyness:

Say you walk into a room and you attract attention which you could have done without. Linger. Yes, I said linger. The very act of lingering in that spot where you feel so uncomfortable will help you get over the feelin faster. I use this one all the time myself.

That's a good tip.  I just like to walk up to someone and say hello.  It would be so hard for me to just stand there knowing people are looking at me.

But something else I think is important in a relationship: Don't judge or look down on who you like.

I usually do not refer to the comments I make to people as compliments, more like telling them the truth.  If I say something nice to you, it's not because I've seen something in you or about you that I like and I point it out.  Must give credit where credit is due.
