He can't buy it. I'm not sure he's ready for the public scrutiny that'll follow. The world will get in on Dangote's dealings not only for accountability but also racism. A cub with a rich English history all of a sudden taken over by an African. The questions, the ridicule will be bad PR for arsenal. All those "how did he become so rich in a nation with so many poor people?" "He's extorting his people, why are cement prices so high over there" "he has used his connections in government to get away with unscrupulous practices" "if he has that much money how come he's not using it to help his country people" etc. Dangote will spend more time defending himself than anything else. They'll find every way to justify it not happening without necessarily saying "we won't let an African own arsenal"

Any chance of that happening, we really need to clean the image of Nigeria. Nigeria has to be seen as a prosperous nation.

Word bro !

But he richer than Kronke that holds the highest shares and he his also richer than Usmanov that wants to buy the club too

What makes priemership such a joy to watch is the coverage, flair and finesse in its activities... if people like dangote don't invest in the NPL then how does it improve to world class standards.... I have no qualms with him buying arsenal (if he can pull it off) but with less than 2% of this total net worth he can raise another Nigerian team.... remember what orji Uzo kalu did with enyimba to make them a force to be reckoned with today....

by d way didn't he make all his money in Nigeria..

He cannot buy any Nigerian club cuz the NFF is unserious and bad biz men.
Any serious biz man would never invest in our league cuz we are bad market and until we put out hearts and house in order, we shall remain local.

you are right...if all this billionaires we have in Nigeria has at least one nigerian club to their name, our league would've been the best in Africa..NPL will attract huge international players..

I don't like Dangote but as a Nigerian first and a savvy football blogger, I will cry for joy if he buys Arsenal.

It will not only habour well for Nigeria but for me as a blogger and considering he is richer than both Kroenke and Usmanov, I won't mind him at Arsenal.

It will be difficult though. Usmanov seems a big fan of the club, Kroenke has a record of not selling his sports businesses. However, it is only difficult until it is done. Go Dangote, allez Monsieur Dangote. Allez.

The way some people reason just leaves on wondering where they were when brains were being given to people. Does he need to buy or sponsor any local club for him to acquire any elsewhere. Is that a criteria in the english FA??

Dangote is a businessman and reserves the right to invest his money where it pleases him. Had the major shareholders agreed to sell their stake, he would have been the owner of the club today and there would have been nothing you or a billion of your kind could have done about it.
you yarn dem the koko
