FACTS ABOUT MUHAMMADU BUHARI.

COMPARE AND CONTRAST

In 1984 when Buhari was the head of state, the price of fuel was 20 kobo and he did not increase the price till the end of his administration. In 1984 when Buhari was the head of state, the Naira had more value than the dollar. It was #1 for $1.4. Buhari did not borrow any kobo to run his government, even though Nigeria was not generating as much revenue as it is generating today.

We were still oil dependent. Plus....value of naira= things cost much cheaper.

And anyway it was just two years after the oil shock....so still early days before the real effects kicked in....

Buhari paid the dept owed by previous administrations. Buhari was refining all the petrol we use locally and was exporting petrol to other countries and making money for Nigeria. Our few refineries were working at optimal level and fuel was available to all that need it.

Yes because 1)The refineries were still relatively new. 2) They were still undergoing Turn around maintenance as and at when due (it was during IBB's rule that we fell behind)...3) There were fewer cars on the road than now.

What Buhari should have done was build more refineries.

There was no religious and ethnic crisis throughout the administration of Muhammadu Buhari. No Igbo was killed in the North and no Hausa was killed in the South as a result of religious and ethnic crisis or division.

Maitatsine was still active up till early 1985.....

Inflation came down from 23.5% in 1983 to 5.5% in 1984 and 1985 before Buhari left office as the head of state. Buhari resisted international interference from IMF to devalue our Naira and also rejected all offer to give loan to Nigeria by the international communities.

Yeah....but the problem was WE WERE STILL OIL DEPENDENT. Inflation fell, I daresay, because of the increased fiscal discipline.
The oil dependency would have still done us in

Buhari introduced war against Indiscipline that swept through all the country and restored discipline in Nigeria. Buhari did not promote himself to a full start general even as a head of state. Buhari did not have any foreign account or buy any property for himself as a head of state.

All true.
What else do Nigerians need? What is happening today? Why are we allowing sentiments and religious bigotry to hold our country to ransom. It is Nigeria that need Buhari and not Buhari that need Nigeria.

THIS IS THE CHANGE WE NEED AND WE MUST ACCEPT.

- Aliyu Gama (P

Buhari is still too old....there are other younger Northerners who could do a good job, either in government or in opposition. Ditto for Southerners.

You are on point. The US claims to be liberal but they are double dealers as far as international relations are concerned. One thing is however glaring;; the US is not with us in the fight against insurgents. Up till today they refused to share intelligence with Nigeria on the outcome of the phantom drone surveillance carried out months ago and even blocked our attempt to procure arms from Israel! They are so dangerous to associate with.

The US has never sold us weapons in our entire history.
Even OBJ an american puppet could not convince them otherwise.
Move to russia, you idiotts.
American weapons will be useless to us in the long run anyway, due to inevitable human rights issues.

I wonder why the FG cant read the handwriting on the wall. I mean it is crystal clear, audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that ever since the nigerian government signed the sanctions for gay acts into law the US has been acting cowardly towards nigeria's plight.
Did they give us experimental zmapp drugs? No...
Did they sell weapon to us? No...
I am sure they were even instrumental to the Nigeria/southafrica arms deal saga.

It wont be easy as ABC, but it is not that difficult too if there is visionary leadership. FACT: India is already sending men to space and probes to the moon (they where the first to discover water on the moon) yet they got independence only 3 years ahead of Nigeria

India is sending space probes to Mars as well .....and for far less than what the US spends....and still gets good quality data.

Nigeria will get there....just lets forget about oil.

I think we should also know how to invest in science and technology, so that we can also develop our own weapons.
Where were singapore, malaysia, thailand, china in the 70s ?
Who knew south korea then ?
Look at them today. South korea develops everything. Look at the heavy machinery they develop.

Anyways if usa don`t sell. Germany and EU will sell. Jona look elsewhere and don`t blame the americans

First Nigeria will not scatter. Secondly, Jonathan is not transparent and excessively corrupt - nobody in his right mind make a deal with such person.

How can one justify smuggling money to South Africa to procure illegal arms when there legitimate ways to get it? Why is Jonathan afraid of the Front gate? Why must he always enter his good neighbour's house by jumping over the fence at the back-yard? Why is he exporting his Stealing-Is-Not-Corruption style of Government to other countries?

The Zoologist must be voted out before he sinks this nation with anarchy and corruption.

You are a fool. Nigeria had to ferry money to South Africa the way they did in any attempt to outwit traitors within and without, example been the US. For your information SA decided to ridicule Nigeria due to their connectivity to Nigerian opposition.. Get that into your senile brain.
