Make a time table..for some paticular section..not that other sections would not fall in but..it will make u reach every sections...

.for those complaining of their topics not frontpaged..i think you should mail the supermod..it worked for me!! They moved it not less than five minutes when they found it worthy..
Should i say they are to busy to reach every section and move to FP but you showing them worthy FP material they will check if it worthy and do something about it..

Certainly more exposure to readers, traffic stats would be higher and would not be ignored by search engines and other ranking sites. Just ensure it is the relevant ones that get the ticket ans at least let each link last 24hrs on the homepage before it is shifter to page 2.

In short a good improvement. Keep it coming. Cheers

Post something interesting and share it with your followers to generate initial traffic. Keep the topic alive by replying the people who post on it.

Mr seun I would like to refer to your 3rd response, some sections are always congested like romance/celebrity/Politics while some sections are not, like General, science/technology and so on. If you post something interesting/inviting in romance or celebrity section, people will definitely rush in to comment because of its natural high traffic nature. But we have some interesting Topics in some sections with very low viewers, so comments before FP will be kind of low. I don't go to celebrity/romance, if you can check my profile/Topics. Most times I post on General, where viewing members and guests might not be up to 10/20 sometimes. But when am opportuned to get to FP, am always happy by fellow nairalanders' comments. Im proud to say that none of my Topic that has made FP is having a single comment like " What is this doing on FP or who moved this to FP" You can verify.
My suggestion is this, when people that makes Nairaland/Nairalanders are complaining too much about a Topic/Thread that just made FP negatively, I think such Topics should be removed from FP, just a suggestion please.

I created these Topics some weeks back, but not on FP. Please Can I know what's wrong with them?

@Seun, the only issue i have with the frontpage updates this days is that it often characterises rumour & some uncomfirmed news which sometimes turns out to be false. I used to rely on breaking news from nairaland but these days i have to do a double check.
Please keep up the integrity nairaland is known for by allowing only credible news make frontpage especially on sensitive matters like politics and the likes because it sometimes sends the wrong signal.

i love the way the fp is being updatwg these days.


but that dislike button is highly needed...

The front page should have a place where the most important and most read updates for that day will stay (dis should be at the top), while other regular updates should be added every five or ten minutes (it should be at the middle moving from top to down and the last dissapearing when a new updates is being added), this will make it interesting. While the most trending news or story for that week should stay at the bottom of the front page.

Sometimes back, I posted a Topic around 7pm, and before morning it has gotten over a thousand views with many comments but didn't go FP.

I don't really know why guys here are saying it's gud, it's nice and all. Check any home page topic and you will see some concerned fellows saying tins like 'why is this on fp' and 'please don't kill nairaland'.
1. Topics from celebrity section is now too much on fp. I agree that'll probably drive more traffic, but it wont be good to sacrifice quality posts at the expense of 'traffic' or smtin else. I don't know what a thread about one rookie artiste's bossom nearly popping out on stage is doing on fp.
2. When I joined NL sm months bak, what made me register is no other thing but to be able to comment on useful posts like those from business, education, health, etc sections. If you could generate a data about the demography of NLer's, that will be a good way of knowing what people wants most.
Using a qouta system might be gud. Celeb news shud probably take the least ratio and even those ones coming to fp must at least be 'reasonable' and 'entertaining' enough. Not som crap about falling bossoms et al.


We know d 'road' to LIB or bellanaija if we want to read entertainment news. Pls do something to salvage the dying NL home page. We love u NL. Long live NL!
