I don't know why some people are so greedy not tobunderstand the fact that God created the oil. Technology is moving so fast that oil can become irrelevant in the nearest future. A time in Nigeria we inches lived on cocoa which is from the west. It can be oil from one region now and something else from another region tomorrow. If only we unite and stop being greedy of one reason sources or the other. The country will move forward speedily. God bless Nigeria 3 Likes |

Re: Lagos Set To Join Oil Producing States As Production Begins This Year by Nobody: 4:51am On Jun 11, 2015 |
Omg all this because of 3000 barrels? In a country that produces 2000000. It is nothing. How much do u think will accrue to Lagos after all. Or you think they will sell at 40$ and send it all to Lagos state. They have not deducted cost of production then what goes to the fed.govt. honestly Lagos is just 3000 why all this chest thumping andmocking the regions that have sustained the country is happening?? |

Johntobi56: was it the Biafran or Nigerian troops that commited the Asaba massacre? Nigerian soldiers lined up most of the men in Asaba, and started shooting them, tagging them Biafra sympathizers. These were armless non combatants. |

Re: Lagos Set To Join Oil Producing States As Production Begins This Year by Nobody: 5:30am On Jun 11, 2015 |
I am not going to congratulate Lagos. This is a bad time to be an oil producer. Thanks to improvements in technology, everyone and his mother is now producing oil. Countries that twenty years ago were net importers of oil are now net exporters. The US used to buy half our oil...now it buys 3% of it. And oil prices are falling down as a result. And did I tell you that there is a car that can run on hydrogen cells alone? (Costs $60000...but that can change) So,it is important that Lagos focuses on becoming an innovative and industrial economy. Oil won't save them right now. And even if prices go up....it won't really really do much. 2 Likes |

I hope they find oil too in Kano or Sokoto... yorubas don already they show themselves here now. With oil in north, northerners will come dey dance shoki here too. Then everyone is happy. I just hope the oil they found is enough to offset the cost of hiring the rig not just a scam to get 13% derivation like the north wanted to do. SW and North stealing Nigeria dry since 1914. |
