I like opinions & suggestions being shared here by a lot of people! But I will prefer to copy the workable one which is being played out by The Anambra govt & people!. Who would have believed that Cattle for instance can be reared in large farms in Anambra state not by the fulanis but by the hard working Omanbala/ Igbo people!.We tend to believe in the past that cattle farming are exclusive right of the fulanis & that it can not even be done in Alaigbo or by Igbos but that is now changing!.I want to give you another instance, for a good number of years, Bussa in Niger State was supplying most of the fish in most Major Markets in Onitsha & beyond with many trailer loads of fish but now that monopoly have finally being broken by Anambra Huslers & Millions of money retained in Anambra economy. In the process new jobs were created in the State!.we must always remember that we have now the population & relative security that encourages any business to succeed!. We must also know that once there is population, you will
also have the Market!

Handsomegod:
. Nwanne ur suggestions re specialization of states in areas of comparative advantage is the way to go. It is a natural course of progress which has universal validity. Even here in the United States, the various states apply same principle to flourish. Michigan is the automobile planet and they have leveraged on that optimally. California is the movie and showbiz theatre. Florida is a tourist hub anyway and Texas is a sprawling oil state with massive commercial propensity characteristic of border states. Ebonyi may never catch up with Anambra and Abia in industrial and commercial strength but they will be unrivaled if they surge into mechanized farming and food processing. Enugu already has the administrative clout and can pass for another Washinton DC for the Igbo nation with enviable collection of institutions of learning. Imo state can be our silicon valley as proposed by the someone earlier and by all means should house some of our classified security facilities strictly because it is the most centrally situated part of Igboland geographically shielded by other states. The industrial and commercial potentiality of Abia and Anambra is already of global reckon. Anioma has vast expanse of land suitable for both farming and real estate. Yet,like someone already proposed,in addition to specializing,we each state can still have a bit of everything just to create a balance .I support ur view both in theory and practise.
You just spoke my mind bros, kudos.

My Onitsha no dey carry last, anyi na ata the money ebe a. All we need is the media exposure, virtually all media houses here are still Lagos-centric denying people the true picture of our great state.
If i could have the time, i would have posted pix of areas around Obosi, housing estate 3-3, 3-3 itself, Nsugbe, Nkwelle etc, these are all suburbs of this great unnoticed city of Onitsha.

Thank goodness for someone like Frankie. Onitsha is really a great city hosting the very rich of the Igbo Nation. I believe Onitsha is a combination of the rich and super rich! Shoprite will be considering another mall because they would just realize after completing this one that just one mall is not okay for a city like Onitsha! Ego igwe di n Onitsha!

Nna biko, ndi Obosi won't take that Borromeo in Onitsha thing o, it's actually in Obosi. Don't try that next time with an Obosi man.
**Edited** Even that army barracks is within Obosi biko kwa. You could use/say Onitsha metropolitan area for such and not Onitsha

Nice opinion, but there's something you people seem not to understand. This thread is Anambra thread, not Southeast thread nor Ndi Igbo thread. If what you have to say is not about the developmental strides in Anambra, please check the next door. You need to learn from Frankie, he concentrates on the happenings in Anambra, he never compares Anambra with other SE states. You all are accusing Chino of derailing this thread but I think you people are the ones derailing the thread by turning it into Southeast thread or Ndi Igbo thread. I, Frankie and Chino will make sure that doesn't happen. Every Igbo man and woman is my brother and sister, I love the unity of Southeast but I owe my first allegiance to my beloved Anambra state. E kenekwaa m unu.

Nna ikwuru ofuma and obu nna gi mulu GI...that's a good response .Igbo have grown pass clanish dick measuring.. We are here for collaboration of efforts from anioma to anambra to ikwerre and there will always be Judas amongst us and don't forget that

But the most important thing is to ensure that majority and overwhelming majority see the vision of Igbo economic empowerment that will turn us a hub

Nations are forming collaboration not collision so the best response is what you have given

What is your take on my post regarding states specialising on areas of comparative advantage
My take regarding states specializing on areas of comparative advantage. That's natural phenomenon bro, every state has an area of comparative advantage, it must not be a signed agreement. It will only hinder other states from diversifying their economies. If state A has the potential to go into XYZ, it shouldn't be denied that right just because state B is already into XYZ. Hope you got my illustration?

That is point I have been trying to make them to understand but emotions won't allow them. Thank goodness a technocrat like Obiano is already running with the ball to the key directions. Every state should move at their own PACE. We Anambrans will not tolerate anybody or state trying to draw us back. The economic realities implies that every state should look inwards.

I stay in akpaka GRA and believe me, there are equally very awesome houses nd stuff there, but am not a photographer.. I mean where will I stand and from what angle.. infact I dunno how you guys do It.

Anyway i want to use this medium to beg anambra state government to build the road there.. that place is too good to have such bad roads, I cud post some pics of the road here but its just too nasty especially in this rainy season.

Peter obi started the road construction after every landlord was made to pay 500k per plot and still he abandoned the road and left with our money. They just dug the gutters and messed up the whole place since two years ago and since then na so so suffer. Obiano came, re-flagged off the project YET no sign of constructors.

If I start telling stories of everything that has transpired all because of that road then I wont sleep this night.
Pls abeg biko.. that road is long overdue for construction, make una help me reach anybody that can help. God bless you as you do.

If landlords could afford N500,000K, they should have simply used interlocking stones to build their roads and put gutters on both sides. It will last forever, instead of waiting for the elusive government.
