Oga Gazzuz.

Hope everything is going well.

Please a cousin of mine has a big problem with his 406 2000, ew10.

1. It's converted but has no electrical issues

2. When it was new, everything worked without issues and he wasn't experiencing the current problem.

3. Brake alarm light is on and when scanned, the error is ABS for back tyre behind driver as the culprit

4. Problem now is that, if he applies brake suddenly, the brake pedal just goes like it's a clutch and the front tyres screech.
Even if he's moving 50km/h as far as he suddenly brakes, the same happens and tyres screech.

5. If he is on speed, the same thing happens because of that he has had bad accidents now he doesn't use the car to travel out of fear.

6. The brake is more effective if he gently applies it adding more pressure gently then the brake pedal will be hard but by then he is almost hitting whatever made him brake.

7. He is using recommended dot4 original brake fluid and he has replaced the savo some time ago when the one there was making hissing sounds.

8. They have also attempted changing the brake master and ABS kit but situation has not improved.

Your expertise is needed please.

what is the scan code after scanning abs?

start by disabling abs then test driving vehicle. Remove abs socket on rear left wheel, test drive and see what happens. If it does not suddenly become too Sharp (as it was when it was faulty) check pulsar and abs wheel speed sensor on rear right.

Hello, please does anyone know which electrical part is this and why it could be diagnosed faulty by a technician?

Vehicle is Toyota Camry 2007 aka Muscle

Driver informed me vehicle just wouldn’t re-start suddenly, got it checked out and was told this part is around the steering/dash board and faulty.
Very strange to me as no previous fault indication and never had an electrical fault.

Does anyone recognize this part? I don’t even know what it’s called.

What could make it faulty? Is there any other check that can be done to verify?

Thanks

Be careful when diagnosing this problem. Theres what is called a cause and effect, what you have there is the effect, not the cause.

-Did you buy it toks or Naija Used grin
-Has the driver been driving pass flooded roads?
-Contact computerglobal for free flood damage check on https://www.nairaland.com/4030035/free-flood-damaged-vehicle-checks/18
-Did you install any new electrical accessory like Tracker, Reverse camera, DVD system etc?
-Has your rewire been rewiring fuses grin grin

If i were in your shoes, and the car has never been flooded and no electrical work was done of recent, before replacing the part i will make sure the rewire
1 Checks all fuses & relays, make sure each circuit has correct rated fuse, no wire wire fuse.
2 Checks all wiring harness to the circuit board
Replace the part
Then check alternator voltage with outload and with load(AC,Radio, full light etc)

one NL'er paid me 3times to inspect 3vehicles he selected in different parts of lagos.

If the body was good the engine/transmission was bad. if the engine/trans was ok, the body and electrical were horrible. summary it is very hard to get a good Nigerian used accord at ridiculous prices in nigeria. The Cheap ones are usually V6 and are not a good idea Nigerian used or Toks.

Stick with your accent if you cannot buy a Toks accord.

I want to buy all those small buses that carry 7 passengers and give out to a driver for commercial transport within Lagos. I need to know the possible cost at Ladipo.

What Documents do I expect from the seller and what additional registrations and possible cost should I be expecting.

Thanks alot.

Oga gazzuzz

Pls I'm considering getting a Lexus ES300 2000-2002 or Lexus ES330
Is der something I should worry about with these cars as their corolla and Camry counterparts of similar range appear more expensive generally
How do they compare to a Lexus RX300 2000 and a corolla 2009 in terms of performance, economy and maintenance? Thanks boss

maintenance light is cleared by a combination of buttons on the dashboard (Google is your friend) you are required to use the right engine oil grade if you want to use the maintenance light as a guide to oil change. (Gazz.uzz is your friend) https://www.nairaland.com/4606605/mobil1-5w30-advance-full-synthetic#69451899. Scan your vehicle to get understand why you have the check engine light and VSC lights

I prefer to apply to professionals. I'm a regular customer at our local Evoke Bodyworks service in Auckland, NZ. They provide WOF and COF repairs at affordable prices. Last time thay helped me fix my car in a few hours. I think it’s better to consult with specialists first to save time and money.
