Of course the science then are way more advanced than we think or make them out to be but just more crude than ours, we just developed more on what they know. .

E.g: The wheel, they invented the wheel for carts and chariots, we still use wheels today, tyres...

telescope, we also still use telescopes today of which one of the most remarkable the Hubble telescope .

so you see, its basically the same thing. . The scientific concept is the same just the portrayal differs
Why then did they abandon the water wheel? That would have been a very veritable tool for our agriculture especially now when agriculture's coming back in full swing..

I agree those two concepts are very ancient, they are just improving now
Honestly you are so damn right there!!

Trust me...or ask any engineer...channelling those grooves are nowhere near as hard as building the pyramids themselves...piece of cake.

The water wheel is basically a contraption to harness hydropower...let's say a very basic for of a hydro turbine...but with the right add-ons, you can channel that water anywhere you want. The water wheel doesn't spray the water...it can direct the flow of water...

...and with a bit of pressure properly applied...anywhere could be 'upwards'
I used to believe that we are much more advanced scientifically now in terms of methods and ideas now, the scientists back then would have been pretty good then... grin and i am Engineer...

Nope the water wheels just need to take the water into a channelling system that will have a fairly well distributed channel through out the garden. . so it is a huge architectural task but do not forget who we are dealing with here, not just any king but the mighty, rich and powerful. . Nebuchadenezeer smiley he has the resources to achieve that as many times as he wants
Yeah that sure shows that civilization and science is as old as time itself...

The key to understanding the 'hanging gardens' is to remember that Babylon was in the desert...and vegetation was sparse...

It's also known that the gardens had multiple terraces...

Since we know the water wheel had been invented at this time, who's to say there wasn't a duct through which a water wheel (or something similar...you get the drift) pushed water all the way to the top of this formation...

Then by a series of carefully planned, cut and channeled grooves and well laid soil within these terraces, allow gravity to do the rest of his work of 'watering' the 'garden' and then all you need is a knowledgeable husbandman and voila! You can have whatever plants you wanted and all would work as it should....

That's one way of looking at it mate...

If they could build the pyramids and the sphinx...
Talking about carefully channelled grooves , that would be one hell of a task and do the water wheels shoot sprays of water upwards??

I hope you realize what would happen if you were to suddenly fall?
The terminal velocity of the human body is 360m/s. Multiply that with your mass, you will experience an average force of 36000N upon hitting the ground.
Abeg, come down. huh
Ehn and if you calculate all this force and velocity how e wan take add sugar to my gari. Please what goes up must remain up oo i love my position, after all John Newton said so or is that not that ibo boy's name?

Someone just sent me a mail asking if this happened really like 'Escapades In The North', 'cos it appears I'm using the main character (Damien) to describe myself. I just had to laugh.

To you all, Accidental Victim could be termed 'FICTION', unlike the other I wrote. But the fact is this: I personally don't really believe in 'fiction'. I believe that every reality to/about someone is fiction to someone else, whether you accept it or not. I see every fictional story as real as the imagination of the writer. It exists in his/her mind, hence to the writer, it is reality. To follow along and enjoy a story as it's been told, you need to feel the characters as they emerge and in a way, think like the writer. In so doing you've accepted the story as a reality in your mind and it's stops being fiction. In as much as this didn't happen physically but metaphysically, I'll try to describe scenes that are physically possible. Thanks for reading...

One thing i love about your story is the creativity and suspense that comes with it

In as much as this move is a very good and timely one, i think if the salaries of this public servants, senators and reps are not slashed considerably and pruned to size, it would render this move ineffective. Cos this should have gone a long way in helping the finances of the nation....
