Hi great Farmers, i want to start rearing snails, i am base in Lagos mainland to be precise, i wan to construct a pen, first of all how many months do snails stay before u can harvest them. atleast i want to start with 100 pieces will my pen contain, if they lay eggs in every 3 days and i completed my harshing after 30/32 days. can i join them with the bigger snails and how long does it take to harvest them for selling . i would so much appreciate if more light is shared

I can give you the specification of pen to construct that can contain 100 big snails.
Never put hatchling with big snails until they re at least 4 months old.

You can start a snail farm even when you are in school, its not a stressful business and equally a long term investment. If you have a small piece of land at your disposal, you can start off. And be visiting, maybe twice a week (ie if the land is close to your school).

Alternatively you can start and have someone look after it for you (parents or younger siblings etc), then call periodically to know that status of your farm. By the time you are out of school, you'll have much snails to sell.
