Senegalese-American singer, Akon has revealed that he was heart-broken after P-Square's split.



Speaking to Channels Television on the sidelines of the Expo 2020 Dubai, Akon described them as family and also disclosed that the separation may be due to a lot of pressure in their careers and relationship.

He said;

“It broke my heart because we are family. These are brothers and they shared the same womb and I always felt money should not get in between them.

Delta State Police Command has arrested a serial ATM snatcher and fraudster in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, in a statement on Tuesday November 9, said the suspect, Ojo Amos, 38, of Agbara- Otor, Ughelli North LGA, specializes in stealing ATM cards from unsuspecting victims.

2/11/2021 at about 1300hrs, upon a tip-off that the suspect was seen in a POS Stand located beside a bank in Ozoro branch, the DPO Ozoro Division detailed operatives who swung into action in conjunction with the chairman Olotu vigilante in Ozoro. They were deployed to the scene and arrested the suspect. 33 ATM cards and a cash sum of Fifty thousand Naira (#50,000) were recovered from him," DSP Edafe stated. 

The statement said ,"preliminary investigations later revealed that the suspect usually stays behind his victims at the ATM machine waiting and targeting people who he feels are not too educated, old women/children and once he notice that they are having problem operating the ATM machine, he moves closer to them pretending to be a bank staff trying to help them and in the process he swaps the ATM card,"

The suspect also confessed that he watches them as they enter their ATM pins, memorizes it and after swapping the ATM cards, he uses either a POS stand or ATM machine to empty their bank accounts. He said he has been doing this for the past four years.

The Commissioner of Police Delta State CP Ari Muhammed Ali, while urging members of the public to be law abiding also advice that they learn from the cases regularly reported by the command and also for them to be vigilant when making use of their ATM cards and ensure that only uniform bank staff be allowed to assist them when the need arises.

Lionel Messi will not sign a new contract at Barcelona, the club has confirmed in a statement that confirmed the Argentine is now set to leave the Catalan side.

The Argentine star’s latest deal expired this summer but he was expected to commit to a new contract ahead of the new season.

Messi held talks with the club on Thursday and although both parties hoped to reach an agreement that would see Messi remain at Camp Nou, many sources understand there were discrepancies that put the deal at risk of collapsing.

A statement on the club’s website read:

“Despite FC Barcelona and Lionel Messi having reached an agreement and the clear intention of both parties to sign a new contract today, this cannot happen because of financial and structural obstacles (Spanish Liga regulations).

“As a result of this situation, Messi shall not be staying on at FC Barcelona. Both parties deeply regret that the wishes of the player and the club will ultimately not be fulfilled.

“FC Barcelona wholeheartedly expresses its gratitude to the player for his contribution to the aggrandisement of the club and wishes him all the very best for the future in his personal and professional life.”

Messi had agreed to sign a new five-year contract with the Spanish giants.
The 34-year-old was set to accept a deal that would see his weekly wage reduced by 50 per cent.

But the club’s financial situation made it impossible for them to register him for the new season without drastically reducing their wage bill.

The attacker will have his pick of teams to join ahead of the new season, but it remains to be seen which contenders can afford to land him.
Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are said to be eager to lure him and are regarded as two of the few teams who could match his salary demands.

Messi has also expressed a desire to move back to his boyhood club Newell’s Old Boys to finish his career.

Messi moved to Camp Nou at the age of 13 and progressed through the youth system to make his debut in 2003 when he was just 16.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has alleged that Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas paid $20,600 ( 8 million Naira) to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, to arrest and detain a co-conspirator. Chibuzo Kelly Vincent.

Chibuzo is one of the 6 people the FBI indicted over an elaborate scheme to defraud a Qatari businessperson of more than $1 million, masterminded by celebrity fraudster, Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas.

However, Chibuzo reportedly wanted more money from the deal and threatened to expose the fraud if he doesn’t get it, so Hushpuppi allegedly paid Abba Kyari to arrest and detain Chibuzo.

A document issued by the United States District Court for the Central District of California and dated February 12, 2021 said that after Hushpuppi contacted Kyari, the police officer sent an account number for the money to be paid to him.

“Kyari provided the account information for a bank account at a Nigerian bank, Zenith Bank, in the name of a person other than Kyari himself,” the document stated.

Detailing the events leading to the alleged payment, the document stated: “On January 16, 2020, Abbas sent a message to Kyari on WhatsApp, and then placed five calls to another phone number (+234806073****) that was listed as ‘Abba Kyari.’ Call records show that the last three of the calls were answered and that one of the calls lasted more than two minutes.

“Shortly after that, Abbas received a message from Kyari, confirming ‘We would pick him today or tomorrow.’ Abbas wrote, ‘I will take care of the team also after they pick him up.’ Kyari confirmed ‘Yes ooo.’”
The document averred that, based on the conversation described in paragraphs 143 to 145, Abbas planned to pay the Nigeria Police Force officers who arrested Chibuzo for that service.

The document adds that “this was not the only time that Abbas arranged payments with Kyari."

The document reads: “On May 20, 2020, Abbas sent Kyari transaction receipts for two transactions from accounts at Nigerian banks (GTBank and Zenith Bank) of a person Abbas knew in the U.A.E.— a person also arrested with Abbas in Abbas’ apartment in the U.A.E. by Dubai Police on June 9, 2020 — to the Nigerian bank accounts of another person in Nigeria.

“The amounts on the transaction receipts totalled 8 million Nigerian Naira, which was approximately $20,600 based on publicly available exchange rate information.”

Explaining why Chibuzo was arrested, the FBI document stated: “Attempting to reason with Abbas, on January 18, 2020, Chibuzo recounted for Abbas all the assistance he had provided in the scheme to victimize the victim Businessperson, including creating the ‘power of attorney’ document, devising a story to tell the victim Businessperson, and facilitating the creation of the ‘telephone banking’ number and fake Wells Fargo website.

“On January 20, 2020, Kyari sent to Abbas a biographical, identifying information for Chibuzo, along with a photograph of him. In a conversation immediately following, Abbas confirmed, ‘that is him sir.’

“Kyari stated, ‘We have arrested the guy. He is in my cell now. This is his picture after we arrested him today’.”

Abba Kyari then sent details about Chibuzo and Chibuzo’s photograph to Hushpuppi using two different WhatsApp numbers, one of which is Kyari’s “private number” the document stated.

“From that point on, Kyari and Abbas primarily discussed the arrest and detention of Chibuzo through WhatsApp on this ‘private number,'” the document stated further.

“After receiving the photograph of Chibuzo, Abbas stated, ‘I want him to go through serious beating of his life.’ Kyari responded, ‘Hahahaha,’ and Abbas replied, ‘Seriously sir.’

“Kyari then asked for details about what Chibuzo did on audio, which Kyari said was ‘So that we will know what to do.’

“In response to Kyari’s question about what Chibuzo had done to Abbas, Abbas sent Kyari an audio message, which is transcribed here, describing how Chibuzo had tried to steal away a fraud victim (i.e., ‘the job’) from him.”

In the audio message, Hushpuppi explained to Abba Kyari that Chibuzo sent a message to their fraud victim “behind my back and try to divert the money.”
After listening to Huspuppi’s audio message, Abba Kyari wrote back to him: “Ok I understand. But he has not succeeded.”

Abbas claimed Chibuzo had taken some money, and provided Kyari with two screenshots, one of which contained the phone number 3054405586 (the phone number Chibuzo used to contact the Victim Businessperson).

The document further alleged that “Abbas further told Kyari that he wanted to pay money to send Chibuzo to jail for a long time, stating, ‘Please sir, I want to spend money to send this boy to jail, let him go for a very long time.’

“Kyari responded,’Ok bro, I understand; I will discuss with my team who arrested him . . . And handling the case We will do something about it.’
“Abbas responded, ‘Let me know how I can send money to the team sir. Let them deal with him like armed robber.’ Kyari responded, ‘OK I will send their account details to u.’

“Abbas further wrote, ‘He betray me and try to take food out my mouth, this is great punishable sin,’ and Kyari responded, ‘Yeah bro.’

“Abbas then continued, ‘I want him to suffer for many years.’ Kyari responded, ‘Hahahaha! Hahahaha.'”
The document alleged that, “Approximately six minutes later, Kyari provided the account information for a bank account at a Nigerian bank, Zenith Bank, in the name of a person other than Kyari himself.

“Abbas responded, ‘Ok sir, tomorrow by noon,’ indicating that he would make the payment to Kyari’s team by the next day.”

After one month of being in detention, Chibuzo became ill and Abba Kyari allegedly reached out to Ramon “Huspuppi” Abass to inform him.

The document reads: “Approximately a month later, on February 19, 2020, Kyari sent a message to Abbas, saying, ‘Hello hush with [sic] need to talk about the subject under detention with me.’

“Abbas asked, ‘Should I call u on this number sir?’ to which Kyari replied ‘Yes call me.’

“The following day, Kyari sent Abbas multiple photographs of Chibuzo to Abbas, including close-up photographs showing a rash or skin disease on Chibuzo’s torso and arms.

“Abbas responded, ‘I don pity am, make them leave am from Tuesday.’ Kyari wrote, ‘Ok bro, they just brought him from hospital. The fever and the rashes is giving him serious wahala. He got the disease from other suspects in the cell.’

“Abbas responded, ‘I see am, I no too pity am. That’s what people like him deserve, but I go forgive am for God sake.’

“Abbas then said, ‘No problem sir from Tuesday he can go,” apparently giving Kyari his blessing to release Chibuzo from custody.

“Kyari responded, ‘Ok bro. We will also keep his phone and other gadgets for some weeks.’ Abbas responded, ‘Yes those ones they should not give him again, those ones are gone . . . Make he no see those ones again for life.’

“Kyari responded, ‘Yes he will not see it again.’ “

Crystal Palace have announced the signing of England-born Nigerian midfielder Michael Olise from Reading, Uzomedia TV reports.



According to a statement released on Palace’s official website on Thursday, Olise joined Palace on a five-year contract.

“Crystal Palace have completed the signing of highly-rated teenager Michael Olise from Reading.

“Olise, a 19-year-old attacking midfielder, has signed a five-year contract with the club as Palace’s first arrival since Patrick Vieira’s appointment as manager.”

“Crystal Palace have completed the signing of highly-rated teenager Michael Olise from Reading.

Olise moves to south London after a season with Reading that saw him earn seven goals and 12 assists from 46 games.

He started his youth career with Chelsea, before joining Manchester City and then Reading, where he worked his way through the system and earned a first-team debut in March 2019, aged just 17.

This achievement – and three further senior appearances – secured Olise Reading’s Scholar of the Season Award for 2018/19.

He enjoyed more minutes with the Royals in 19/20 and scored his first professional goal in September 2019 against Barnsley.

But it was in 20/21 where Olise’s name truly came to the fore, with the promising youngster scooping a trio of awards for his impressive performances: EFL Young Player of the Season, and inclusion in the Championship Team of the Season as well as the PFA’s Championship Team of the Year.

Internationally, the attacking midfielder has represented France Under-18s in the Toulon Tournament.

He was born in England to a Nigerian father, and French-Algerian mother and is eligible to represent France, Algeria, England, and Nigeria internationally.

On 27 May 2019, Olise was called up to the France U-18 for the 2019 Toulon Tournament and made his debut on 2 June 2019, against Qatar U-23.

In March 2021, Olise was named as a standby for the Nigeria squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.

The police in Enugu State have arrested three male suspects for their involvement in railway tracks and sleepers vandalism in the state.



Confirming their arrest to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, said one Chukwuma Okoye aged 56 and Oluchukwu Igboke aged 25, both of Anambra State, were intercepted and arrested on July 2 at about 0140hrs, by a Joint Security patrol team, headed by the Officer-in-Charge of the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad, at Emene Enugu, along Enugu/Abakaliki highway.

”Upon search conducted on 2 Mercedes trucks with registration numbers: AWK 296 YX and UWN 471 ZX, they were respectively driving, the Operatives uncovered large pieces of vandalized railway tracks and sleepers, they both confessed to be transporting from Ezza-Nkwubor, Emene to Anambra State. The 2 lorries and the vandalized items have been recovered.

Similarly, Police Operatives attached to the Command’s CP Monitoring Unit on June 10 arrested one Boniface Eze aged 37, of Anambra State and recovered a Mercedes 911 lorry with registration number: XC 360 UWN loaded with vandalized railway tracks and sleepers at Ezza-Nkwubor, Emene, Enugu.

His arrest is due to the Operatives swift response to credible information, alleging that some persons vandalized the said railway tracks and sleepers, loaded and were about to transport same to an unknown location. The suspect and driver of the said lorry also confessed to be transporting the vandalized items to Anambra State.”Ndukwe said

He added that efforts have been intensified to arrest accomplices to the crime, with the view to charging them to court once investigation is concluded.
