Some girls invite their ex to show him they can never be together again. Others do so out of hypocrisy, they want it to look like they hold no grudges. Some just invite because others are inviting. Most invite their ex so he can see she found the prince charming he couldn't be, and she is so happy without him, that way he feels bad especially if its a big wedding, mainly to punish the guy.
