Romance › Re: Obstacles That Might Have Kept Some Of Our Guys From Getting Married In 2015 *CT by 1miccza: 10:03pm On Dec 30, 2015

Lovely and revealing piece by my sister in the Lord....sister Lanicky sexy cheesy

I with like to add something to this rightly speculated obstacles affecting single men from clinching a marriage worthy beautiful lady like me gringrin

1)They are materialistic....Some guys are so materialistic that all they spend the little money they earn on is cloths and shoes, you know that party taking place at Quilox they are the best dressed there

2)Laziness : this point will make me to forever remember my EX,jeeez dude is so lazy, some guys are so lazy they can't even wash their undies. you will see them wearing dirty cloths over and over again, waiting for their house maid girlfriend to come do the laundry for them

3)Unambitious habit : a poor unambitious dude is a very big turn off biko, this days some guys will just be roaming around the street, travelling up and down doing nothing...please how will a lady find them marriage worthy sef. undecided

etc

Guys should try and make some positive changes in 2016 so that ladies can at least see them as husband worthy, because many Nigerian men are not even 1/2 yard husband material tongue tongue cheesy

This is more realistic and i believe in it. Op that your own no follow jooo. This is more like it

Literature › Re: Literature Section Critic Thread. by 1miccza: 6:53am On Dec 30, 2015
I think the hallmark of any good write up remains the suspense and the twists and turns. That was what attracted me to the stories in this section back then. Just as someone said it shouldn't be about sex. I've read the above stated story and those two qualities are missing.

It's more of a huge zoo where we (the citizens) watch different animals (the politicians) act out in their confined space away from the reality of life. They seem like the ones behind bars, but the citizens watching are the ones behind bars.
It's so funny. You are soooo on point...

Romance › Re: How Sex With A Stranger Almost Cost Me My Life On Xmas Day by 1miccza: 4:49pm On Dec 29, 2015

Not supporting or condemning your doing a quickie with a stranger, however the only part of the narrative I think ridiculous is this:

The only person i finally told the true of what transpired was a man of God; whom after praying, disclosed to me that the strange girl has a jealous spiritual husband who is a serpent. So the snake that bit me wasn't ordinary.

Trust me, even if you were not bitten by a snake, and you confess this escapade to your MOG someday, he will probably still tell you that the lady was a spirit, or some bullshyte.

Sex is sex, be it at home, work, on the road, in the bush, in your car, on your roof....The only difference here is you invaded a reptile's privacy, and it struck back at you. You were in a village, bushes everywhere, and snakes hide in bushes, and it was night too...

If you guys had been in a hotel room in the city and a snake appeared to join up for a thre3some, I could have bought your pastor's tale.
My brotherrrr!!! You're so on point here.. When i got to that stage or level i was running through the whole write up to see if there was a part that said the girl disappeared and the snake appeared. For heaven sake. He was bitten by a snake , that's all.. These men of gods these days now have the same lame answer to every question or problem... Op #selfcontrolisthekey ..........

Literature › Re: Revamping Our Dying Literature Section... I Nominate Divepen1 And Llaykorn Mods by 1miccza: 9:50pm On Dec 28, 2015
repogirl:
I have been a writer on this section for over three years now and it is regretful to say that the section has been left to degradation.

Writers have now migrated to the romance and sexuality sections in order to get more readers and appreciation for their works.

What crime did we commit in here that our works can't grace front page anymore? All we beg for is a little recognition especially for the hardworking, upcoming writers here. It just isn't fair.

I think the blame falls on the mod in charge, he probably needs assistance and that's why I am advocating for literary inclined, passionate contributors from this section to help out.

I hereby nominate Divepen1 for Mod/asst. Mod for Lit. Section and Llaykorn mod for poetry section.

Both members have been dedicated to this section for years now... And have shown a passion for literature and poetry.

I have been in talks with them and they have agreed to do their best to revamp the section.

Below is evidence of threads they started to boost activity in the section

Divepen1

Llaykorn

www.nairaland.com/2045307/poetry-classes-beginners-npc-signup

Please let's do this for all literature lovers on Nairaland. This section has a lot of untapped potential...all they need is a little recognition for their efforts.

Oga Seun, please remember us at this end.... We still deserve to be on the front-page. It was a story by Virgo, Umari Anyim on the frontpage that made me pick up my pen and begin writing again and Nairaland has taken me quite beyond my own expectations.

All I ask is that you continue to do this for others. Thank you.
