peepydelano: With Atiku there shall be no hunger and poverty in Nigeria anymore . Since we all know that Obi can’t win, why then waste your votes? Just cast your votes for Atiku and let’s enjoy good governance.
ochejoseph: Atiku's Leadership Of The Economic Management Team: Oby Ezekwesili Lied - Dr Oche Otorkpa
It was Caesar J. B. Squitti who said that "Human half-truth logic, dates back to Adam and Eve, when he tried to deceive God with a truth, 'we knew we were naked so we hid', leaving God to understand that something was wrong with Adam's logic, because if Adam knew THE TRUTH, he would know that you can't hide from God.
Few days ago, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili failed in an attempt to rewrite history when she joined the league of political hirelings who myopically think that embarrassing H.E Atiku Abubakar with false claims can prevent him from becoming President.
In a tweet posted on her handle, she claimed that Atiku was never the Head of the Economic Management Team as Vice President from 1999-2007. That tweet on its own clearly shows that the woman is either suffering from amnesia or had no idea of what the Nigerian constitution says, if not madam "empirical evidence" would have simply looked at what the constitution says and stop trying to make a fool of herself.
The National Economic Council (NEC) is established by the provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended; Section 153(1) and Paragraphs 18 & 19 of Part I of the Third Schedule.
For the sake of those she misled with that whimsical tweet, here is what the Nigerian constitution expressly says about economic management in Nigeria:
Part 1 of third Schedule, paragraphs 18 and 19 of 1999 Nigerian Constitution, as amended, states that there shall be National Economic Council which shall comprise the following members –
(a) the Vice-President who shall be the Chairman; the Governor of each State of the Federation; and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and this Council shall have power to advise the President concerning the economic affairs of the Federation, and in particular on measures necessary for the coordination of the economic planning efforts or economic programmes of the various Governments of the Federation.
Madam ‘beggar with receipt’ can quietly support her tribal candidate without spewing half truths and manipulated facts. Atiku led the economic management team from 1999 till 2007, that team included the current Director-General of the World Trade Organization Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who successfully renegotiated and paid off Nigeria’s entire debt with the Paris Club before the current disaster's in government plunged our unborn children into the biggest debt trap in the history of our country with over ₦70 trillion in debts hanging over our necks.
On the leadership of the economic management team, these were the exact words of Atiku:
“I’m not a messiah. I do not promise Eldorado or $1 = N1, but I always ask that we should look at the economic progress we made under my leadership and what I am doing in private business and judge me by those. As VP, I assembled what is arguably the best economic team ever in Nigeria. It was made up of young, world-class professionals, who came home to work. Some of those professionals are now political leaders, governors and world leaders in their own right.” – Atiku Abubakar.
Thanks to those patriotic efforts, men and women like Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Mr. Kekere Ekun, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Bode Augusto, Ms Ifueko Omoigui and other first class professionals were invited to help grow the Nigerian economy.
Fortunately, many of those in that team are still alive today, and will speak shortly on how Atiku assembled them and the contributions they made for the advancement of the nation's economy.
No amount of mud slinging can stop a man whose time has come, H.E Atiku and Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa represents Nigeria's best chance of coming out of the economic doom it has been thrown into by the directionless APC government.
Casting your vote for Peter Obi like Madam Oby and her cohorts are promoting is tantamount to voting for APC because even Peter himself knows he is not going anywhere in next month's Presidential election.
To whom brain is given, sense is required. May God Help Us to Help Ourselves On the 25th of February 2023.
What kind of Dr are you that goes around creating fake accounts to comment your posts. It's a shameful act, you should desist from it. Indeed birds of like feathers, flock together. You can't be following Atiku and won't be exhibiting criminal character.
Strangle: And the made up story is coming from a typical bush person.
Abeg continue leaving in the forest in peace. Don't come out and start causing troubles.
Even your father can not boast to have travelled wide this country the way I've. There's virtually no state in Nigeria I haven't travelled to, because of my job involves travelling from one state to the other. I speak more the 5 Nigerian languages. We ain't in the same level here.
And lastly, majority of Kano voters are undecided. These are the people who leave their choice for an Imam to make for them, I believe. So, in the end, whoever the Imams end up directing them to vote will get their votes.
Majority of them are not undecided as per say, they actually said they won't be voting, as in they are done voting because they trusted Buhari but he failed. Others said they will let God choose for them, whoever God chooses is fine for them, which is a subtle way of saying they won't be voting. Like you rightly stated majority of those voting chose to vote Kwankwaso.
One thing I'm happy about this Kano poll by BantuPage is that, they didn't cover Sabon Gari, which is Peter Obi's stronghold, which houses South-easterners and South-southerners, and the christians populace. Obi will surely pull handful of vote that boost his votecount in Sabon Gari, Kano. I know this because I was once a Bakano.
chigator2: I want to use this medium to advise my Igbo brethren who are under the illusion of One Nigeria or pretending to be. You need to wise up. Nigeria is not for us, nothing Igbos do can pacify most of these people. Your growth is antithetical to their happiness.
When Obi was running vice to a Fulani man, Atiku, the same people who are his detractors and biggest critics today, were the ones who began his over exaggeration and hyping. The praised him as the next best thing. 2022, he decided to step up to their hype and boom, all of a sudden he became an Igbo agenda candidate. (e.g Ogbeni dipo on twitter and Reno Omokri and the host of them ).
Have you ever heard that word used on any other tribe before, Hausa/Fulani agenda or Yoruba agenda. Buhari ran for office in the heat of Boko haram yet nobody called it a Fulani agenda to use terrorism to discredit Jonathan's rule. Instead he was touted as the military man who would crush them but $1 billion and numerous death and kidnappings later, we now know the truth.
But today, Peter Obi is now IPOB's main sponsor and organizer. According to them he is a blackmail tool for Igbos. He is the instigator of the first coup in Nigeria. The same people who didn't care or know much about the 1966 coup organized a special remembrance for the victims, displaying the Igbo officers names as if it were an award, telling Northerners and the rest of Nigerians to remember. Fair. Yet one Nigeria Igbos don't want to remember Biafra, the sacrifice and hope it carried or the millions of lives lost, who you wan impress ? Pesin wey no rate you ?
To them, Igbos look pretty as second or third wheel but shouldn't aspire too much to maintain that beauty ( They want you to be extremely successful in Lagos and Abuja but not in Anambra or Abia, go and check the hate Innoson receives on nairaland threads as per his stance to site and expand in Alaigbo ).
I say Godforbid to that rubbish. Let's work towards Biafra and let everyone run their individual race. Nigeria has far outlived it's experimental purpose, which resulted in a failure. Biafra is calling. Nevertheless, If you must vote in 2023, avoid Obi he stands no chance, vote Atiku which is a lesser evil compared to the shege Afonja will show you if Tinubu wins. Because to some of them, it's all about who will be the better slave to northerners and that game is beneath us.
Please we appreciate your concern, please mentioning Igbos in the same line with Atiku or PDP. We won't vote Atiku or Tinubu for anything in this world. We will vote Peter Obi, if you don't like it, go and hug transformer. Igbos are not fools, Igbo won't be taken for a ride. Igbos, won't be taken for granted. Igbos won't play second fiddle, at least not any more.
You the dumb one here. How can you say Igbos have stake in PDP when there been merely used back to back. Igbos won't be used again. Igbo says no to PDP.
You the dumb one here. How can you say Igbos have stake in PDP when there been merely used back to back. Igbos won't be used again. Igbo says no to PDP.
Come outside and see that things has really changed. Kogi State governor is Ebira for that matter.
Igalas are majority in Kogi State, Ebiras are merely from Okene which is minority. The governor won't have been governor of Kogi State being from the minority tribe if not because of the interest of Aisha Buhari, been that he was her school mate.
Felimax: Take it from me that 70% of Igbos will vote Atiku but not really because of Atiku but because of the stake the Igbos has in PDP. They can never relenquish their huge opportunities they possess in PDP.
Like the SOUTH SOUTH, the SOUTH EAST is another huge domain of the PDP, everybody knows that. At the moment what must be driven away from our corridors of power is the satanic and demonic party in power (the APC). Far from us may they never return. may the calamity of Buhari never visit us again in the person of TINUBU.
PDP has deep respect for federal character and has such has always been the home for all.
Vote Atiku/Okowa!
Igbos don't have any stake in PDP, at least not anymore. Igbos won't be deceived by your PDP lies, at least not anymore. Let it be known to you that the Igbos have moved, and moved for the better. Thanks.
Dear Mynd44 and Seun, it's obvious you guys are biased in this forum. I reported an obvious violation but you didn't do anything about it. I suppose you want Nairaland to be on fire. This is what I can do. Don't dare me, if you want to set NL on fire, we will help you do it. Be warned.
When I'll start mine be sure you called for it. Thank you.
Scripted. Cheap propaganda. Those are never Kwankwaso supporters. Those are obvious APC urchins. I'm glad Kwankwaso will never step down for Tinubu for even having to make fun of him through cheap propaganda.
ImmaculateJOE: Under the space of a month, this man was in different political party.. (APC,SDP LP)
He wants to use Obi's popularity in the state to shine, even though he knows he not going anywhere he just wants to make a political statement for the future..
I might vote for him on election day...
By the grace of God, We will ensure that Obi gets 25% here in Adamawa state..
Please let's support and vote for him. At least he's now in LP. Let's refrain from statements that will bring about disunity in Labour Party. Unity is paramount at this time. I see Obi getting the required 25% even in Adamawa if we are united. Thanks.
So Delta state is now Igbo because you want to use it to score cheap political point, tomorrow you will still be the one to say that Delta state is not Igbo when you want to score a different point. Please remind me the definition of Hypocrisy.
triple996: If he likes he should go to white house and make noise it won't change anything....
North- won't vote an ipob candidate that killed their brothers West - will vote tinubu enmasses East- will sit at home and roast any sabo caught on election day Niger dealta- will be d battle ground for all candidates
Shut your rotten mouth, it's oozing... You have just one vote, even your father will vote PO. You're just an inconsequential urchin.
BlackKafka: Of 36 states, Obi is only sure of getting 25% in at most 14 states (5 SE, 6 SS, Lagos, Abuja); He is nowhere in this race, and both He and Datti know this - Datti is barely even campaigning up north. The race is still between Atiku and Tinubu.
adioolayi: The op sef....divided North, where Jonathan and PDP won some states in the North, check Borno in 2011...and the States he didn't win, he came second..having more than 25% in many!
The same Jonathan clearing Southwest states..
I pity anyone comparing 2011 elections as a divided North and an advantage to the South candidate with a new movement to predict 2023 elections.
For the umpteenth time, 2023 elections is between Atiku and Tinubu to lose...with Tinubu having a slight advantage. Nothing has changed.
I believe in miracles though..will like to see one in Nigeria s election
You can't force 2023 election to be between Atiku and Tinubu, when Tinubu is not visibly in the race. The race is obviously between Obi and Atiku.
