That's a very good question... I'll go for an alternative since the owner of the property wont allow me to use it. *Simple*

funny... Doing such means one is coward.

The Rivers State Government is not under any obligation to give any reason, if it chooses, why the stadium should not be used.

There you go again? Is the stadium his personal property? Does it not belong to the rivers State people? If the APC could make use of if and then Rivers state people of PDP extract apply to use it to host the President and his campaign, why on earth can't they?

The Rivers state governor could only be justified to do as he desires if the facility was built and financed strictly from his personal funds. Unfortunately for him, it's public money and therefore the Rivers people whatever the political affiliation have equal right to use the facility and much more so the C-in-C.

GEJ HAS EATEN POISON!

By taking the Stadium by force through the use of soldiers when 'The Landlord' did not approve it, GEJ has just taken a poison dose that will continue to run and rumble his stomach.
jonathan did not take the stadium by force. Besides, it is not the responsibility of the governor to be determining what venue should be used for what. There should be those saddled with the responsibility of managing the facility and those are the people that should state if the stadium is available for use or not.

Amaechi was just being a busybody and deliberately disrespectful to the President. Shikena

Rubbish! Are you trying to infer that any person that desires to make use of the stadium doesn't have to go through the state's Ministry of Sports? Should the PDP have gone to Radio Rivers or other radio stations to carry out a referendum to seek the people's (the owners according to you) approval?

They sought and he said no , GEJ's action is a typical abuse of power, the fact that Amaechi Said no , presidency should have found another venue and non of this would have happened, but the voices in GEJ's head told him

Haba , a whole you , you are the president for God's sake , this amaechi is a small boy to you, Oya command them to force the gate open and put soldiers everywhere, You are the Commander in chief joor

and the mumu just did that, You want to borrow something from someone even if you were the one who gave the person the thing initially, if the new owner says no , then accept no and look elsewhere, forcing what you want out of people is what we call Alonilowogba and that's what GEJ IS

I thought jonathan was a weakling
Now, when, Where and how does the issue of force come into play?
Can you be a weakling and a bully at the same time
Or is this another jekyll and hyde or smeagol kinda thingy?
Or maybe you're just confusedundecided

Ameachi is a charismatic and dogged diplomats. I believe his profession has a lawyer gave him an edge and he definitely will be in the ranks of those who stood there feet on tough grounds for what they believe in. Ameachi will be missed in Decades to come for he has shown than the human mind and voice can never be surpressed except you have chosen to be surpressed. If GEJ had a quater of what Ameachi has in his skull, Nigeria would have been a better place for all. Am beginning to see what Prof. Wole Soyinka saw before he likened GEJ to king Nebuchardenezzar. The Rivers people also re divided as what we call a president will never try such in Lagos as he used a federal asset for his campaign in Lagos. How dare will a reasonable, sane and interllectual man use the military to take over a state owned property built with the state tax payers money? Sigh....... More reason that "cluelessness" and "confused" as been the most rampant word used of recent.

How dare
DARE
Now why do I like that word? undecided
Ain't so clueless now is he?

Nigeria is a federal state, not a unitary state. All the components parts get their power from the Constitution, not the centre.
Where in the constitution that empowered governor like Amaechi to insult the president at will?

I would have wanted only the warped minds to lay siege on this thread. After reading many comments here there is every reason to believe education is totally dead in Nigeria. Majority still do not know what democracy and rule of law is maybe out of sentiments or sheer mischief and just ignorance. Am afraid but we might remain like this for a long time. This goes for all parties because even when an illegal action tends to favour the opposition you will see equal reaction from majority of supporters. So it's just a vicious circle but I pray things change really this time if an opposition party can get on the seat of power so democracy can keep developing.

And yet when he tries to tackle other challenges democratically, he gets labelled weak, clueless, slowpoke and what not

Sorry, you can't have it both ways

And also you can't rant in both scenarios.

Presidency Senate state local and individual even if GEJ paid for stadium, someone controls that state where the stadium is. If the man controlling the state says no. Why must your Oga forcefully take what he wants?

Your logic untwisted mine right?

Thank you but according to press release why did amaechi deny the use of the stadium? He said the stadium was going through reconstruction /renovation he wouldn't say a white lie like that since he knows anybody can dispute his claims with a few photos, definitely construction works is going on in the stadium

On the other hand the commander in thief assumed it's an insult, brought soldiers and took over the stadium, so in your pure mind who is biased and sentimental

If you ever take a course in conflict resolution, you will be amazed that you can't ever solve this simple problem fairly, as long as you are looking at it as a fight between Jona and Amaechi.

Whereas it may appear as a fight between the governor and the president on the surface, the truth is that it is a fight between PDP and APC members in Rivers. Amaechi and Jonathan represent the highest authorities in this fight.

So if we can drop our biases and think of the people of rivers state as the key actors in this fight, there will be no iota of doubt in anybody's mind that Amaechi isn't being fair to PDP members in Rivers. He is the State governor and not APC governor. He has an obligation to the people of Rivers state and not APC members only.

Goodluck is only being reactionary. That doesn't mean that he's right in his approach but then again, you live in Africa where anything and everything goes.

I don't like any of the parties nor their candidates. When I say that Jonathan deserves another chance, it is based on history and also performances of the leaders before him. I don't mean that he's the best thing that can happen to us. Buhari for me is a big fat NO. He truncated our democracy and jailed people indiscriminately. He ruled by decrees and had no love for humanity. He's too old and not well educated. He's not innocent altogether. I respect him but it is time to retire. When will my time come, at this rate? Buhari ruled me 29 yrs ago by force. Now you want me to vote in Buhari with my two eyes open? I can't fold my hands and watch someone that I am better than in every single way, take advantage of me because he's a Hausa-Fulani man. It is an insult to people above 40.

I need somebody between 40-60. Anything above 60 ain't good for us. We need to take our country back from the likes of Buhari, ObJ, Anineh, IBB, Clark, Tinubu and Tukur. They have done enough and we say thank you.

I am sorry if I digressed a bit. Thanks for your patience and understanding. God bless Nigeria.

Speaking of retards,

Have you ever wondered Why,

1- the walls of your room are padded?

2- why your hands are permanently Bound behind your bacK?

3- why people come to stuff drugs down your throat at regular intervals?

4- why your room has no windows and you're never allowed to leave it unattended?

5- why whenever you leave your room, apart from those beefy guys who escort you, and that man in a labcoat who inspects you, every other person you see has this of focus look on their faces and are acting weird?

Not that i'm expecting you to understand any of these soon, but perharps one day your meds will finally come good for you and you'll realise someone (me) was looking out for you.
