Room size differs. there is room of 2, 4, 6 and 8. No,students aint fed. its not a boarding school. The toilet facilities depend on d set of human beings u are paired with. I stayed in d girls hostel n we decided to lock the toilet with a key and anybody who picks up the key is known so we knw who to attack if d toilet is messed up. Yeah,at least for the first year, the hostel is the best place to stay. Transport wahala (queues at the park) and also easy accessibility to classrooms to study.

It was an agreement thingy. It wasn't for our room alone n that it worked for us doesn't mean it will work for others sha. Each room has a back verandah where cooking is done though the hostel has a general kitchen

There are several female hostels on campus and there is only one male hostel. The female hostels can't be compared to the male hostel lailai.
To answer your question, pls note that your room is not en-suite...... Toilets and bathrooms are to be shared by several room occupants..... And no kitchen ooo... You are to cook in the verandah.
And as regards the state of the toilets; though there are cleaners who clean them daily,still can't be spotlessly clean like that sha(ESP when guys use the place and leave it messed up like that).
And no wardrobe/lockers o...but you can make your own cupboard sha.
And there'll be a lotta people intruders on your privacy.
If you can cope with these, trust me, the advantages of staying in the hostel (esp in the first year) outweigh the disadvantages.

Please note:I'm a fresher as well.... Never stayed in the hostel.... Gathered the info from friends who have stayed there and some of them still do.

-How many peeps in a room
-Are there personal spaces like wardrobes for example
-Are u guys fed?
-Do you cook in the hostel (are u allowed to)?

-If u had a choice would u still stay in d hostel
