What's the difference between Ameechi and Wike ? They're both same of the same. The only difference is one knows how to play the game in Rivers better than the other.
The atmosphere was calm under Amaechi because there was no opposition then. All the political thugs in the state were under one PDP umbrella. When Amaechi moved to the APC, what he did was to create a battle by dividing the political thugs.
Only one man can fight and defeat Amaechi, and that's Nyesom Wike on election day, PDP and Wike would thrash Amaechi and APC

Let's Do A Simple Calculation..

A Service Of A SAN costs at least 10 Million Naira...

Now Multiply 10M X 66 SANS Hired By Saraki

=660,000,000 Naira Just to Defend Himself...

Politics / CCT Trial: Saraki Hires 66-SAN Defence Team by 1United1: 6:16pm On Mar 11, 2016
Saraki hires 66-lawyer defence team

Senate President Bukola Saraki appeared before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on Friday to face false declaration of assets charges, with 66 lawyers on his defence team.

Senate President Bukola Saraki’s lead counsel, Kanu Agabi, took about 10 minutes to read the long list of advocates and for them to acknowledge their presence at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Saraki is facing 13 counts of false declaration of assets relating to his time as governor of the north central state of Kwara.

There was no immediate explanation about why so many lawyers were needed but it is not the first time in Nigeria a defendant has hired such a profusion of briefs.

Last month, Rickey Tarfa, a prominent lawyer facing charges of obstruction of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice, appeared in court in Lagos with a 90-strong defence team.

The judge in that case said such a huge number amounted to “harassment and intimidation of the court”.

Saraki’s case has been seen as a test of President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption campaign, given his position in the hierarchy after the head of state and his deputy Yemi Osinbajo.

Buhari is trying to stamp out endemic corruption and impunity. Several high-profile politicians and public figures have been arrested, charged and are now standing trial.

Saraki, who denies buying real estate he did not declare with stolen public money, has challenged the competency of the tribunal to try him all the way to the Supreme Court.

The apex body last month ordered the trial to go ahead.

But the case was adjourned again until March 18, as Agabi said a fresh application had been lodged over the jurisdiction of the tribunal, which handles cases of bureaucrats accused of graft.

Prosecutor Rotimi Jacobs described the new defence motion as “a deliberate attempt to scuttle today’s trial so that this matter will not go on.”

Which Jurisdiction again.

OK Better!

Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, succeeded in stopping  his trial on charges of false assets declaration before the Code of Conduct Tribunal from taking off on Friday.

The trial was scheduled to commence on Friday, but Saraki’s new lead counsel, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN)‎, informed the Danladi Umar-led tribunal that he had filed a motion which he said must be heard before trial could commence.

But the lead prosecuting counsel, Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), described the motion as “a deliberate attempt to stop the trial from going on”.

“The defendant keeps saying that there is no case against him and that he is being persecuted. Why doesn’t he let the trial start so that the whole world can see the persecution?” Jacobs asked. The prosecutor, who said he had not been served with the motion, insisted that by virtue of the judgment of the Supreme Court delivered on February 5 which validated the trial, the day’s business was for the prosecution to open  its case.

He added that by virtue of section 396 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015, even if the motion was heard, ruling on it could only be delivered along with the judgment in the case.

‎But Agabi, who apologised for the erroneous service of his motion on the Federal Ministry of Justice instead of the prosecution, said since his motion was challenging the jurisdiction of the tribunal, it must be heard before going into the substantive case.

Jacobs later accepted service of the motion in open court and the tribunal chairman resolved that the two parties should exchange other processes in relation to the motion before March 18‎.

The tribunal fixed March 18 for the hearing of the motion, adding that ruling on it would be deferred and trial would commence on the same day.

‎Saraki, was accompanied to the Friday’s proceedings by about 40 senators.

Some of the prominent senators who were at the tribunal included, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Stella Oduah, Danjuma Goje, Samuel Anyanwu, Tayo Alasoadura, Ben Bruce, Shehu Sani, Hope Uzodima and Dino Melaye.

Politics / Alleged False Declaration Of Assets: Saraki Appears In CCT With 30 Senators by 1United1: 11:35am On Mar 11, 2016
Saraki arrived CCT at about 9:56am in company of about 30 senators.

Prominent among the 84 senators who stormed the CCT in solidarity with the senate president are , Sen. Ike Ekweremadu, Ben Murray-Bruce, Dino Melaye, Stella Oduah, Samuel Anyanwu.

Recall that the Senate President is expected to be confronted by witnesses who will testify that he lied in the assets declaration forms he submitted to the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB during his eight years tenure as governor of Kwara State.

In the 13-count charge of false assets declaration filed against the Senate President at Tribunal on September, 2015, CCB had alleged that he made false claims in the four assets declarations forms he submitted on his assumption and exit from office at different times between 2003 and 2011.

Specifically, the Senate President was in the 13 counts charge alleged to have corruptly acquired many properties while in office as Governor of Kwara State.

According to  CCB some of the assets traced to him at the end of his tenure as governor were not declared in the assets declaration forms he filled and submitted on assumption of office. Similarly, Saraki was accused of making anticipatory declaration of assets as some of the assets he listed as belonging to him upon his assumption of office as governor was discovered to have been acquired later.

porka:
[s]That is the typical mind-set of the LAGGARDS.

Having failed woefully to make significant progress in their lives, their best bet is to look for a way to somehow 'arrest' other people's development.

The foolish thinking is that since they are not making any improvement in their set goals, any other person progressing must be doing so ‎unfairly. They then seek for a 'supernatural event' to hold people's hands for them to make a catch up.

The HARD‎ RESET that this guy is talking about is a wish for everything to crash completely, for everyone to start at the base. And 'hoping' that they would be favored in the new dispensation.

Unfortunately, things don't work that way. Life is a very hard competitive space. If you remain uncompetitive, there's no amount of ‎RESET that can solve your problem.

Competitive people can give you a 10 year advantage (not the mere 1 year of Buhari's so-called reset), you will still find yourself at the back at the eleventh year. If you are in doubt checkout the beneficiaries of the so-called revolutions. ‎

While it may not necessarily be the same name, the class is the same. Nothing goes to the whining LAGGARDS who are expecting a RESET. Only pains and more bitterness. Unfortunately for this guy, he acknowledged the ‎progress made in agriculture and railroads, yet, he prefers a phantom RESET.

That's a very foolish way of decision making. For in the past 9 months, billions of naira have been spent by Buhari, they have not been spent on agriculture neither on railroads. They have been spent on things that have no impact on this LAGGARD.

The job scarcity he feared would continue is getting worse, it is now in reverse,  jobs are been lost in millions by the hitherto employed people. Those in otherwise ‎safe employments are being owed several months  salary. Factory closure is the order of the day. Hopelessness is on the increase since no one has seen any RESET BUTTON. ‎

Instead of this type of people to be rueing their foolish decision, take their destiny in their hands, go out and compete like others, they are still somehow expecting a miracle RESET by‎ someone who is positioning his children to 'rule' them.

Even if you give Buhari one thousand years, you guys will still be at the back, and bitterly complaining about your expectations not being met, while he would have done an incalculable damage to the polity‎, making it impossible for you to ever taste success.[/s]
