I condemn, unreservedly and with every strength in me, the recent terrorist attacks in Kano and Jos, the two historic cities that are known for their rich cultural and religious heritage.Once again, those who seek to influence our way of life, modify our faith and our most sacred core values, have struck, leaving in their wake lives brutally cut short, limbs badly broken and dreams forced to fade away.
But these people, whose actions are not sanctioned by any religion and who subscribe to no known decent values, will not succeed. Our people are resilient and strong, and our nation is capable, based on our rich human and material resources, of successfully tackling these nihilists.

We will together see the end of them and their reign of terror. They have failed because Nigeria will remain strong and united in the face of what has now become an almost daily infliction of terror on a defenceless people. Women, children and the aged are not spared by these barbaric purveyors of horror, intimidation and panic. No religion condoles the killings of such vulnerable and innocent people, hence we are sure these terrorists profess to none of the world’s great religions, much as they seek to mask their actions with the cloak of religion.

Because their ideals are primordial and whatever cause they claim to be pushing is not just, they will not succeed. In spite of their terror, our respective faith and how we practice them will flourish and expand. Our reputation as a people of deep faith and peaceful religious coexistence will shine through, it will not diminish, it will not be forfeited.

I commiserate with the victims and their family members. While praying that Allah will grant repose to the souls of the departed and comfort those who lost loved ones, I urge all of us to demonstrate our time-tested compassion by providing support and succour to those affected one way or other other in their hour of need.

To my long-suffering fellow citizens who have borne the brunt of these almost daily senseless attacks, I say help is on the way. Terror must and will be defeated. All it requires is the political will, uncommon courage and unrelenting determination, and victory will be ours.

The Army authorities yesterday accused an online media, Sahara Reporters, of working for the Boko Haram terror group.

In a statement issued by its director of public relations, Brigadier Olaleye Lajide, the Army dismissed a story published on the website of the medium where it alleged that a serving officer, Lt Col Wende, petitioned the Army hierarchy.

“It is noteworthy but unfortunate that Sahara Reporters has committed itself to support terrorism and fight Nigeria, its people, its military and particularly the Nigerian Army.

“Before Sahara Reporters published their purported document described as petition from Lt Col Wende, a serving commanding officer, the Nigerian Army conducted a thorough investigation on the document involving other security and intelligence gathering agencies. The process confirmed that the serving officer was not the author of the petition,” the Army stated.

The statement further disclosed that at a press conference in Maiduguri, the officer involved, Wende, disassociated himself from the petition and Sahara Reporters which published the story was not only absent but went to discredit the officer, describing him as “unverified”.

If u are sitting comfortably in your house today and keeps seeing boko haram calamities afar, one day it can come to your doorstep. GMB was once the president of nigeria and we never noticed anything like insurgency during his regime. If you continue saying that boko haram heinous acts is a way to sabotage mr GEJ administartion then what stops him from using the will and power nigerians entrustred on him to curb this menace. All listed items are related to the purpose APC said the centre is meant for, data capturing of its membership and turn them into soft copies after the registration done in hardcopies and hand filling of forms by prospecting members.

What has somebody registering 19times have to do with INEC CLONE PVC OR ILLEGAL ENTRY INTO INEC DATABASE TO HACK AND SUPERIMPOSE AND REPLACE IT INFORMATION ON THEIR VOTERS REGISTER..

Why not show the world the CLONE PVC you saw there, THE IP HISTORY AND HACKING PROCEDURES INTO INEC DBMS, tangible and verifiable list of items to show the APC is culpable of the offenses you accused them of.

The picture apparently shows a huge (dead) snake,probably an African Python being displayed by a group of men believed to have killed it.

In any case, Snake meat is considered a delicacy in some parts of Nigeria and it's very likely that the reptile pictured here has already made it into someones pot of soup.

I can't see any damn snake here nah.......

Bros, being a Speaker or number 4th Citizen is just a mere title. He would still be loyal to the Governor of his state because he controls only a Constituency, while the Governor controls the whole State. If not that some Speakers are just too corrupt, they shouldn't be anywhere near the Governors when it comes to money.

In short and in summary: he's going there to control MONEY which he was unable to control well enough while he was the speaker
