Even bleacherreport knows about Kelechi? Mehn...I hope this is his breakout season. Dude is very talented. I'm no supporter of any Premiership club but this season, I'm supporting Man City cos of Iheanacho.

Take a look at this:

"It very often takes a mix of talent, confidence and an unexpected opportunity to make an impact in a top Premier League side. Iheanacho may just have it all."

Wish him the very best!

Amuzie Out For Six Month, Sampdoria Deal At Risk

By Johnny Edward:
Nigeria U-23s defender Stanley Amuzie will undergo an arthroscopic surgery this week after he suffered a knee ligament injury.
Amuzie is back in Italy with Sampdoria, but his contract with the Italian club could be cancelled as a result of the injury as his registration is yet to be completed, his agent Marshal Mbre revealed to comple tesportsnogeria.com.
“He will be out for four to six months and that has ruled him out of the African U-23 Championship which kicks off in November 2015,” Mbre added to comple tesportsnigeria.com.
“The news is devastating for me and for the player because his career has been set back by this injury which will cost about 25,000 to 30,000 euros to treat.”
Meanwhile, U-23 Eagles coach, Samson Siasia has sympathized with Amuzie who has been was one of the standout performers for the team.
Siasia who is currently in France has promised to ensure that the medical bills incurred will be offset by the Nigerian Football Federation as he was on duty with the national team when he copped the injury.

6 Reasons Why Iheanacho Is Ripe For Eagles

Kelechi Iheanacho has emerged as one of Nigeria’s most exciting players in recent times, especially with his brilliant showings in pre-season with Manchester City.
Having been officially promoted to the Premier League club’s senior squad, Iheanacho appears ready to make his senior international bow under Sunday Oliseh. Comple tesportsnigeria.com’s NURUDEEN OBALOLA is convinced the teenager is ready to win his first of (hopefully) many full caps and he gives his reasons…
IHEANACHO IS A SUPREMELY CONFIDENT YOUNG MAN
Confidence is a key ingredient in the development of every top player. And Kelechi Iheanacho has it in abundance.
The young Nigerian has shown for some time that he is not fazed by the array of star names he plays along with in the Manchester City squad. Sometimes, his confidence borders on arrogance, which is not a bad thing. Some of the best players in the world are haughty, chest-puffing athletes on the pitch and they get the job done time and again. Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eden Hazard etc have risen to the top of their profession because they have supreme confidence in their own abilities.
A case in point of Iheanacho’s confidence and a lack of fear happened in the 2014/2015 pre-season. He won a penalty in a friendly against Sporting Kansas and immediately grabbed the ball to take it himself, not minding the presence of several established senior players on the pitch. Although the ball was eventually taken off him as Aleksandr Kolarov scored the penalty, the plucky Nigerian had shown his senior colleagues he was quite comfortable in their company.
Iheanacho scored the last goal in that 4-1 win for City, not letting the penalty incident affect him.
He scored again in the next match versus Italian giants AC Milan and also offered himself for penalty duties in the match against Liverpool. He turned out to be the only City player to score as they lost the shootout 3-1.
There is no timid bone in that lad; he will blend in easily with the likes of Victor Moses, Mikel Obi, Vincent Enyeama, Ogenyi Onazi and other ‘big’ Super Eagles players. He will not be intimidated by them or the occasion.
IHEANACHO IS A PRECOCIOUS TALENT
Having been named the Most Valuable Player at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2013, big things were expected of Iheanacho. He has not disappointed since.
While breaking into the star-studded Manchester City regular XI has not happened just yet, nobody who knows anything about football is surprised.
There is so much pressure on coaches these days of instant success in football that they often prefer to buy their way out of trouble. Most clubs would rather buy big, ready-made players than promote from within.
But Iheanacho has given Manuel Pellegrini something to think about. The Nigerian lad has had two pre-seasons with City and he has excelled at both. It is a matter of time before he can no longer be ignored.
The Flying Eagles star followed up his impressive showing in the 2014/2015 pre-season with an even better 2015/2016 pre-season. He not only scored two goals, he provided quality assists and had more minutes on the pitch than many big stars.
His ability, range of passing, vision and eye for goal are well beyond anything another teenager has displayed in Europe in recent times.
Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh certainly could do with a player with such creative and finishing ability in an underperforming Super Eagles squad.
IHEANACHO WILL BRING FRESHNESS, CUTTING EDGE AND COMPETITION TO THE SQUAD
To get the Super Eagles flying again there needs to be some fresh blood in the squad, and Iheanacho is certainly one of the players to provide this.
The team’s forward line was at its best in recent times when Stephen Keshi had Emmanuel Emenike, Victor Moses and Brown Ideye forming a dynamic front three at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013.
Since that trio was broken up after the AFCON triumph, the team’s play has become dull, laboured and predictable. Besides, the three players have somehow lost their way, especially the once untouchable Emenike.
The replacements for the trio have not exactly been world beaters, and the quality and new spark Iheanacho could bring would be invaluable.
His talent too would make the ‘big’ players realise their spots are not guaranteed, making the team stronger as they all jostle to prove they are good enough.
With Iheanacho around, perhaps that sharpness that has disappeared from the Super Eagles’ play will return, as the battle for striking spots intensifies.

6 Reasons Why Iheanacho Is Ripe For Eagles

IHEANACHO CAN PLAY ANYWHERE IN ATTACK
Every team needs a versatile player who can cover for many positions, and Iheanacho gives you that.
He is comfortable as the focal point of the attack – the centre forward – the position he played for City in pre-season.
He can play off the centre forward as a No.10 with his excellent passing range and vision, and his brilliant skills, as demonstrated when he dropped deep to provide Raheem Sterling with probably the best assist of pre-season in City’s match against Roma.
He can also play either side of the centre forward as a wide forward in a front three with his decent crossing ability and dribbling skills.
Essentially, Oliseh would be getting a ‘four-man’ if he calls up Iheanacho.
That is, he would be getting four for the price of one.
IF IHEANACHO IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR CITY’S FIRST TEAM SQUAD…
Iheanacho has done enough over the past few months to convince Manuel Pellegrini he is good enough and mature enough to be a part of the City senior squad, and the boss has duly promoted the Nigerian youngster to the first team squad.
In pre-season and games for the U-21s (one of his goals versus Manchester United was nominated for City Goal of the Season) Iheanacho demonstrated that he was ready for the big time.
Pellegrini has a rich squad full of attacking players, but he has identified in Iheanacho a youngster with the talent, ability and mental toughness to mix it with the big boys.
Obviously, Iheanacho will not be starting every City match and might even struggle to make the matchday squad for Premier League and Champions League games.
But if he gets the odd minute here, or five minutes there in Capital One Cup and FA Cup games, the experience would be invaluable. He would become even more confident and he can only get better.
If he is good enough for Manchester City’s first team squad, he should be good enough for the Super Eagles.
No disrespect to the three-time African champions.
IHEANACHO IS A RISK WORTH TAKING
Of course playing Iheanacho would be seen as taking a risk in some quarters, but it would be a risk worth taking. Clemens Westerhof took a gamble when he gave a Super Eagles debut to Daniel Amokachi in 1989/1990.
Then just 17, Amokachi was tearing defences apart with Ranchers Bees of Kaduna and Westerhof spotted the potential. Amokachi went on to become a Nigeria legend, because Westerhof was not afraid to take a punt on a special talent.
The best coaches in the world identify precocious talents and are not afraid to trust them to produce on the pitch. Sir Alex, Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and others like them built their successful careers on unearthing gems and nurturing them to stardom. They then sit back and savour all the credit.
Oliseh’s stock would skyrocket if he gambles on Iheanacho and it pays off. Even if it does not pay off, the coach will have emerged as one who is not afraid to make bold choices.
Win, win situation for Oliseh.

West Bromwich Albion vs Manchester City: live

9 minutes
West Brom 0 - 1 Man City (Silva 9')
That's kind of weird. The ball falls to Yaya Toure just outside the box, and he attempts a shot at goal. It's not great and looks easily saveable but a little flick by David Silva rolls the ball just wide of wear Andreas Myhill is standing and he just... watches the ball go in the goal.

I will like to point out that as the season progresses, Nacho Will get playing time because Pellegrini plays with two strikers in his starting line up. He also rotates his squad regularly. Starting Nacho will happen regularly.

Academy demand FIFA cancel Bulbwa's Esperance deal

Bernard Bulbwa - In the heart of Esperance transfer saga.
by Samm Audu
Bernard Bulbwa’s Shuttle Sports Academy are set to ask FIFA to cancel the player’s contract following the non-payment of a transfer fee of $180,000 for the Nigeria U20 forward.
Shuttle Sports Academy are yet to receive the transfer fee agreed for Bulbwa transfer to Tunisia even after the academy directed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to release the player’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
AfricanFootball.com specially gathered that several weeks after Esperance claimed they have transferred the cash to the Academy’s account, they are yet to receive the money.
“It is a very bad piece of business for the academy because Esperance have not been honest in their dealings with them in respect of the transfer of Bernard,” a source told AfricanFootball.com
“The way it is even going, they may even lose the player for nothing unless they act fast and decisively.”
Nigeria premier league club Dolphins have only received half of the transfer fee on striker Emem Eduok from Esperance.
Enyimba pulled the plug on Kingsley Sokari’s move to Esperance after the Tunisian club failed to pay $400,000 agreed for the midfielder’s transfer.
Bulbwa, on the other hand, has settled down quickly in Tunis and Esperance were able to even register him for this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.

Sokari: How My Esperance Move Collapsed

By Sab Osuji:
Enyimba of Aba and U-23 Eagles midfielder, Kingsley Sokari, has exclusively informed Comple tesportsnigeria.com how his protracted deal with Tunisian side, Esperance, crashed.
“I’m no longer going to play for Esperance, the deal has collapsed and as we speak, I’m in Aba ready to continue from where I left off,” Sokari informed Comple tesportsnigeria.com.
Sokari, a former Flying Eagles star, arrived in Nigeria Tuesday and headed for the People’s Elephant base in the commercial city of Aba ahead of Sunday’s match day 22 clash with Lobi Stars.
He revealed that failure on the part of the Tunisian side to meet the asking price of Enyimba was reason the deal collapsed.
“What really happened was that they did not reach understanding with Enyimba as regards transfer fee," he explained.
“Yes, so many amounts had been quoted in the media in the past but I don’t think any of them was either here or there.
“So, when they didn’t agree terms with my club, I had to come back."

Iheanacho Still Part of My Plan –Siasia

By Augustine Akhilomen / Lagos
Under-23 Coach, Samson Siasia, says he had not lost hope of having Kelechi Iheanacho in his squad for the All Africa Games slated for September in Congo Brazaville.
Siasia , however, said that Iheanacho would not be guaranteed automatic shirt ahead of the forthcoming All Africa Games and Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal in November.
“Kelechi has been in our programme and in our plans but he has always been involved with his club,” Siasia said.
“We already have overseas based players in our team and if anybody wants to try out they are free to come and if he (Iheanacho) is available he will come,” Siasia added.
“If he comes he won’t be guaranteed a place in the team because everybody that comes in will have to fight for a place and he will not be an exception,” Siasia said.

Manu tips Ifeanyi Matthew to shine in Eagles

by Samm Audu
Coach Manu Garba has tipped El Kanemi Warriors midfielder Ifeanyi Matthew to take his chance with the Super Eagles.
Flying Eagles midfielder Matthew has been named on a 23-man squad of players from the domestic league ahead of next month’s AFCON qualifier in Tanzania.
Manu said the player could well bring the creativity that has been lacking in the Eagles midfield for a long time now.
“The Eagles handlers were spot-on in inviting Ifeanyi Matthew because he is a very creative player whose wide-range vision and long balls will remind you of Sunday Oliseh in his playing days,” he said.
“I was even a bit surprised that the U23s have not considered the player even though they very much know what he is capable of.
“God’s willing he will prove himself in the Super Eagles now.”
Manu added: “The good thing too is that he will now work with a coach (Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf) who knows him even before he played for the Golden Eaglets.
“It was even Salisu who gave him his breakthrough in the premier league with El Kanemi and so he will know how best to use the boy.”
Matthew featured at the 2013 African U17 Championship in Morocco and also played at the 2015 African Youth Championship in Senegal, which Nigeria won with the versatile midfielder scoring three goals and providing several assists to Taiwo Awoniyi.
A serious foot injury he suffered in an opening game against Brazil ended his campaign at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Will Esperance fork out $2.5 million on Junior Ajayi?

by Samm Audu
Tunisian club Esperance have promised to fork out a whooping $2.5 million to sign Nigeria U23 star striker Junior Ajayi, AfricanFootball.com has exclusively gathered.
Esperance see Ajayi as a direct replacement for long-term target Taiwo Awoniyi, who is headed for Liverpool in the EPL.
The Tunisian giants are proposing a three-year contract for the highly-rated striker, who is on loan to Shooting Stars from 36 Lion of Lagos.
However, it is left to be seen if they will eventually stomp up the cash as they have thus far breached on agreements concerning three Nigerian clubs – Dolphins (Emem Eduok), Shuttle Sports Academy (Bernard Bulbwa) and Enyimba (Kingsley Sokari).
Shuttle Sports Academy are now set to ask FIFA to cancel Bulbwa’s contract with Esperance as they are yet to be paid his transfer fee, while Enyimba pulled the plug on Sokari’s move to the club after they failed to pay them $400,000 as the midfielder’s transfer fee.
As first reported by AfricanFootball.com, Junior Ajayi is in Tunis along with owner of 36 Lion, Gaffar Liameed.
They are in Tunisia just days after Esperance controversial vice-president and former Tunisia international Ziad Tlemcani quit his post for “personal reasons”.

Thank you. They said the main reason why Kinsley Sokari's deal did not see the light of the day was because they had too much foreign players in their team. One could begin to ask whether Junior Ajayi is a Tunis? These people are 419ners and I did love to councel whoever wants to transact with them should just consider other alternatives before he/she gets caught unaware. They made a lot of millions Dollars on Julius Agahoa's deal in those days, so maybe they want to do same on most promising Nigerian younsters. They are fond of doing that you know. They just get these promising stars from very desperate and money hungry agents and when you get matured and up your game, they sell you to bigger Clubs in Europe and their bank accounts keep swelling.

They just get these promising stars from very desperate and money hungry agents and when you get matured and up your game, they sell you to bigger Clubs in Europe and their bank accounts keep swelling.
you are right man
you made me remember julius aghahowa case with the same club

Michael Olaitan declared fit for ADO Den Haag clash

Coach Schreuder thinks the former Flying Eagles star could get some minutes on the pitch when they host Den Haag at the De Grolsch Veste stadium
Michael Olaitan has been passed fit by FC Twente coach, Alfred Schreuder, to face ADO Den Haagon Saturday.
Olaitan, who joined the Dutch club on loan from Greek side Olympiakos in the summer, missed his side’s Eredivisie opener against Groningen which ended in a 1-1 draw.
And Schreuder thinks the former Flying Eagles star could get some minutes on the pitch when they host Den Haag at the De Grolsch Veste stadium.
“With Michael we have a good option in front and he is fit,” Schreuder told the club’s official website
“Michael has trained in Greece with Olympiakos and large parts of experienced preparation. He can get some minutes against ADO,” he added.
The 22-year-old , who once starred for Mighty Jets of Jos, was on loan at Ergotelis, where he featured 12 times and scored once last season.

I wonder if Junior Ajayi's agent and manager areto blame for this failed transfer. The valuation of $2.5million was too much. I wish the young man and his family the best.

Nigeria’s Nwakali ready to face Ronaldo
•Speaks on Nigeria’s failure in New Zealand

FIFA U-17 World Cup champion, Chidiebere Nwakali has said that Coach Manu Garba cannot justify his relegation of the foreign-based professionals to the bench at the last FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, reports JOHN EGBOKHAN
You have been vacating in Nigeria for a while now. How has it been?

Chidiebere Nwakali
It has been a pleasurable vacation in Nigeria. I have been having a wonderful time with members of my family and friends. Home is home, so it is always sweet to be at home and relieve good memories with those who we love. Owerri is my home and I enjoy being in the serene and peaceful city to share wonderful times with my people.
How was growing up like for you?
Growing up was fun. I grew up partly in Owerri and partly in Lagos. The journey started from Owerri before going to Lagos. I Played for most of the academies in Owerri. I started from Jaru to Taye, to Amuneke academy in Lagos and fro there I joined the Golden Eaglets. I was in the team when they played the qualifiers for the U-17 Nations Cup. I did not miss one match.
In essence, you are using this vacation to forget about the painful experience at the last FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, where the Flying Eagles, which you were part of failed to fly beyond the second half, after losing 1-0 to Germany?
(Laughs) Well, what can I say? We all went to that tournament hoping to win the trophy. We wanted to do our best to make Nigerians proud but unfortunately, we found ourselves in a bad ending. It was beyond us and we have accepted our fate and moved on.
What happened to you guys in New Zealand still remains a mystery because going into the World Cup, people expected an improved performance from you guys, given that most of the players were amongst the Golden Eaglets squad that won the FIFA U-17 World Cup less than two years back in the United Arab Emirates? It is like the World Cup didn’t even start for you guys?
No, no, no, it started for me. I don’t even know what to say on this but I think the coaches, led by Manu Garba and the management can provide a better answer to why we failed. They made the decisions that led to what happened in New Zealand. We, the players wanted to do our best to defend the pride of the country. But we had our limits.
So being benched contributed to our ouster?
Of course. That was why I said “put us and we will do our work”. Being on the bench cannot make me to do my work. I can only watch and do nothing from the bench.
And for the other World Cup champions, their condition was similar to yours?
Yes, most of us comprising Kelechi Iheanacho, Success Isaac, Solomon Badure, Chidera Ezeh. All the professional players sat on the bench. It was a very unfortunate World Cup. It left me speechless
Did you guys have issues with Coach Garba?
Not al all. That was why I said they will be in a better position to answer the question.
But we heard from sources that the professionals in the teams acted too big for Garba and showed up when it pleased them?
No, no, no. If he says that, then it is unfortunate and untrue because as for me, I came to camp earlier than every other person. I was in the camp right from Nigeria to Germany and New Zealand and I do not know what other sacrifice I could have given the coaches besides that. I was committed to the Nigerian cause but was shocked with the way I was treated.
We heard that you guys were benched because the new players were better than you during the camping and that they were not swollen-headed like you and the other professionals?
I have no response to that question but I know that anybody that is better than somebody and is on the pitch should be able to do the work better than those on the bench. Those who played should have done better for the country but that was not the case. The result could not justify the action.
What lessons can we learn from the misfortune that befell the Flying Eagles in New Zealand 2015?
The only lesson that I think we as players and coaches can learn from the World Cup is to do the right thing that will help the cause of the country. That is the only thing I can say.
Turning to the current Golden Eaglets squad who would be in action later this year at the FIFA U-17 World in Chile, your younger brother is the captain and it is natural that you would be praying for his success so that your clan can have two U-17 World Cup champions in a row?
I am praying for them to be champions in Chile 2015 because I was a champion in 2013 and I knew the type of royal treatment I got after that feat. I wanted to be a champion in New Zealand 2015 but that was taken away.

Nigeria’s Nwakali ready to face Ronaldo

You came through the U-17 rank and now your younger brother walking the same pathway, which makes it look like your family is a football home?
Yes, you are right on that. We are a football family. My father was a footballer during his time. He played to a certain appreciable level and did well even though, football was not as lucrative in their time as it is now. We are products of his seeds and it is only just natural that we are playing football. My elder brother also plays the game but my younger brother and I seem to be the shinning lights in terms of football. I believe it is gift my father transferred to his sons.
So he freely allows you guys to play football, without the usual don’t play football attitude of fathers to their children?
He does. He encourages us and that is why three of us are playing football, with no problems.
What is your next ambition as far as national team football is concerned? Are you thinking of playing for the Dream Team at Rio Olympics in 2016 if they qualify?
As I am about to return to Europe to make a debut for my new team Malaga and from there, I am hoping to get a call-up to play for the Super Eagles. If I am called by Coach Samson Siasia to come play for the Dream Team, I would honour the invitation.
Eagles next match in the race to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon is against Tanzania, who seem like minnows but can’t be underrated just like that because of the tricky nature of football. How should the Eagles approach the match?
It is going to be a game to watch because it will be Coach Oliseh’s first game as Eagles coach. Younger players will be watching that game because it will serve as an inspiration to them and that is why Eagles must win so that that positive feeling can flow into the other national teams.
With your new status as a Malaga player, Nigerians would soon start seeing you square up against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi of Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively. How are you warming up for this classic encounter with these world stars?
It will be a very great experience to play against Ronaldo because I have played against Messi, who is so fast and a kind of player who every player dreams to play against. I don’t know what to expect from Ronaldo until I face him but I guess it would be interesting and exciting. But I can’t say much until I battle him. Nothing is impossible and I might end up on the winning side.
And what do you make of the improvements in the Nigerian league and do you feel it is a good motivation for players to think of playing their professional game in the country, rather than going abroad to play for some obscure teams in some unknown countries?
I am very impressed with the standard of the league. If it is so good, there would not be any reason for most of us going abroad to play. We want our league to be in a very good shape so that when we retire from abroad, we would return to Nigeria to play in the league for few seasons before finally bowing out.

See who inspires Arsenal's Midfielder Iwobi

By Biyi Akangbe
The Nigerian-born attacking midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has revealed his inspiration as Hector Bellerin, an Arsenal player once loaned out to Watford.
Iwobi, who is looking to follow the path of his famous legendary uncle, JJ Okocha, expressed his desire to force his way into the Arsenal first team.
The 19-year-old, who made a huge impression at the pre-season matches for Arsenal, scoring two goals in three appearances, stated why Bellerin is an inspiration for him.
“Hector (Bellerin) went out on loan at Watford, did well there and then he took his chance against Borussia Dortmund. The rest is history, he’s been doing his job really well and he’s a real inspiration for me,” Alex Iwobi told Arsenal.com .
Iwobi, captain of the Arsenal U21 team, scored 11 goals for the team across competitions last season. He recognised that breaking into the first team will not be a piece of cake, but hopes to be involved in the Capital One Cup competition for the first team.
“I would like to hopefully play a few games here and there, hopefully be involved in the Capital One Cup, so its just about trying to get into the first team”.In February Iwobi was invited to the Nigerian U23 squad by Samson Siasia, head coach of the team, but he could not make it to the senior team as the Nigeria Football Federation awaits his decision to play for Nigeria or England.
He was capped for England U16 and U17 national teams.

Moses Simon: Why Liverpool and Spurs are eyeing the Nigerian Ronaldo

20-year old Moses Simon is one of Nigeria’s brightest prospects and is expected to become an integral member of the Super Eagles sooner rather than later. He has already won his first cap, in a 0-1 loss to Uganda in Uyo last March and is expected to feature regularly in Sunday Oliseh’s plans.

Quick Facts
Name: Moses Ajala Simon
Age: 20
Height: 1.68m
Position: Right & Left forward/Second striker
Club: KAA Gent

Blessed with bursting speed, good close control and a perfect first touch, Simon looks the real deal. Still only 20, the youngster keeps proving why he is so highly rated and was instrumental in Gent winning their first ever Belgian Jupiler league title last season. Considering he only joined the club from Trencin of Slovakia last January, the youngster has sure made an impression.
Key Strengths
Simon is called ‘The Nigerian Ronaldo’,in reference to his similar playing style to that of the Real Madrid and Portuguese superstar. He’s quick off the mark, packs a powerful shot and despite being a natural right-footer, he is extremely comfortable with the ball on his left.
Also, despite not being pure center forward, he is however a consistent goal scorer, as he averages 0.4 goals per game.
Being able to play in a variety of attacking positions means he gives several attacking options to his teams. He once said in an interview about his versatility that“I’m not fussy about where I play, I’ll just do the best I can in any position.”
Stats
Besides being a tricky player to face, Simon offers much more than trickery to his teams, as his stats have proven. In 60 games, the 20-year old has scored 24 times, and assisted 14 times. To even make it more impressive, he scored six goals in nine games for Gent last season, an average of two goals per game. He also had four assists during that spell.
Interested Clubs
Simon’s first foray to Europe was with Ajax Amsterdam of Holland, but he didn’t sign a professional contract with them despite scoring two goals in two pre-season games. That notwithstanding, he has constantly been linked with moves away from Belgium.
He has recently been linked with English clubs, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as Turkish giants, Fenerbahce.
Quote
“I can’t thank God enough for the type of year I’ve had regarding my career. I was over the moon to make my debut (for Nigeria). Hopefully there are better things to come. It’s been a great start for me in Belgium and to get selected for the games was massive,”he told sl10.ng in March, 2015.
