NA scorpion light tanks in storage, sometimes I wonder if we at really at war in this country, what will it Cost to upgrade these things and put them on the battlefield ?
New/refurbished engines, new gunner/ commander sights for improved accuracy and night fighting capability and swap the guns for 20mm cannons.

Just like that your have an cheap and effective killer to hunt down any BHT technical Troops encounter.

We just aren’t serious in this country, later somehow will say Boko Haram receives satellite intel from foreign countries.
It beats me walahi

The USA lost 4 NCO they were 4 S.sargeants and they issue went all the way too the top. Look at the depth of investigation and reprimand over the loss of just 4 soldiers. Below is a YouTube clip of the investigation that has been made largely public. There is a full one hour video with 4 star general explaining the issues.

The issue of the USASF in Niger caused a stir not just because of their death but because of the place of their death

But that's not to take away anything from the whole point, NASS i-dont-care attitude is disturbing. Only time they show concern is when there's some money they aren't getting a cut in

Similar hilux, different camo pattern here in the NE.

Other branches should start making use of this configuration. Offers better protection and more rugged. I heard its expensive but they can also afford it.

The only problem here is I feel cameras like this should be mounted. I contacted this guy who sent me this forum link to discuss with MOD / DHQ but he said he has written to proforce to procure a unit of their vehicle which they'll modify.

This will help us enough, men die because of what we don't see ahead. Visual is limited when driving in this area. Shekau boys hiding behind trees to lay close ambush etc

so in essence developing a hunter killer vehicle to take care of the technicals

Yes but still it can't be well distributed. If BHT will attack a military convoy rolling with 5 Technicals then bokoharam will be there waiting on us with about 15 Technicals and kids lurking around the bush.

Those kids are ruthless, they at times lay the ambush knowing we won't won't to fire at them but their presence means there's something dangerous coming in soon. But man don't care again, if I ask you to drop your riffle from afar and you still stay there pointing and coming close, you'll get some into your body . I didn't come here to die.

They're kids, most are less than 20. Find a way to make them drop the riffle first but it seems these kids enjoy what they're doing.

To me, they're more excited about the riffle they carry.

PRESS RELEASE

SECURITY ADMINISTRATORS IN KADUNA BRAINSTORM AND RESTRATEGISE ON THE WAY FORWARD

1. The dynamic nature of security management makes it absolutely necessary for regular reviewing and restrategising to meet the contemporary challenges. The prevailing security situation in the Area of Operational Responsibility of 1 Division Nigerian Army requires focused and wholistic approach by all stakeholders in the security architecture. In line with this, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division NA, Major General Mohammed Mohammed convened pioneer meeting of security Administrators to brainstorm and explore strategies that could curtail the emerging threats. In attendance were all the Heads and Representatives of security agencies in Kaduna State Commands.

2. During the meeting, General Mohammed briefed the stakeholders on the ongoing efforts by the Division aimed at combating armed banditry, kidnappings and cattle rustling. He stated that the objective of the meeting is to achieve synergy of efforts among the agencies and to plan towards esbtalishing a Fusion Center for exchange of information and intelligence between the security and law enforcement agencies in Kaduna State. The GOC said that this unique arrangement will provide additional platform for pulling and coordinating common human and material resources for effective security management.

3. In their various remarks, the stakeholders commended the initiative and expressed readiness to key into this noble idea for robust security arrangements in the state. They described it as barrier breaker of inter - agency rivalry, which would enhance response time and served as proactive measures towards forging a common front against unpredictable security threats.
